How is the optical image stabilization at macro close and fully zoomed in? Is there alot of shake even with this feature enabled? Let me know. I'm narrowing down my 1st hd camcorder pick.

Enough of the dog people. yes he is cute but the video is about OIS. The camcorder is the Samsung HMX-H106 and the video really shows the difference in not having OIS. I have it and love it.

Thanks. The thumbs down is probably either because my comment is correct and that person can't accept the truth or someone is pissed that I have the unit or both. Either way. I am quite impressed more each day with the camcorder. Only wish it had a protective bag/pouch to put it in and its numerous wires/cords.

Most if not all camcorders will shake like that when zoomed unless they have some sort of stabilzation or on a tripod.

is only usefull at full zoom

on a 35mm camera. its useless from wide angle to 100/105mm. but anything above 100/200mm you deffinately need it. either that or a tripod/monopod
