I love this game, and out of the entire thing, it was the stupid blue orbs that follow you around that pissed me off the most. I have never shown anger towards anything in a game before or since.

The weakest point of this boss was all in your head I found. Take the hits and just keep attacking. It's impossible not to get hit. Also, the most vulnerable time for the boss is in it's first form where it moves and prepares the waterfall. Just fly near it's noggin' and don't stop attacking. That's where you'll get the most hits in.

I miss the video games of old where bosses like the "Dark Demon" were so hard to beat and put up a challenge and a "decent challenge" for very pro players. Nowaday bosses suck and are made just for the blind kids to kill them with no strategy at all; Futhermore, the games of today puts you over several hours of trainings and tutorials you earn money to buy weapons or you earn skill points to raise your magics or abilities and master them for that? to spam just a ssingle skill or move? pathetic.

WTG! I could never beat this boss. At the time, I called the gaming hot line. He said it is one of the hardest bosses ever, and he could never defeat it.

were you actually playing it using the snes or an emulator ? i'm not really sure because using the emulator is nearly impossible to beat him

@LordTyphoon Don't be so arrogant, he actually has a point. The control response on any pc emulator is far more laggy then on real videogame hardware. Today emulators are good and well made, but since they're not an official software interpretation of the hardware (since they weren't released by their companies, who has all the project sheets of their videogames) ,they are not, and will never be truly perfect. That's why I end up playing my most of my retrogames on the Wii's virtual console.

@LordTyphoon Yes, I know. But VC uses licensed, official emulators. The issues I pointed out are referred to PC emulation and unnofficial emulations in general. I was explaining that, since programmers don't have access to the actual datasheets of videogames, they have to reverse-engineer the whole thing, resulting in a less accurate emulation, in all cases. What I think william69952 was referring to is the controller lag, that exists in any PC emulation (because of OS driver interface).

For the longest time, my Mom wouldn't let me rent it cuz it had a demon on the cover...I had to rent some gay shit called Clay World. The dark demon is not as hard as you think. It's really just a matter of finding the right times when to hit it, on 3 headed mode, just before it calls that red waterfall, you can hit him 6 or 7 times wich is a lot of damage, Also the death scrolls damage the bosses too, that's a few free hits.
