Smoke is toxic, it contains 45 ingredients known to cause cancer. Sure there are people out there that are alive and well, heck there's sun bathers who have managed to avoid getting skin cancer, that doesn't mean everyone who goes out in the sun won't get sun damage, or skin cancer.

A commercial about suicide makes you want to smoke. Man, I guess the fat deposits from smoking are starting to building up in your brain and block rational thought. I predict that because of the build up of fatty deposits in your brain that you continue to loss more of your rational thought and that you will be having a stroke soon that will leave you a veggie.
Why don't you just jump off a roof like the people in the PSA. It's the same as suicide from cigs and it's a lot quicker (though far more gory). I am a proponent of measures against global warming, too, and participated in Earth Hour last night. as a lover of RWS I completely shun this commercial. not because I'm a smoker, and not because I believe smoking is not a problem. where is the proof to these claims though? this claim says 1.5 million people, that's quite a large study, yet it does not say, "a study at the university of Boston (or wherever it "took" place). Dare I say that 2 people you know who died of lung cancer in their 20's is not only extremely inprobable, but is also statistically almost impossible. Only 1 in 3 people who smoke die from smoking, and being as most health affects take upwards of 20 years to have any sort of longer term affect. Why don't you just jump off a roof like the people in the PSA. It's the same as suicide from cigs and it's a lot quicker (though far more gory). Anyhow, it may or may not be painful but I assure you it's not as painful as dying a prolonged death from cancer. Who said anything about doing it in the name of "planet protection"? It's being done so I don't have to breathe smoke when I go out to eat. That's it. By the way, I don't drive an SUV. I am a proponent of measures against global warming, too, and participated in Earth Hour last night. Granted, SUV's do have higher greenhouse emissions, but it's not as nauseating as having to inhale smoke when I go to a restaurant. Nonsmokers shouldn't have to pay for your mistakes.

It's like they're saying that just because you smoke, you don't have any respect for non-smokers.
