You shouldn't use tape. You can get dependent on it and it may not be the correct note. Instead, train your ear, which will work better in the long run.
I learned with tapes in 6th grade and I play just fine now without them. ^^ My orchestra thought that was what was best, because if you have tapes, you KNOW those are the right notes, and then your fingers will remember where to go, y'know, muscle memory. I had them on for about a year, and then got them off, now I'm in 8th grade and I play fine without them. If you have tapes also, you know that's where you should your finger, and your ear will get used to hearing it like that. :)
i played the cello for about 2yrs now counting this year and I WANA PLAY THIS SOOO BADLY im in the 7th grd and i can play some of it on he piano man i just want this soong but ur great i am like 1st and 2nd chair sometimes it depends ya kno there r only to cellos in my class so yeah BUT LOVE IT KEEP UP DA WORK
