I just got this guy today and he is quite awesome......I wish that his arms pegged in vs slide down hold in place but still is quite impressive

The figure is figgity, but I am with you, of all my "Primes" this is one of my favorites.

I got him in the Galvatron 2 pack fro $20 from a collector shop who had no idea what it was when they first came out. I knew nothing of BW2 but I was still right out the door!

To this day both are favorites on my shelves.

I'm seriously considering about buying 2 Lio Convoy 1998 versions (One set in Lion mode and the second one in robot mode for a speical display I'm setting up) whether it is the Gold and Silver version, the Purple and Black version of the Anime accurate version depending on the price and the shipping though.

i just got the flash version in an an interesting gold color but after two days of masking and spray paint his robot mode is classic red and blue lioconvoy colors and he is freakin SWEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With the clear beast mode colors . too die for to fans. problem with flash convoy is LOOSE FREAKIN JOINTS but tak him apart piece by piece add sum super glue and then swiviling till it drys makes tight joints. i got the best one of all im very proud. ill sell one i got an extra.

But convoy also means a group of vehicles traveling together in English.

To me Leo Prime and Lio Convoy will always be two completely different characters.

Jt is partly correct. The original name for OP is convoy.

convoy is the named used for Diaclone line with no hardly any changes to the actual toy; they basically kept the original name of the toy when they brought TF to jpn. So basically, optimus prime's name is originally convoy even if it was from a different toyline FYI, even though the transformers toon was mostly developed in the us, the character models were done in jpn but was simpified by a flippino american artist.

Regardless of a repaint leo prime commin out with lio convoy's deco, it depends on the bio and the consumer. l believe they are the same robot especially how lio convoy is roughly translated as leo prime. lio = leo and convoy = prime.

Until Hasbro makes a bio card that mentions the two are the same character, people will think whatever they want.

I've seen the first 15 eps of Beast Wars 2, and it has the Black Lio Convoy in ep 15 I think. He's basically created from this camera thing which makes a negative version of Lio Convoy. It was rather odd.
