  • I agree you guys. There was a time for this with our fathers and it sounds like we were the children of those fathers.

    I actually remeber being in elementary school and singing this in music class. My dad also had a collection of Marty Robbins records.

    I have never forgotten this song; always in the back of my memory...

  • Even with the disease and violence and danger, I still wish I could go back to the times of riding on horseback from town to town. Under the starry Texas sky and in the dusty streets of towns, hearing music and laughter from buildings, seeing warm candlelight come from the windows. Seems simple but still so dangerous. Great song and great video!
