  • This just might be one of my top 5 songs. Love it. Praise God!

  • @hawkinman18 - LOL! Please don't insult Daryl by saying "like the Gospel version of the late Luther Vandros." Daryl is MUCH better in my opinion. lol!!

  • Daryl the "ANOINTED ! ONE " ...WOW !!!

  • The best male vocalist in Gospel music.

  • Gospel classic! What year was this record released?

  • he is preparing me i have been listening to for 2 week and when they song it in church i know that god is getting ready for somthing i just pray that i will be ready

  • IT JUST FEELS GOOD TO SEE SOMEONE FREELY SINGING TO THE LORD AND NOT SINGING HOW SOMEONE ELSE WANTS YOU TO SING OR DELIVER A SONG. I FEEL LIKE WE SHOULD USE THE SINGING STYLE THAT GOD GIFTED US WITH AS LONG AS WE ARE SINGING TO HIS GLORY AND HIS PEOPLE ARE BEING EDIFIED.

  • u dont evn have 2 be goin thru something, this song will move u 2 tears if u have evr been touched by Christ!

  • he's getting me ready 2 go into the promises i thank you lord for the humility of the cross in jesus name...

  • timely message

  • @frsh6272 Yes i meant it was good and his vocal ability is still one of the best you'll ever hear

  • This song helped inspired and helped me when my Mother was suffering and passed away from cancer. Thank God for artist who can touch the lives of others that they have never met through Gospel Music and Honestly Preaching the Word of God!

  • 1:22 is the sickest thing you can hear as a vocalist who belives in singing it with your heart or not at all

  • @bigdaddy0575 Did you mean it was good? I am getting kind of old here, help me out.

  • 1:22 is the sickest thing you can hear as a vocalist who belives in singing it with your heart or not at all

  • Love this song...the "next matter" in my life...I believe Lord!

  • I love this song...

  • i love this song

  • Daryl Coley is amazing. He is the epitome of excellence in gospel music. This DVD sounds a bit distorted but that doesn't change Daryl's exceptional gift. I heard him for the first time in the 70's and was blown away. We need to recognize him and appreciate his contribution to music before he's gone.

  • Therre are some songs and some slngers that really do justice to a song, and there are certain songs that convey such a deep and powerful message that the message is more pronounced. This song has the blend of the great singer capturing the heart and the marriage is so powerful and empowering that the blend drills to the bone and possibly to the marrow. Wonderful.I agree with jik80 that it is a blessing that God prepares you and that message comes is clear as crystal.

  • YESssssssssssssssssssssS

  • so glad to serve a God who dosen't just throw you into a situation...he prepares you

  • Thank God for directtv channel 827 xm radio christmas week was the first time i ever heard this song.Glory to God

  • ok i am about to just shout and halla......such an anointing

  • This song has blessed me a great deal. This song brought me through some really hard places I've been in along my travels to getting my life right. To be all that God says I am. Trying not to keep on disappointing him. I would like to share something that I learned. Stop arguing and fighting with God cause he never looses, even when you win you loose.

  • Lord I thank you for preparation... This song is a blessing everytime I hear it

  • Man...I love this song

  • Daryl Coley has arguably the most incredible male voice which spans a wide variety of musical genres. I like to say that he's like the Gospel version of the late Luther Vandros, but even better!! Daryl has a superb mastery of vocal technique! Just soul stiring!! Thank the Good Lord for his tallent!!!

  • @hawkinman18 he was classically trained and he was classically trained on the piano as well. His vocal technique is best known undescribed in a way. His runs&riffs are the best. His head, middle and chest voice are all connected. His breath management and range are incredible.

  • @hawkinman18 YOU are on point he is just unexplainable, his vocal speaks for itself. His gift has made room for him.

  • THANK YOU FATHER!! For this timely word.

  • Daryl ain't nothin to be messed wit!!

  • That can be sermon! Lol

  • Earny...luv

  • ok, one more thing....those runs! its freakin amazing!

  • It don't even make sense how good this man can sing...i have never heard anyone else that could even compete! I love his voice!!!

  • that run at 1:20 !! Yes Lord!

  • Lord I can't take it -- but you can. Thank you right now for preparing me!

  • I fell in love with this song a long time ago and it still makes me cry right today...love Daryl Coley..

  • wow seeing this video, i must say that Roland Martin from CNN looks just like Daryl. i love this song though. i agree, music these days don't know about the old school.

  • I agree, I think it's the head

  • I heard a choir sing this song. I agree. They don't sing songs like this one anymore.

  • my old girl would play this all the time when i was younger, i love this song, and even up until this day "He's preparing me"

  • OMG! I haven't heard this song in so long. It blesses me so much. This post is a blessing to me. Thank you and God bless you.

  • God prepared me for so many unexpected matters in my life. I listen to this song at least 3 times a week. God is so awesome! And Mr. Coley you are an excellent singer. God Bless!

  • Well I must say Daryl Coley is an excellent for singer. I Have not heard a better one.

That Mister sings better than I have heard

    It's sounds very very good

You sing better than I heard ,

    Regards Ronald

    from holland

  • Wow we sang this about a year after Wilmington Chester out this out. I had a guy in my church and on my choir named Dell who could sing this. Wow what great memories. I miss you Dell!

  • u talking about dale stone???? i never heard him sing. but rip dale

    d. hill

  • I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG

  • I immediately curse the one who says, "Darryl can't sing" thid dude is GREAT

  • they don't make gospel like this anymore. classic.

  • Oh my God!!! Seeing this taked me back almost 20 years. God Bless the memory of Rev Earnest Davis Jr. Please post more of these songs.

  • Rev. Daryl Coley is one of the most gifted male singers to grace music. :-D

  • my GOD! whew!

  • one of my favorites. a classic. i STILL listen to this album on a regular basis.

  • What is the name of the album that this song is on? I have been trying to find it for a minute.

  • you can find it on the 12 Best Loved Songs by Daryl Coley or on Rev. Ernest Davis Jr & Wilmington Chester Mass Choir He's Preparing Me. It's an old album. might be hard to find. but you should be able to find 12 Best pretty easily.

  • thank you, found it at circuit city

  • you are most welcome. enjoy! which one did you find? wilmington chester mass or 12 best? the wilmington chester mass album is an awesome, classic album.

  • this is one of my all time favorites. I remember this from when i was a kid. My grandmother called these kind of gospel songs "spirituals". I love it

  • i luv this man he can sing his butt off

  • prepare me Lord!!!!!!!!! whew!

  • He is NOT dead how could ya'll say something like that

  • I don't think they meant any harm, they probably just didn't know. Charge it to their head and not their heart.

  • I love this song; Daryl's voice just touches my soul in a major way.

  • I truly believe that this man has been overlooked for an entire career. Him and Karen put me at awe with their vocal flexibility and creativity and boldness to easily attempt acrobatics that will cause others shame and mockery. I respect many others but this man truly needs to be honored as a musical genius. (And I ain't even COGIC)

  • Daryl is my favorite male gospel singer and I so love this song. It touches my in a major way.

  • im with you on that one! Daryl is my favorite too! no other man sings with that same passion other than the late Rev. James Moore! i had the pleasure of meeting Daryl in detroit and he is so humble!

  • Daryl was rocking that gumby with the part! But he KILLED this song like no other!

  • So right you are. The style is so late 80's, big hair, big glasses an shoulder pads. However, Darryl voice is truly timeless and one of a kind. A true find of Rev. James Cleveland.'He's Preparing Me' Amen, amen, AMEN!!

  • I would have to agree with laron214 but I would also say that they put out some but some albums since then..... they still my favorate choir in the world

  • This song takes us in EVERY year at communion! HEY HEY HEY OH JESUS!

  • One of the best vocalist in the world!

  • ya'll know that was the song, don't play! that choir never was the same after earnest davis died.

  • HOW DID HE DIE?

  • i'm not sure, but its been quite a while ago.

  • HE IS NOT DEAD!!!!!!!

  • if i'm wrong, please correct me. but i haven't seen him to my knowledge in ten years or more. and the choir's name was changed to earnest davis' wilmington chester as if in memorial. just like orlando drapers' associates after he died. but please correct me if i'm wrong.

  • i checked just to make sure that i wasn't spreading gossip, but ernest davis jr. died in 1991. the choir used his name for a while after that and later continued just as wilmington chester.

  • Ernest Davis has been dead since 1991!

  • hey, ima diehard fan of theirs and i have been sudyin them for ever...but i cant find out how he died!! do u kno how maybe?

  • With all do respect, it is no ones business how he died! When will we discontinue our insatiable need of wanting to know other folks personaal business? Again, I say this with respect and I am not angry at all!!

  • oh i feel you!!! but i guess its a sense of closure for a true fan. i did find out and i felt a release. i'm glad he is at rest tho too....

  • I can see where you're coming from! Thanks for your eloquent response because I certainly meant no harm. Based on your response there was none taken. Have a good day!

  • A great song written by an anointed writer.

  • Carol Antrom wrote it

  • That's the Honorable Rev. Earnest Davis J. and the Wilmington Chester Mass Choir

  • wow LOL

  • This is my fav singer in the world...he is the baddest gospel singer in the world.. today I love him

  • SING DARYL!

  • Man I really been waiting to see a clip of Daryl Coley singing this!!! Thank you so so much!

  • The greatest vocalist I have ever heard; no argument

  • OH MY LORD JESUS.
