  • please lose the noise (background track) on this vid so I can hear the V8 music...........

  • Fucking awesome!!! That little car has got to be fun as hell to drive!! make a nice drifter.

  • @giljacky dude you dont make an old chevy into a drift car only a hotrod

  • @roperjack nothing wrong with a drifting hot rod.

  • with line locks great burnouts are possible

  • @74VEGARACR more like garunteed.

  • where did you find that spoiler? i have 72 with a 406 in it. i did a baby burnout and posted it on youtube. check it out. the best part about my video is the pissed off mexicant neighbor yelling at the end.

  • awesome burnout man

  • did you happen to notice the water pouring out at 0:28

  • cool car skoalbandit

  • hi i was wondering if someone could help me out. im building a v8 vega and i cant find where to get motor mounts, any one know where to get some?

  • vega's where crap when built. the engine was an all aluminum block with no iron sleeves. the piston rings would eat through the soft bores and the engines would hand grenade at about 30-60K miles. With a different engine and drivetrain though the cars can be quite fun. this comming from someone who's done it.

  • this car so fast like my camel

  • looks like only jealous people post

  • Yeah all true. Rusted like no tommorow. Under powered. And bad engine. But I suppose you could "fix them up" and make them kick ass. With a better engine and some tweaking.

  • very nice video, music suites it well too. dad had a vega with built 350 4-speed that would pull the front wheels through 3rd

  • Look at 22 to 42 seconds. Do you see all of that smoke? That's what Vegas did when they were idling at a red light. That's why owners had to keep an extra case of oil in their trunks. They had to pull over every six blocks to add a quart of oil.

  • My dad has plans to restore his 72' Vega. It is a dark green with a white stripe. When he restores it, he will let me drive it a little bit, so I have a 1989 Dodge Ram and a 1972 Chevy Vega for my 2 cars, and I am only 15, almost 16.

  • you don't know what the hell your talking about...if you know shit about cars if you take car if it it wont rust the vega kicks ass

  • Vegas were pure crap.

  • wow. you put some real fucking thought into that one. shut the fuck up

  • I did put a lot of thought into it, asshole. My brother owned one, my cousin owned one, my father's friend owned one, some guy down the block from us owned one, and my high school biology teacher owned one. They all burned a quart of oil a DAY, they all had no power, they all rusted prematurely, and they all drove like shit. My "Vegas were pure crap" said it all very nicely, douchebag. I suppose you're going to tell me it was a good car?...ha ha ha...The Vega wasTYPICAL UAW CRAP...ha ha ha.

  • Chevy Vega=car made of compressed rust

  • do you know where I can get some body parts please let me know ?

  • what are you looking for? I have a couple fenders, a header valence, a headlight bucket or two, etc.

  • umm the orgional 4 banger sohc were pretty good once you bored em out and put ford tractor pistons in them, my dad had one like that that would run w/ Camaro's of the day

  • I have a stock 74 vega with the original 2.3 sohc inline 4 and auto trans what kind of cars could it compete with if any?

  • I told you . Start with the Yugo and work your way down.

  • V8 VEGAS are super cool

    70s outlaw street machines

  • I had a 72 Vega a 75 Vega Monza and a 77 Astra Wagon (Vega with a Pontiac nameplate). Even by 1970's GM standards, these cars were junk! But why did I own them if they were junk you ask? Poverty makes you do funny things.

  • hahha Amen brother. I know someone that had 2 of them and he had to tighten the oil filter everyday and it used to come loose and leak everywhere. They were utter crap as he says,

  • Good song. I like these cars. The front end kind of looks like a 70 camaro.

  • Bitchen video car sounds smooth and very easy to keep on the road.

  • i had a pontiac astra with a 327 4 spd very similar but i could never keep it straight on the road every time i got into it it wanted head for the ditch lol it was quite a fun tire shreddin basket case
