I'm not trying to get into anything here, I'm just not sure you have the details right because how could the father just think she was sleeping and only notice something was wrong when she wouldn't wake if she had a shattered skull, nearly every bone in her body broken, and had to be reconstructed just for her funeral?

I am 17 and I sometimes look after my english teacher's daughters. I would never do anything to hurt them. Responsability and sensibility have nothing to do with someones age.
I would NEVER leave my child with an 18 year old kid to look after. Me my husband or my mother or sisters are the only ones who can look after my kids, but I am there 80% of the time. The only time I'm away is when I am at work. Parents need to realise that being a parent means being there for your child. She had two parents why couldn't they work out some child care between them?? Now a little girl lost her life in the most tragic and I believe preventable of circumstances.
