I have learned many things watching the various tutorial videos you guys have done or the years; this being said, this video doesn't really teaching people on how to apply the film, when there's no audio (except the music in the foreground) included.

Many people (not just myself) learn from hearing the instructions as well as watching how something is done.

It is evident at certain times that there (perhaps) was voice audio-I mean how many times does one need to point to the same pop rivet?

This isn't the right way to aply vinyl, you should go from the middle to the sides not down.

stupid, that way you'll just get loads of airbubbles, it's easier to avoid them when you go from one end to the other like he did in the video.

nicely done. Why not use a fluid applicator and then sqeeze out the fluid . some warm soapy water makes a great application fluid. i have done it before when i modded my old keyboard and mouse.

Very nice. I have been thinking about doing this with some carbon film on my case and mouse. But it costs about 60$ in Denmark for a 24" * 39" sheet

I guess it's also better to cut the hole last because if you are off by even a few mm when laying down the vinyl, the hole will be wrong.

hey i just buaght some diamond plate vynl and 6ft u channle both are great!!!

but i put the vynl on the bottom of my diamond plate mod

by bottom i mean inside on bottom. and for my mod i took hdd cage out cuz it sucked. but what i did was made the hdd on the bottom/floor or the case and i just screwed 2 holes so i could mount. i bouaght the vynl so it would not get esd by and sharp edges even though i smoothed it out good (got worried) so my piont is. does the vynl give off esd????????

I had a pretty bad history with stickers...

In my stock... I have the vinyl [If you could call it that] for book covers. I'm gonna try using that. The only trying part is the sticker is in a roll, so drawing stuff on it is gonna be a pain. Other than that, I use silver duct tape for my designs.

It's vinyl. I've been in graphic design training 'n' crap, vinyl isn't really for armatures,a while back I was doing a PC case mod, actually that project was printed on sticker vinyl with lamination vinyl for protection. and well, he misapplied it and the print was pretty screwed over. We managed to fetch a few dollars with that PC though.
