  • Gotta give this a try when I get my Remora, you think I could do this but using powder die/food clouring instead of the GITD powder?

  • JOB DONE :P nice video

  • How durable are the expoy handles?

  • @mccullenj pretty good so far man. i wouldnt baton on that handle but other then that its pretty good. i think it also depends on the tang, how many holes and stuff to bond the epoxy together on both sides...

  • alright so i have my knife right? skeleton handle now i took cardstock and cut two peices out that match the handle out of cardstock. Im glueing them to my knife so itll be have cardstock handles then if i make a wall of tape around the knife and pour fiber glass resin in do you think it will work in replace of the expoxy

  • @wolfcookieo9 dont know. probably yes. i've never worked with resin...

  • thanks my man and i got an idea watching this video ive been doing micarta with resin but i printed out a desing on cardstock and glued it to my knife handle on each side and now im thinking about making a retaining wall like you did with tape but with wax paper and pouring reisn in do you think itll work?

  • @wolfcookieo9 sorry no idea what are you talking about

  • what kinda epoxy do you use?

  • @wolfcookieo9 devcon 5 minutes and system three t-88 overnight epoxy

  • '

    nice to make glow knife,,,

but remember no knife in the airport

  • @jeffjenn69 it got hard like rock. plus it has a very nice texture after being sanded. very decent grip on it imho

  • your welcome

  • i love it as virtuovice would say he he.

  • @12345macka thank you

  • what kind of knife is the 2nd one you showed with the glow in the dark handle

  • Very cool! I love it and I am going to give it a try.

  • Very cool Mike!

  • alright well thanks for the information ill look into epoxy

  • have you made videos or will you make a video about the different dyes and epoxy? please and thanks

  • @wolfcookieo9 i dont hav eany adn never tryed it but i do know that there are many different color dyes for epoxy...

  • great tutorial i think i might try and do this maybe not the glow dust not big into the but epoxy looks cool thanks

  • @wolfcookieo9 yeah i think epoxy isnt that bad even by itself. and there are all different dyes to make it any color you wish man

  • nice vid, i really want a glow in the handle, and i think i saw u cut ur self. lol

  • @MasterLiLHawk nooooo i didnt :) thank you hawk

  • @gavkoo what would you use to curve the handle?

  • @Xythe43 belt sander or dremel or drill sanding disk attachment...

  • Outstanding! Thanks.

  • damn!! awesome vid! amazing!

  • awesome man! definitely going to try that on my becker necker.

  • dude... ty for that vid, learned a lot.

  • beautiful! dude im really digging the how to vids btw

  • that is so awesome i want to do that to my beckernecker thank you so much for showing me how to do that

  • Thanks for sharing

  • @gavkoo Wow! Nice vid buddy! I'm subbing! I found you because of Jhynesyahoo

  • Very interesting vid! Thanks for sharing!

  • i have seen many people say the same thing especially with razor knives, some severed the tendon, so please be careful

  • @auradud3 i am trying to be careful all the time. but who works with knives will get cut once in a while, thats just the reality :)... and to be honest, if you really slip those gloves wouldnt help anything, especially with these utility knives...

  • @gavkoo wrong, but experience is the best teacher, good luck, be careful

  • my friend!!!!!!!!!!! please invest in some gloves, i would hate to see you cut yourself

  • @auradud3 i have lot of gloves. i dont use them in small work like that. i use them with bigger machines but not when i need to do some detailed work like that cutting :) hehe but thank you for looking up :)

  • I'm looking around for something that needs a new handle. :)

  • @troy5690 lmao. :)

  • That almost looks as cool as jade G-10! Great tutorial Gav!

  • @themediocrepirate yeah... almost lol

  • Nice job as always. keep up the great job.

  • @newsphotoman007 thanks

  • not something I would do (personal taste ;) ) but it's undeniably cool and this was a great tutorial. thanks man. I would do it for somebody else haha.

  • @ShawDAMAN totally understand that. the nice thing is that instead of glow dust you can add dye adn instead of glowing epoxy handle you can make colored epoxy.

  • One word, AWESOME!

  • @romeodelta1178 thanks man :)

  • That was awesome! Thanks for the depth!

  • @jacksondoughty you're welcome and thanks for watching

  • Awesome !!!

  • Thats awesome. I gotta try that.

  • how did u do the one with the holes, and tht is pretty kewl, i might try it with a cheapo neck knife and if i can do i put some spots into my other knives so i can find them in the dark, i got tht charge tti comin in the mail, so watch out for a review

  • @Troop66Guide i did this same exact thing and then drilled the holes through epoxy. fairly simple just need to be precise and have patience :) ncie pick up bro! looking forward to the review

  • @gavkoo antoher thing i thought of with this is to take like a toilet paper roll or just some rolled up paper and fill tht and suspened the knife in tht so u have extra and can make a hidden tang and some kewl curves to it, and fill ur hand, kinda like a mora knife

  • @Troop66Guide i thought of that but there are two things: its not so cheap to really waste it you know making some fancy fat form and then just shape it to something really nice and i still dont know how strong exactly it is. i've been carrying that blackjack for a bit and even tested it with some banging but nothing really hard, just simple knocks and bangs like if it would fall out of the hand or something. need to man up and just bash on it hard to see what it can really take

  • @gavkoo epoxy is some strong stuff, i dont think u will have a problem with it braking because its soft enough to flex a lil under pressure the only problem i could c is getting scratches on it because its softer then some other materials, maybe u could make some glow in the dark insert in the micarta scales for ur berreta lol, i just watched tht vid

  • @Troop66Guide lmao at berreta :D :D :D that was funny video :D

  • i was hoping you would do one of these videos!! thanks a lot! ill have to try this!!

  • Thanks For The video, i was just looking at some custom ones, They turned out nice,

  • heres a good question for you, would it be possible to make micarta scales with glow epoxy bolsters? that would look amazing!

  • cool video, I really want to do this, but that glow stuff sounds a bit pricey
