02 maxima exhaust and intake

7477238 ~ good call, the tensioner actually came off about two weeks ago, and blew the engine. Now I have a 70, 000 mile engine in it.

miketheman4190 ~ its actually an evo exhaust...well catback. I removed my cat, and have an insulated high flow cat on now. Sounds kinda dumb, but it softens the sound, and still allows it to flow smoothly

nice sound....looks to me like your burning a little oil..you should look into it because the vq35de engines are known for that

Sounds real good, not raspy and poppy. I hate hearing people saying louder is better cause thats not usually the case. Lol btw it seems you drive that car preety damn hard as it smokes quitea bit, the first VQ engine Ive seen do that.

I just bought it a couple months ago. I've only ran it hard a few times. Other than that it could only be to the mods made, maybe leaks somewhere causing the smoke.

I owned a 2000 Nissan Maxima back in 2004. Check your timing chain tensioner as they are one of the small faults that Maximas have. I could have sworn I heard a small rattle coming from it after you let off the gas.
