  • You have to read from my very first post all the way down if you want to know about the legion and the comparison of Army, Marines, and the Legion. Sorry its a bit long but I need to explain the differences.

    LEGIO! PATRIA!! NOSTRA!!

  • Thank you all for your service, it is a great cause that we are fighting for regardless of your branch or your country.

  • I am very proud of my time in the legion and do not regret it, I will forever be a legionnaire and very few people on these earth wear the white Kepi. If you want to join the Legion then do so just keep in mind its a hard life its not romantic

  • The one this for sure the Legion lives in me theres not one day of my life that I do not think about my time there and my fellow Legionnaires...talk about some hardcore guys. After you leave the Legion its when it become mystical, its when everyone wants to know what its like, and even today even SF team I am called Legionnaire.

  • We have done quite a few deployments by now I love my team and my job yet the guys in my team are jsut simply not in shape but lets be honest when have we ever seen Army SF guys to be in good physical fitness shape (not body building) so that was very shameful at first to deal with because my friend and I had a much different mentality.

  • I can tell you that SFAS was a complete joke for my friend and I, it was just girls scouts for us at the time since we were pretty much fresh of Calvi. We both got selected I am 18B and my friend 18E. Oh and the SERE course what a joke your should try the one at Lancero or Guiana

  • and we had to get waiver signed by the Special Forces Command in order to get our clearances again so it was out that two Legionnaires were trying out for SF for 20th Group

  • We came back to the States and joined the National Guard straight into 20th Group now my friend and I had made a pack to to speak about our time in the legion to anyone in the In the Guard it was just not important but our clearances had to be done again and well we could not hide those five years of our lives so it was a bit of a problem at first cause we had serve in a Foreign Military

  • Normally you get a lot of shit before you leave the Legion as if you are a good Legionnarie they do not want to loose you like any other Army they offer to promote you to sergeant etc etc and when that does not work and you still want to leave then your last couple of month can get a little hard but in our case it was not that they did not give us much crap as they Knew we were going to come back and go for SF here and fight the war and we did.

  • Now why did we leave the Legion its a simple Answer America was at war and yes in 05 there were french SF from 1er RPIMa in Afghanistan already there were talks that our SF (2 REP) guys were heading over there too. Before 04 my best friend and I had decided that we were going to just do five years and come back home and Join 20th SF Group (That is the reason why my friend and I did not try out for GCP or Recce).

  • Having said all that you get use to it and if u did your research then u knew what you were going for. Just dont think your going to the legion its its all romance and mystic, that becomes true after you leave the legion everyone looks at you like u come from another planet at least with us back in the US Army.

  • The garrison life is just not easy, the constant uniforms with the dam 14 creases, the marching and singing and you always spend X-mas and New Years together... Remember the Legion is your Family that goes for the sergeants that leave off post they have to spend it with the real family the legion.... the family at home have to wait.

  • . One thing, dont be 1 second late the next day not one second..... I'll leave it at that.

  • the part that most people cant deal with is the fact of the iron grip the legion has over your personal life we worked from Monday to Saturday after 6pm and If u did not have some duty or sport team training u are able to go out to town but its expensive in town and we dont get pay much.

  • . Both my friend and I we just in disbelieve how far you are pushed to and how demanding it can be. We both thought we were tough former Ranger and former Recon yet when we got to Calvi we soon realized how demanding things were going to get. Now this is all the physical part,

  • Gentleman, that is a true statement. Desert Commando School was no difference another hell hole made a man of out you. You cannot begin to imagine what is like to march all day in the desert when temperatures are in the 140s degrees yes that hot unless it climbs over 150s then we stop training. I can tell you this no infantry in the world can march and fight in the desert as effective as the legion does.

  • Now in he legion I went to Lancero commando School in Colombia which was much harder then Ranger School to me and I think anyone that went to Ranger School and Lancero School will agree. I also went to Jungle Commando School in Guiana I can tell you that was just much harder than jungle warfare school or Lancero school there is an old saying Le légionnaire quittera la Guyane, Guyane ne quittera jamais le légionnaire (Legionnaire will leave Guiana, but Guiana will never leave the Legionnaire)

  • Our American military fitness mentality is nowhere near of the legion its just a different mentality. I went to Ranger school as a young PFC my class was the last class to have desert face before it was closed because the Army said training in desert was just not our thing anymore but the reality was due to budget cuts, I also went to Jungle warfare school in FT Sherman Panama,

  • If you think that PT is hard in the Army or even Marines (Ranger Bat or Recon) you are really mistaken. 2 REP its all about training and fucking PT it never ends. If you think you know what a force march (road march) because u were or are a grunt in the Army or Marines you are dreaming, in Calvi I learned the meaning of road marches and by the way once a year we walked across the island. If you think you jump a lot in Battalion or 82nd for that matter you are crazy, we jumped constantly!

  • . Remember I got to 3rd bat a year after Somalia and I left a year and a half before 911 go figure!!. So Back to the Legion, our time in the legion or I should say 2 REP its just something you have to live in it to understand what it is, there is nothing romantic about it I can promise you that but yet it is an honor to be there the pay sucks big time but if u went to the legion you are not there for the pay.

  • When I left the Army I waited 4 moths for my best friend to get out so we could leave together. Now keep in mind we left by May 2000, so having said that i was in the Legion for just over a Year when 911 happen and that and about a month later my battalion did the first major assault into Afghanistan so I missed it and needless to say I was furious I had all my people at war now and for the second time I missed it.

  • We both served in 2 REP and yes there is a Special Ops Units in 2 REP and believe me these are one group of tough guys in a sense of fitness its just at a level that its hard to comprehend I could have try out for it but I did not and I'll explain why a little later.

  • We trained hard and all the time not too mention constant uniform appearance was just crazy. I loved my time in battalion but I like some people out there I was overwhelmed with thoughts of the Legion and so did my best friend I cannot speak for his time in the Marines but I can tell you this not the Army or the Marines compare to the Legion....thats an understatement.

  • . I spent 6 years in 3rd ranger battalion from 94-2000 and my best friend was in the marines for the same amount of time as a grunt and then 2nd Recon Battalion. I can tell you that during my time in 3rd Bat PT was just off the chain, very demanding and the life was very strict but what I hated the most was the dam Ranger high and tight every Sunday!.

  • I will use my given first name from the legion and my best friend's given name too, reason for that is that we are both serving at the moment in 20th Group and do not want people trying to figure out who we are. Again, this is from our point of view therefore do not make assumptions. My given name is Steffan and my best friend Gaetan, we are both Americans and we both served in the US military before going to the legion.

  • its a lot to write so ill do it in sections and try to keep up.

  • To all the people here who served in the military to fight the war on terror thank you for your service! Now, the fact that we are talking about the legion here which it is near and dear to my heart I need to clear up something here. This is from my point of view and my best friend who we served together in the Legion from 2000-2005.

  • U.S. military is not shit compare to any other on earth look at the recruits the US ARMY recruits kids from prep school.

Look at the French recruits people who simply want to see action.

Am in the U.S. Army and their is nothing special just kids that want to use up benefits and the ones who do want action and combat get kicked out or discriminated as crazies.

I'd rather just become a recruiter at this point and finish my last 2 years and get the fuck out of this depressing place.

  • Please go up to a Marine Gunny and tell him that.

  • @macsvens Marines and other military branches always give eachother shit. They aren't being serious, they all know they are great at what they do in their own ways.

  • Wow Pigeonpsycho, i love how your dad being a vet just gave you "military experience", considering YOUR military credentials are "cadet" (hahahaha) and "daddy". Pretty shameful your hiding behind pops, i wish your dad could read what you just wrote. Kids like you get wrecked in my unit, i've seen it happen before.

  • aaaarghhh those voice overs XD ,.horrible voices.

  • in combat the get water n bullets

  • No disrespect intended, but because of the reputation earned from brutallity in past training and the type of men they recruit people seem to think Legionares are some kind of supermen,

not saying these men aint good soldiers but what little ive seen of them I would say thier no better or worse than any other Armies elite Forces ie British Royal Marines or Para's ect

  • @funkyfenman

Um ofcourse not they're not supermen, soldiers like any others, they just have extraordinary high level of discipline and loyalty.

  • @BaFUD

The backbone of any good Regiment

  • @funkyfenman

And thats why they got good reputation, voila.

  • can my retarded broter bilo join?

  • Damn wouldn't mind joining if I didn't have 4 small kids, I live in the US

  • I read the FAQ on the official site, and iam very interested to join, i know some french and physically, i think iam within normal. However my vision is not 20\20 , iam not blind tough but i do not have perfect vision at far, can it be an impediment? i usually dont use glasses tough, just for driving and such. if someone can answer me , thanks.

  • @Atrahasis7 you can join if u wear glasses but not bein able to see far is going to hinder ur chances, imagine shooting at an enemy 300 400 500 yards away do u think u could hit them?

  • No, asthmatics can generally not join the FFL; It's spelled Marine Corps.; and if you ask any decent U.S. Marine, Royal Marine or Legionnaire who is better? They'll tell you the other two.

  • I have much respect for the FFL. Funny though, most people who compare the USMC to the FFL and do so derogatorily and with base language have usually never served in ANYTHING. I guess it'll always be the case. And yes, I'm a US Marine. Sorry if you didn't like this post or my words were too advanced.....

  • can asthmatics join the FFL

  • If anyone here can compare the U.S.M.C. to the Legion, well, wake up! the Marines aint shit compared to these guys

  • my retard brother wants to join

  • Delta Force does a way better job than the legion does....thier better trained....better with guns....and their more deadly.

  • @emmurefan555 Please answer me why you even posted this comment? Delta Force is a counter terrorism force and the French Foreign Legion is more of a peace keeping force. Why would you even post this if there both entirely different and have no simmularities? This comment is stupid, period.

  • @emmurefan555 cuz they are special forces you dumb fuck -_-

  • @emmurefan555 and what qualifications do you have to make that judgement, have you traind with both the leagon and delta?

  • All the recruits learn the language one way or another. Hard way.

  • French Foreign Army is not under French National army. It's a special division.

  • These guys make US Marines look like a bunch of girlscouts

  • @rjholling My ass, USMC is of pure warrior tradition. A chip of the old block of the British Royal Marines. Learning how to do all you "basic trianing" the French way is probably not going to get you very far. Especially when you have a comment like that watching a small video like this. -_-

  • @dabom12898 problem is anyone can join the USMC, they're used as cannon fodder. Anyone can join, always sent in first.

  • @pigeonpsycho If anyone can join then please tell me why the Corps is the smallest military branch of the US but can do twice the work of the army? I'm sure being in the Legion would be quite an experience but the ones you call "cannon fodder" can kick any ones ass, anywhere in the world, in a matter of 6 hrs. So please tell me how ANYONE can join such an elite group of warriors?

  • @dabom12898 there's no draft, that's why. Again, when there's a world war or the draft comes back, they'll fill up the marine core and send em in

  • @pigeonpsycho Their is still a reason why the Marines are a minority. And they are gona stay that way. In what point of that do you not understand? Theres a reason why their numbers are so small. Why not look it up before blasting off on what ever liberal bullshit you got you "info" on.

  • Comment removed

  • @pigeonpsycho if what you say is true, then no one would be able to join the legion -_-

  • @dabom12898 No... because anyone can join the USMC... not everyone gets to join the Legion...

  • @pigeonpsycho by the way, the only reason the marines were at capasity is because of the Draft you dumbass, and they were never full, their always willing to take a few good men, too bad you didnt make the cut! hahahah pussy.

  • @MrUFMA they're always willing to take on men, which is the point i made and you just verified. thanks. Not to mention those recruiters that lurk around shopping malls trying to lure kids in and then send them off to Afghanistan. Pathetic to even compare them to the Legion.

  • @pigeonpsycho well heres the facts, im a marine, did 2 combat tours in iraq, now either going to be a cop, or go back into the military. you on the other hand, have done nothing, are doing nothing, and will continue to do nothing, so say what you want about the marines, and the legion, both are bad ass for sure, you on the other hand, will be on here picking fights for another 10 years with nothing to show for it. marine corp wins, the legion wins, i win, you lose. just shut up and join!

  • @MrUFMA I'm confused, I run my own IT company down here in the south of England, so don't act like you know me but continue to show your ignorance by all means. The military is a last resort really, seeing as it's used by the elite of this world. To quote Henry Kissenger " military men are dumb, stupid animals, to be used as pawns for foreign policy ". That's what your bosses think of you. I doubt you've actually served though.

  • @pigeonpsycho So, if military men are dumb and stupid animals, what would you do with the problems in Libia ? Would you have sent a magician to make Gaddafi stop killing his own citizens ? At times, military actions are the only way, used a last resort. Look at what the American Green Berets are doing all over the world. Training local military units and police men to be ready to fight the war instead of the foreign soldiers. For every 700 locals they train, 700 American troops can go home.

  • @Lazyaoe Well first off it's Libya, also the so called ' riots ' have actually been a foreign intelligence operation, we've had special forces in there for a while organising it all. Second Gaddafi wasn't killing his own people before all this happened, Libya was actually one of the more less-poverty stricken countries in northern Africa as he shared a lot of his wealth among the society. Cameron and Obama would do the exact same thing if an uprising occurred here which is kind of funny&ironic

  • @pigeonpsycho you are confused because you are just a business man, talking about war and fighting with a warrior, you will never understand and you will never know. so stay confused, and yes, i do know you, i didnt even have to know your a pencil pushing pussy, i called it before you even had a chance to admit it, thats because im the real deal, your a fucking pussy. stick to what you know, keep your comments to yourself. go back to the office, leave this work to the real men.

  • @MrUFMA i doubt you've even been out of your country.... lying on the internet about being in the military is called being a WALT. You should go talk to some real Legionnaires over at cervens.net, they'll fill you in on what it's like. kthxbai

  • @pigeonpsycho Need any employees? I work in IT and can't find a fucking job here in the states.

  • @12Oc7ock Move to the UK, i only employ hard working people, no niggers, pakis, jews etc.

  • @pigeonpsycho ya.... hate to break it to you but military people are not stupid. Kissenger wouldn't have know the first thing about Organizing a assault Assault Force and breaking down how much food etc etc etc they need plus knowing how their Moral is.so many things.

"I run my own IT company" then wtf are you watching FFL vids let alone talking about the military?

ever heard of a guy called General.Washington...know why he was a great leader of a USA.. cause he knew how to lead!

  • @Dogmeat1950 You've missed the whole point I was making... which says a lot about you. The point was Kissenger is a member of the Elite that run this world, that use the military to make money and gain land, and this is what he thinks of them. And i can talk about whatever I want, you might be fascist but we aren't there just yet. Washington was also a Free Mason, he had help outside of the U.S too.

  • @pigeonpsycho you can talk about what ever you want because Soldiers gave you that freedom.

and get off free mason BS too. stupid conspiracy nut

  • @Dogmeat1950 Free Mason's are not a conspiracy, just sayin'. You lack intelligence.

  • @pigeonpsycho no your a dummy. last free masons I saw had a both at a fair trying to raise money for a kids Hospital. those old men look so evil and scary,

hell I bet you think there is Templars, running around. and the USA never went to the moon .

  • @Dogmeat1950 It's you're*, and you're also making no sense and looking like an ass.

  • @pigeonpsycho Ya spelling mistake, it's the end of the world! coming from the guy who reads conspiracy bullshit.

  • @Dogmeat1950 Why aren't you in the Marines fighting in Afghan and losing your legs so Kissenger and his friends can make some money?

  • @pigeonpsycho Because I'm in College, after that. then I'm joining the Military, as my family has done for over 220 years..

why aren't you in the Military or joining? thinking of your fat self? ,being greedy. crap like that?being a typical Civilian and forgetting who gives you your freedom. you call out Washington who did a lot more for the USA then you ever will.

I'm sorry what money does Kissenger make off Afghanistan?the guy is 89 years old and makes money writing books.

  • @Dogmeat1950 If you don't know how people make money from war, you should just join right away, they rely on total ignorance. Go on son! fight for freedom! lose those legs and arms for freedom! You've bought the propaganda hook line and sinker

  • @pigeonpsycho lol says the guy using the Internet, a product of "war" who has a Cellphone another product of war. who gets lost and uses GPS to find his way around. who travels on a jet airliner a Product of war.

90% of Invention come from war dummy. Even bread and Butter was a Product of war, I doubt you know which war too :)

So you watch this FFL vid to troll it lol? to troll something you will never be or try to do.

  • @Dogmeat1950 Don't get confused with the defense industry and actual war, just sayin'. if you like war so much go fight it, they don't like posh college boys like you though. I doubt you're even going to join, just an armchair general with very confused view of war.

  • @pigeonpsycho "posh College boys" several people from top Colleges have joined the Military. wtf are you talking about?

    stop being a troll

  • @Dogmeat1950 I'm just sayin', you would be eaten alive if you tried to join inf

  • @pigeonpsycho I am joining Infantry, it's nice to know a guy who has never served in the military,is trying to give advice on the military lol.

    I'm sorry loser,

I think I'll take the Advice of my father who has 33 years of Service, 4 Combat tours and former Naval Special Operations.

Every time you comment, you show everyone how fucking stupid you are.

  • @Dogmeat1950 You sound like a real spoilt brat, like i said, if you join the la légion don't go mouthing off you're a posh college boy.

  • @pigeonpsycho hey, "Mr.no military "Experience" you should be the last to talk. I have already been in a Cadet program and grew up on military bases. I know the life, I know what to expect. U.S Marines or Legion. it's all the same principle honor,Disciple and Duty.

As I said keep commenting, your only trolling your never going to joy any military branch so I don't even know why your looking at these vids.

  • @Dogmeat1950 You have a lot to prove to a random stranger on the internet., it's kind of pathetic as I don't care about your made up life bullshit story. You have no military experience, you're a posh college boy, you're also very uninformed about what the military is used for today, that's all you've said so far. So unless you actually have something useful to add, kindly fuck off you nigger.

  • @pigeonpsycho go figure, your a racist too.

I don't have to prove jack shit to a troll,

"So unless you actually have something useful to add"

look who's fucking talking a guy who doesn't even want to join a military and he's watching Legion vids on youtube lol. and then thinks he can offer advice to someone going into the Military, lol

your amazing lol. but ya I'll stop talking to a waste of time.

  • @Dogmeat1950 You've been moaning on and on about your bullshit made up life story, you've already been trying to prove your bs story, I DO NOT CARE so stop moaning about it just go do it. If you cannot handle the word NIGGER then DO NOT join the military. What a baby.

  • @pigeonpsycho go play your Computer games. seems like your good at uploading crappy games too.

  • @pigeonpsycho or hell join the British Military. then again that's slowly falling apart because of the idiots in that Government neglecting the Military, and its going to bite them in the ass like it did pre ww2 and Falklands.

  • Comment removed

  • @rjholling probably cause these guys are special ops dumbass.

  • @DevinChief the legion is a «regular» elite infantry unit wich also has special ops inside of it specially in the rep2

  • @rjholling USMC also have a very amazing history. and real fighting spirit FFL is very amazing

  • goosebumps, time to brush up on the french

  • Don't be a hater !

  • remember this saying.

"im not suprised that the french didnt want to help the Unied states search for Suddam. i mean the French didnt even want to help the US get the germnas out of France"

yeah, without the US france would be German. and in indo-china the us Tax payers paid for 60% of the war and the French lost. and that was land that belonged to the french, always did NOT!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • only france would come up with the idea to let others do the fighting for them.

smart idea since all frenchmen are pussies. the only real military mean belong to other countries like the USA, UK, and Germany. oh russia too.

surrender like you always do. you frogbreath, wart covered snail eaters

  • je vien de voir ke en fin de compte nos allier américain fon pas mal de reportages sur nos soldats c cool preuve de l'inportance de leurs travail , la france et fier de vous PS: chirac a bien fait de faire la Professionnalisations de nos armée

  • Impressive stuff!

  • Fuck yeah good to see an auzzie.

  • By the way its not true that only 1/3 is French.

    60 % is French

  • @wachaufeuropa and im sorry to bust your bubble but there is only 23% frence in the legion thats FACT!

  • @wachaufeuropa

    Bullshit

Many troopers are french speaking ! that's all

for sure most officers come from the french army

most NCO's come from the legion itself

  • hi i m really surprised to see so much positives comments from foreigns ,about french legion , cuz i know the world hate France.

So there is some ppl who like us all over the world ? or just the french legion ?

  • Comment removed

  • How do you become an officer?

after your five years can you like go to a officer school and become a pilot? i wanna know because i plan in joining.

  • @MobiusInfinity117 there are no pilots in Legion Entrangere...

  • Best military unit in the world. Greatest respect for them! I'm 44, so too old to take on the adventure now, but I did serve in the British army for 12 years, so can relate to the legionaires to some respect! I truly now wish I had tried it when I left the British army, but one cannot turn back the clock! I have begun to get really interested in the subject of the Legion lately and the more I read the more envious of those that do take to plunge. They have my utter respect!

  • and how much money you get when got retired/month ?! money ain't the motivation but is a good thing to

  • @actionwarrior1 im going over next month left the forces in 2001, my wife left me and my son, so im doing it leaving all my debts, clothes belongings, may be a mental break down but cant wait

  • I was in the Legion in the eighties, they teach you French as part of basic training. They also give you a French buddy who mimes or speaks Englis etc. so that you can get a grip on what is going on. All training you have done before is useless and will be done again the French way. It is good to have the experience but French shutes, C160s etc. are a different kettle of fish.

La Legion et dur, mais la gamelle c'est sur.

  • ey how deprived of pussy is a legionaire?... u cant get any pussy for the whole 5 years your in?...is their down time?... do u get any time after work to get some pussy in the town your in?...(please reply back)

  • @bloakey how do you join im 18 and have been thinking of joining

  • @jerkcheekz213

oh, you must not want to fight just surrender.

  • @4everUSNavy open an history book, and search :

    -Lafayette

    -Hundred Years' War

-Charles Martel (The Battle of Tours, October 10, 732)

    -Napoleon

    -Charlemagne

    -and more...

    Now look at this :

"The Normans invaded England in 1066, the French language has had a tremendous impact on the English language. The French of that time has impacted English vocabulary with French words making up something like 40 percent of English words."

So...You certainly have french ancestors. (if you'r white)

  • @ValandilHohenheim

Napoleon is the biggest pussy ass commander ever. espacialy when compaired to george washington, Paton, McArthur, Nimitz, Bull Hulsey, The dessert fox(germany), general Lee, ect. so as you can tell i have opened quit a few history books.

and incase you didnt notice. frace has changed alot in 500yrs. it went from powerfull to Gayass pussies that surrender the kruats in 3 weeks. God god Poland was btter than you.

  • @ValandilHohenheim OWNED OWNED OWNED OWNED

  • Comment removed

  • @4everUSNavy But I know you prefer to remain ignorant for the rest of your life, so I suggest you to read this: "There have been 53 major wars in Europe

France had been a belligerent in 49 of them; UK 43.

In 185 battles that France had fought over the past 800 years, their armies had won 132 times, lost 43 times and drawn only 10.

Giving the French military the best record of any country in Europe".

    BBC History

  • @ValandilHohenheim

43 losses is seen as horrible n the eyes of americans. you see, you guys have lost alot of wars and europe would be speaking german if it wasnt for the actions of the USSR and USA. but the french are to ungreatful. saying america gets to involved in wars. when it was that same attitude that helped your ass.

you have lost alot of wars. but you always poke fun at Us becuase we lost vietnam. our only lose in The history of this country.

  • @4everUSNavy

talk for your own country, US history only goes +-500 years back.

I don't think anyone wants to make fun of the US because of vietnam,

because it wasn't funny. and thanks for the marshall plan and WOII

But the legion is still tougher than any US unit.

  • @gusjeazer

tell that to the US navy Seals. they have never left a man behind, never let another seal fall in enemy hands, and have never surrendered. the legion is nothing like that.

for the past 150yrs your people have been lazy, ungreatfull, and weak. the only reason you dont pick on vietnam is because its a war YOU also lost. even after we paid for 60% of it.

  • @4everUSNavy

I'm not exactly french and maybe youre right about france,

    I couldn't care less...

but not about the legion. you are underistimating the legion.

  • Comment removed

  • @gusjeazer

besides the navy seals are special forces, the legion, are the best elite forces in the world followed by sas

  • @gusjeazer

no, the legion is way to Over-rated. its kinda of hard to take weak frenchmen as fighters.

the strongest frenchmen is still weaker than the weakest American

  • @4everUSNavy

ok, why do you think this is called the foreign legion?

because most of them aren't french,

you still want anyone to take you serious?

    you probably have french ancestors...

I won't try to get you to your sences anymore,

I just hope not all americans are as stupid as you are...

  • @gusjeazer

    I dont have french ancestors...

    Im, Irish/English. Not french.

im not stupid, i just dont give a shit about gay frenchmen. Becuase they have a history of Loosing. What they do is seen as WEAK in the eyes of Americans.

becuase they are Weak when compared to the Americans.

  • @4everUSNavy fighting over internet, cannot think of anything more useless

  • @rammstein67350

well if you dont like fighting over the internet then why do you try to stop it. you only just got involve in the argument. You didnt solve anything so that comment was more useless

  • @4everUSNavy ...

americans are ignorant, selfish and really overestimated...

The only history of Americans winning a war was in ww2..and don't forget you had some help from the dear brittish...

There's no American army that is toucher in training than the FFL.

    Legio Patria Nostra.

  • @alseenpotvis

you call us Ignorant.. thats good man.

you Forgot how we won the revolution, War of 1812, Mexican american war, the civil war, Spainish american war, WW2, the Karean war, Panama, Lebenon, Persian Gulf, and currently working of iraq and afghanistan.

you knwo who is trained better than the FFL.

Us navy Seals, Marine recon, Us army Special forces, delta force, Army Rangers, Air force para-rescue, Navy EOD, ect.

  • @4everUSNavy ...WHY DO YOU AMERICANS ALWAYS CLAIM THE FULL TITLE FOR EVERYTHING?!?!

-ALL of the wars you called were either won with help of other nations, or were wars on your soil and weren't even a big deal. And the civil war was never ended because white and blacks still avoid each other in the U.S.

-ALL of the U.S units use excessive SHOUTING and FORCE recruits. This will discourage the recruit and deliver the drill instructor a sore throat.

-The U.S military ALWAYS has most casuaties

  • @alseenpotvis

oh so the Civil war wasnt a big deal. Though it ended slavery.

WW2 wasnt a Big deal. though it freed you from the Germans.

Korea want a big deal. though we stopped the communist from spreading into south Korea.

Panama wasnt a big deal. Yet we brought home a lot of American Civilians who were in the country

persian gulf wasnt a Big deal. Though it forced iraq out of kuwait.

to me it seems that if the US went away. then the world would fall apart.

  • @alseenpotvis WE HAVE THE MOST CASUATIES BECAUSE WE DO ALL THE FIGHTING!!!

  • @multiredleg (Most of the fighting bro, we do MOST of the fighting) ;P

  • @alseenpotvis US Army Special Forces would crush the FFL. Honestly, you guys came into the revolution LATE, and quit. And you lost to Germany IN 2 WEEKS! France is a joke.

  • @iPhenom3G Lmao even your US Marines couldn't finish the FFL training in Djibouti a few years ago.

  • @VRIESSS haha and on top of that when they came to French Guiana to the jungle training a parkour that takes the FFL 45 mins took them 7 hours. fags !

  • @iPhenom3G FFL arent special forces but they are as good as. Apparently as good as the Royal Marines and British Paratroopers. I'm considering joining the FFL or the British Army Parachute Regiment.

  • @iPhenom3G You make a mistake. FFL arent special forces. We have also special forces (but it's not the same kind of missions). And don't insult my country please because you forget that you are american and not english thanks to the french army. So learn about your history and shut the fuck up !!!

  • @iPhenom3G

You are talking like a dumbhead, believe me, US Marines and Ranger or even Green Beret wont survive the thing called La Chaire Annamien.

  • @TQLCVNCH So what is LaChaire Annamien?

  • @4everUSNavy Dude I am 88 kilo on 193 cm, I kick your but, I run 100 meters in 10.4seconds. I ran 22km in 1H40 minutes. I am muay thai fighter and i benchpress 200 pounds (3x12) My ass is sold if you can beat me in any kind of athletism. Besides runnig your mouth...and oh HELL YEAH I AM FRENCH

  • @lorrenzopicozzi i think you took a little to much drugs there buddy. cuz running ur mouth seems like its all u got too

  • @4everUSNavy Dude you are so narrow minded.. i guess you have a small dick too. US navy seals are fucking jew puppets. owned by jews lobbies in usa. You are nothing. FFL is fighting wars with no financial benefits for french, It's called noble. What you american seals are doing is trying to enrich the jews that run usa. And you dont get paid as much as A FFL does. So please shut the fuck up man.

  • @lorrenzopicozzi

wow. anti-semetism. wow im so scared of a french loving nazi. didnt we kick your ass out of paris in WW2

  • @lorrenzopicozzi ur a crazy little fuck arent you?

  • @bloakey Bon jour Legionair. I have a question about the Legion. Are legionairs similar to the US Rangers ? Do legionairs have to kill an animal in training as a test ?

  • @TIGITOE

    /facepalm

  • @bloakey Can you get by then with no french language skills? was thinking of heading over after xmas. I can count to 10 in french thats about it.

  • absolutely

  • @skeasessj If I say that you have to learn a minimum of 500 words, this is not for the pleasure of telling craps lol.

When you join any division of the french army, you have to pass many steps if you want to keep your job, this vocab is a part of it in the ffl.

  • I would guess that you would have to go through the whole sysem again, they would'nt just let you walk in...cos you did it in another army.

  • hi i have just got out of the british army and wish to join the legion. i have done my para course and jumps will i have to do it all over again

  • Is learning the French difficult?

I know very basic French from high school...but I'm not that competent. Also, does everyone have to parachute?

  • Like any language, if all you hear is French day in day out and people are teaching you, you will pick it up very quickly. People only really parachute in the 2REP (Parachute Regiment)

  • Oh thanks, but can you chose NOT to be in a para regiment?

And will I be at a disadvantage if I join knowing very little French? I hope to join, I really do.

  • They will assume that everybody knows no French at all. French classes are a part of training, though they will still speak French to you, but they know you won't understand (Unless it's something important, then they'll talk in English) They also use a buddy system, you'll be teamed up with someone who speaks French and English, they're there to help you.

  • You have to be selected to be in the Paras, they're the rapid reaction force and most people will be wanting to get in. Not wanting to join them, won't be a problem. The Legion have Engineers (REG) Infantry (REI) and Cavalry (REC). I'd advise you to take a walk and know that you will be making a massive decision. If you want to go; go running, do push-ups and sit-ups every day and just do it.

  • I hope that helped.

  • You probably need to know over 500 words for beginning in the foreign legion.

  • Wonder why the US does not commission a foreign legion? Would solve a lot of our manpower shortages.
