  • It actually started around 1am but was not as frequent until later in the night. In all it lasted for 12-13 hours. It seems most people were not aware of it till around 4am though but believe me, it was going for a few hours before that. I kept think of the films The Day Afater Tomorrow and 2012. I thought it was actually going to happen lol.

  • did yous see it on Sunday morning around 4 or 5 in the morning it was mental

  • Was this filmed at about half eleven sunday morning ? I seen a fork of lightning hit the wind turbine from my house in douglas at around that time

  • Got some of the thundersnow in aberdeen last night also pretty cool

  • what time did you capture that? i live near menzieshill and it was going since about 4 to 11 am :S :D

  • Cheers, managed to get it shown on STV News

  • Great shot! I got a similar shot the other night here in Ireland. I managed to sell it to a TV station. Yours is much clearer than mine, why not give it a try... They took the clip straight off YouTube.

  • @DaithiDublin I'm from Dundee but I live in Lusk, Nth Dublin. So I saw the lightning here without the thunder and was amazed when the only other place to experience it was my hometown. Spooky!
