  • Thats accually ManBearPig giving that man a blowjob!!!

  • Was this supposed to be scary or funny? I find it to be both!

  • Is a furry party really that scary?

  • Looks like the guy from the Wicker Man decided to stop by

  • The Russians,

  • this scene seriously kept me awake for several nights.

idky it was just scary as hell.

  • What a hideous duck!

  • Keep pressing 6

  • REDRUM...

  • I'm pretty sure Frank from Donnie Darko is based off of this.

  • LOL. Never saw this scene. scary and funny at the same time.

    FREAAAAKKKKKKS.

  • 0:27- Hey! Mind your own business!

  • hope it didnt bear a grudge.

  • Man bear pig!

  • accoding to the novel , there was a scene between a guy in a dog costume and a guest in the ballroom. This scene might be reference to the two of them .Notice the guy lying on the bed was in a tux. They were probably two gay guys. Notice the bare ass on the back of the costume. I'm sure the dog was taking it in the ass

  • I'm pretty sure that's a dog suit, not bear.

  • wow

  • Pedobear

  • "D'you mind?"

  • OH MY GOD IT'S A TEDDY BEAR GIVING A BLOWJOB! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!XD

  • pedobear lol

  • Thats right folks, its an assless bear suit.

  • Those guys are from the book. the man in the tux is Horace Derwent and the bearis Roger. In the book, Roger is after Horace but Horace will only agrees to be with Roger if he shows up to the dance wearing that suit. It's not a bear , though

  • The distorted crowd-voices in the background have to be one of the best choices for ambient horror music I've heard.

  • Blowjob

  • Comment removed

  • OMG Filmographic evidence that Furry Fandom existed long before a single convention was arranged! XD

  • MANBEARPIG!

  • the bear was sucking his dick wtf?!

  • If you read the book, you would understand that it is actually a dog costume. The book also explains who they are. The dogman is DC and the other guy is ACDC.

ACDC meant bisexual back in the 70's.

  • What the fuck?! I'm Shelley Duvall!

  • can someone tell me what the bear is all about? i still havn't figured it out!

  • @kymeri1 It's in the book. The guy in the suit's name is Roger. The guy in the tuxedo is named Horace Derwent and they... umm... "like" eachother. Derwent told Roger that "if he came to the masked ball as a doggy, a cute little doggy, he might reconsider..." (Something a little inappropriate!) Oh, it's suppose to be a dog suit, not a bear. Read the book for a better explanation. ;)

  • Wendy looks more scary with the knife in her hand than this strange couple.

  • what does it mean!?!?!?

  • i thought it was a pig!!! it's a bear really???

    so scary...

  • @ooEDALoo It's actually a dog. (It says in the book)

  • this dog or bear character is in the novel.

  • Very creepy.. furry blowing the guy..

  • what is the goddamn song i can't find it anywhere

  • @LittleLadhops Song?

  • Hehe a random thing popped into my head as I watched this clip, and that was: "I hear their periods attract bears...The bears can smell the menstration!" =O

  • Hello, I'm shelley Duvall.

  • The "bear scene" in The Shining occurs as Wendy is running through the hotel after assisting Danny to escape from the bathroom window. As she ascends a stairwell, she comes to an open door and she looks in, where she sees two shapes on a bed. As if sensing her, the shapes stop what they are doing and turn to look at her, revealing themselves to be two men. One is wearing a bear suit with the buttocks removed; the other is in a tuxedo, and from the position they were in when Wendy first saw them

  • That bitch, is one ugly one

  • OH MY GOSH THIS IS THE WORST PART AHHhhhHHHG FML

  • That gentleman, who bear blows, is actually George Bush Senior.

  • @Quex01 Kind of looks like Mitt Romney to me.

  • A little hint then, why not. The bear is kubrick. The bear is always kubrick!

  • In the book, the guy getting the BJ is the former owner of the hotel who is bisexual. He pays a guy to dress in a dog/bear suit and "please him" in the hotel. Even though this exact seen isn't in the book, it is a direct reference to the backstory in the book.

  • wtf i dont even get that part LOL

  • pedobear scene

  • Poor boys... Close the fucking door, that way they wont see you! Silly!

  • @steak98 My thoughts exactly!

  • @steak98 LMAO

  • I guess the furry convention was in town..

  • Pedophiles are apparently known as Bears in the Sex World. I just found this out and have been finding alot of bears in Kubricks work. Arthur C Clarke was apparently well knbow for his sickness as a pedophile too. He was also a very close friend to Kubric.

  • @222Miller I believe a 'Bear' is also what gay men use to refer to burly, masculine men; gay icons but particularly masculine.

  • For some reason, I find this scene very disturbing. I have a fear for simple things like this. O.o

  • @queenofsingin99 I am the exact same. My worst nightmares are about every day objects. For a long time as a child I had a reoccurring nightmare about the curtains in a particular room of my house. The curtain on the right was the happy curtain, but the one of the left had something terribly, horrifically wrong about it. In the waking world, I would feel the same; that there was something about this curtain or this particular area of the room that was just absolute evil.

  • @th3deadpo3t It's so strange. A few times, I've had this dream about a train, or something going really fast and I was just watching it casually, but I'd be panicking on the inside and when I woke up.

  • I always think of Podtoid.

  • It's pretty simple, the christian culture puts homosexuality as something evil or completely decadent, and maybe Kubrick is trying to show the kind of degeneration that this place has had by always, and by that means is a proper place for paranormal activity. (Trying to understand Kubrick intention for this scene)

  • Hm. I just realized that the hallway around 0:40 reminds me of Resident Evil.

  • Web soup.

  • The Overlook Hotel Must have hosted Anthro-Con that year.

  • oh and kubrick is notorious for homeopathic imagery.....

  • jack became part of the hotel is why he is in it at the end, to show how the hotel "claimed" its victims in the photograph..

  • this scene was soo irrelevant to the movie

like wtf me and my friends were all watching it hoping to b scared by sumthin

nd den we this slut of dog pop

    we all died of laughter

  • @ScorpioGam3r17 Im terrified by your grammar and spelling. They should put that in a horror movie.

  • Cuddle or yiff? XD

  • i use to be scared of this scien when i was a kid

  • now i want to read the book XD

  • It's a DOG SUIT

  • Can someone explain y jack was in the picture at the end

  • Gayssss ahhhhhh

  • 0:33 "Yeah...ok...that's just...I'll just be going now."

  • :25 to :32 should be an animated gif on 4chan

  • Fucking furrys

  • imagine seein some shit like that...

  • Don't quite understand this scene... Could someone explain it?

  • @MegaAwsumEpikStudios read the top comment. It's only explained in the book

  • Furrie fetish surely.

The bear was blowing the guy, and his ass was all out at the back for easy access to some ass pounding action.

Kubrick likes to push the boundaries.

  • @FluffyFooFookins blow? From the teeth on that head of the costume surely a castration would be happening!

  • The bear always reminds me oF Space Balls

  • this scene, along with many others creeps me out soo much! but i've always wondered what they were doing...never was able to figure it out..

  • @MsCoolmonkey123 read the top comment. It's only explained in the book

  • @MsCoolmonkey123 guy in dog suit was obvi sucking dick

  • @LovetheLatinos331 oh okay i see it now. that's what i thought but i never understood it because it looks like the guy on the bed doesnt have legs or he is lying on his stomach. but now i see his feet.

  • @MsCoolmonkey123 You're joking right?

  • @MsCoolmonkey123 Appears to be fellatio,I've always thought. But it's "The Shining" so who knows?

  • @MsCoolmonkey123

Well ummm the bear was going "down" on the man very creepy and odd scene

  • @MsCoolmonkey123 I think it was a blowjob.

  • @MsCoolmonkey123 This scene shows Johnny and her son; as seen in the film, he is not the greatest father

  • Could you upload that very short part "great party, isn't it?" ? I think it's the only part of the movie which isn't posted on youtube and i think it's one of the best. :/

  • 0:23

when I first saw this scene I thought that bear/dog thing was sucking his dick

  • @deathjudge2006 that was what i thought to

  • God i fucking love this movie

    RIP Stanley Kurbrick

I seriously urge everyone reading this to smoke a fat jay right before you watch this movie

    ;)

  • @TikiKid Stanley Kubrick*** How dare i misspell such a genuine mans name hahahaa

  • why is thi considered creepy? I loled :/

  • Wilfred's cousin.

  • Thats a bear, Fozzy Bear! wakawakawaka

  • There is so many subliminal messages in this movie. Such as the house is supposed to be America "The lose has to keep America clean." With that said there are many bears that can be seen throughout the movie. They could very well be a symbol for the Russians so this scene can show that during the cold war the Russians were in bed with the US. Also the owner of the hotel in the beginning is supposed to be JFK. He has the same hairstyle and a USA flag next to his desk and he is wearing r,w,& blue

  • total mindfuck!!!!!

  • this is one helluva creepy scene, especially when you are watching the film and already in to it.

  • creepiest scene ever

  • It took me YEARS after catching this movie on TV to realise that the bear suit guy's ass was all out! LOL LOL

  • @jrmetmoi OMG I didn't notice until reading your comment. Yup his butt is out. This scene is soo creepy and random

  • when i saw this scene i thought: what the fuck?

  • This scene fucking traumatized me as a kid. Seeing the bear scared me enough, that quick zoom... holy shit, total nightmare fuel. Still gives me the willies.

  • Out of all the scenes in the movie, this one scared me the most. The timing and the sheer randomness of it were absolutely terrifying.

  • @SuperCocofish Agreed. She's just randomly jogging around, and then out of no where you see people in the Hotel, when you know, you're absolutely 100% alone. Then the actions they're doing in the room was just as messed up.

  • was the bear giving him...... no...... what?

  • I was 6 when I saw this scene.... I'm traumatized for life!

  • 10 people got murdered.

  • @steveclips 231 people masturbated to this

  • Cock Block..

  • in the book, jack was at a costume party in the overlook, and he saw the man in a dog costume, and a woman told jack something like, "the man in the dog costume is roger, and he used to have sex with horace derwent, who owns the overlook, and roger kept begging for more sex from horace, and eventually horace told roger that horace may consider having sex with roger if roger entertains the guests by dressing up as a dog at the party. horace is ac/dc. poor roger is just dc."

  • i 1st saw this scene when i was at a theatre in 1980 or 1981 when i was 12 or 13. back then i certainly couldn't pause or rewind the film to examine it more closely. i still remember how i felt when i 1st saw it. i thought the dog-looking thing was a hybrid, something that was part human and part lion or something like that, or something that was intermediate between human and animal. i assumed the actor was a human in a costume, but i didn't realize the character was a human in costume.

  • @ItsEViLDeDdotCOM yep, and the book has a scene where danny encounters the dog-suited man in a hallway, and the man was on all 4 legs, and the man made doggish noises, and the man also spoke in english, and the man threatened to eat danny, and the man said something like, "i'll huff and i'll puff and i'll blow derwent down."

  • ..where they just?......nevermind...

  • That bears mask scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. Now that i'm an adult, it's not so bad.

  • I never understood this scene, I thought it was just kubrick being his ol' crazy eccentric self, Like he thought to him self "hey u know what be really fucked up?"

LoL ........Turns out its no that random after all; you gotta read the book, it makes the movie that much better!

  • looks like the dog from spaceballs doing a waiter from the the 30's

  • @12yellowcab yea. i think the character in spaceballs said something like, "i'm barf. i'm a mog. half man and half dog. i'm my own best friend."

  • Shelly Duvall is the most horrifying part about the movie.

  • Well thank you for clearing that up because this whole time I thought that fozie bear was just giving head to some guy.

  • Poor boys.. If you dont want no one to walk in on you.. DONT leave the door open.... Fucking idiots....

  • Shelley looks equally as menacing as those ghosts. I used to fear her image when she was walking up the stairs with the knife.

  • The Russian Bear!!!!

  • @ItsEViLDeDdotCOM ya srry i read them :)

  • @ItsEViLDeDdotCOM thank u very much , have u read the book?

  • what was the point of this scene

  • Nic Cage from the Wicker Man remake

  • 1) A dog playing fetch the stick with his master.

    2) "A little peanut butter on my balls and.. fuck, who's that?"

    3) Uncredited Stephen King cameo.

    You choose.

  • 1) A dog playing fetch the stick with his master.

    2) "A little peanut butter on my balls and... fuck, who's that?"

    3) Uncredited Stephen King cameo.

  • mmmmm, i love teddy grahms!

  • For all that are saying they don't get it, you have to read the book for this scene to make sense, because it has the context needed. The hotel was built in the 20's and these two are ghosts of people who were at the party back in the 20's when the hotel opened....

  • @asmodeusix Sorry man, brain fart. If I thought about it before I open my big mouth I would have realized that. I've watched this like 10 times so my apologies for that...

  • @asmodeusix This was the 80s....

  • i didn;t get this scene, can some-one please explain?

  • the fangs on that bear are what scare me!

  • Hey, it's Pedobear. What's he doing here?

  • blow job bear

  • @Struckworld Yep. Pretty much. LOL

  • No Pets Allowed! ESPECIALLY that damn bear.

  • I seriously think kubrick put this scene in to troll everyone.

  • @Nagneto

The book goes into more detail about some of the characters in the hotels history. These two were "celebrating" after a Halloween party.

  • I want that fuckin bear suit soo badly!!!!!

  • @steak98 with the ass all out???

  • @jrmetmoi Not with the ass hangin out, I would cover that up!

  • Well this is awkward

  • they were also hosting the furry convention that weekend

  • You see that! Half man, Half bear, Half pig! MANBEARPIG!

  • Can someone explain to me as to why someone in a bear costume is giving a man head?

  • @slty2j Ever heard of a furry?

  • @slty2j Again I say, read the book to get the context of this scene. It's a good book anyway. :)

  • From IMDB: "Crew or equipment visible: SPOILER: Someone can been seen filming the last scene toward the end of the film when Wendy runs out of the hotel and sees the man in the furry costume with the other man wearing a tux performing some kind of sex act. His reflection can be seen on the lamp to the left inside the room itself they're in." ----- Well, I cant see any reflection. Can any of you?

  • Well, acording to a buddy of myn that is not a bear, it is a dog. Not only that but if you read the book this scen make sentce.

  • Bearjob

  • What the fuck, Steven king?! Why would you let Kubrik do this? I never understood this part!

  • ..A clear and blatant reference to the well organized, high powered pedo network of 'bears' who operate in Hollywood and DC. Kubrick-via cryptic allusions and hidden anecdotes-purposely placed bear dolls in many of his movies, often alongside young children, this is quite symbolic as 'bears' (hairy gay men) often prefer young boys. This was not by accident, as Kubrick was trying to expose this evil. Google Jay Weidner for more info. Mr. Kubrick knew the score.

  • can someone please tell me the real reference to the pedobear coming up in the shining

  • So we saw this movie at a Boy Scout camp. We saw the manbearpuppy thing and named him "Fellatio."

  • @acecombatpro fellatio and boy scout camps. just wow.

  • Well it looks like Wendy...

    *Puts sunglasses on*

Couldn't bear to stay and watch.

    YEAAAHHHHHH!!!

  • @A7XShadowzx greatest comment i've ever seen. you deserve a raise. haha. YEAHAHHAH

  • i think that this is the former owner of the hotel, he is a ghost in the hotel along with many others

  • What is being chanted in the background?

  • @tretrioeciii i have never heard anyone mention that any words were in that chant, and thus i think it was just a bunch of wordless noise. that noise happens in numerous parts of the movie.

  • i heard that in the novel that one of the character's were into beasteality and that scene recreated a sex act with an animal...i don't know bout you but when i was a kid that shit freaked me out for years as well as that bathroom scene, i remember going with my parents to visit people's houses and i hated there bathroom if they had that type of bathtub, i always thought that dead bitch would come out!!!

  • B.J. & the Bear

  • Never noticed that Nic Cage was in that movie before
