Oh god it's so much more intense than it seems. It's heart wrenching and life changing just to be in that room with so many people who have gone through the same things you have. This came to my school last year, and it was such a wonderful experience. It was seriously not what I expected at all; it was so much more. It was so eye-opening, and this may sound weird to anyone who hasn't done it, but it was truly magical. I never thought high schoolers could be capable of as much empathy and compassion as I experienced from them (and myself) on Challenge Day.

Thanks this program of America; they also did this in one school our country (Netherlands) in Amsterdam. It opens many eyes and it was very emotional. I'm really happy that this is finally got into the Netherlands. We all hope that much more schools are gonne do the challenge day. Thank you America! ^^
i think that teenagers are made fun of because the person who is making fun of them doesnt know how to enjoy life so they have to make someone else feel like them .. im 14 years old im hispanic and i listen to pink flyode beatles and led zepplin i get As and Bs and sometimes Cs im not that populer but im not unknown either, in truth you and i and everyone else are the same we all have feelings and oponions and nationalities but we should all have fun while we can.. your only a teenager once
Never experienced anything like this in my high school back in the 90s. Although I didn't have many friends or chose to not have many friends. The only friend I ever needed was named Mario and he was always loyal, waiting for me everyday after school to pull him out of the video game cabinet, waiting to be played:) God Bless Super Mario!

If you feel the need to talk, then talk. And if you dont, then dont. But dont fret about it. Dont even think about what you have heard about it going in. Just have an open mind.
challenge day came to my school two years in a row. the second time i was one of the leaders and so honoured that i could help make a change. but the first time, it changed my life. i was suicidal and was bullied. but after the people that bullied me all my life came to me crying and apologizing. it changed my life and i'm still here <3

On April 14th, all the gr.10's from my school are doing this, and I'm in Gr.10 . They haven't told us to much about it, so I don't really know what it's about. Apparently it's supposed to change our whole point of view on other people. What is it about???
In grade nine there is one day in sept. where all the 9's get out for a day and hang with eachother play teambuilding games and learn more about the highschool and its traditions under the guidance of a grade 12 team leader.
We also have the Highschool Challenge at a county fair between the 4 area highschools. Brings alot of school spirit and a lot of fun!
We had Chalenge Day at my middle school in 2006 when I was in 7th grade. This is the best program for bullying ever! It makes you feel closer to everyone, and it forces you to face some demons, and overcome them. It was a real intense process, and I hope we have it at my high school.
even though i cried SO HARD, it changed my life. everything i thought about people is now gone, everyone was equal. the line part was the worst part, i cried so hard.

i remember having challenge day a couple of months ago, to this day i still keep my goal of hugging people more often cuz i never got hugs and i never gave people hugs.
This is a REALLY powerful program. Every student should go throught this program..it really changed how I see the people I didn't even bother to realize, or even talk to, we are not alone in this..there are kids who will listen and help guide you! (I'm one of em') :D
i just had challenge day yesterday! i went in and i was uncomfortable around evryone! then we started doing the line exersize and all you could hear was people crying and whining!some people had to hold on to others to keep them up! :[ it really changed me! at the end of the class i felt like i could go up to anyone a get a hug from them!it was amazing!

Challenge Day seems like an amazing concept, and was shown to be quite capable of making students realize the things they do, and the words they speak...and how they affect others.
The only problem is that they need to go further. They need to allow the students to understand how these things arise from peer group selection and pressure combined with in-group/out-group labeling and attacking.

5 months ago I had challenge day and I commented on this video 5 months ago on the exact day I had it. I'm upset, knowing that many of the students in this school that went to challenge day are rude and arrogant to eachother. I just had the worst day I had all year, and I hardly have any bad days. I'm pissed at people and just want challenge day to impact us again.

why are some people, especially in high school, so nasty and arrogant. Do they really think that bullying and teasing others less stronger then them makes them tougher? Do girls really think they can get attention by simply putting down kids who they think aren't as perfect as them? Bullying doesn't make you any funnier, smarter, stronger, prettier, popular, or even happier. In fact, bullying or being arrogant toward somebody else is actually a sign of weakness and lack of a sense of humor.
Today for me, was challenge day. The best day of my life, it really changed me. I was always nice, but some people judge me before they know me. Really really great day, all the guys and all the girls were crying because we said some really emotional things. I felt so good and loved today. LOVED IT!
i am so thankful I was able to be a apart of this when it came to my school. It was A wake up call to a lot of people. I just felt God touching each and every person in that room, I was truely blessed. I really learned a lot. God Bless!

On April 14th, all the gr.10's from my school are doing this, and I'm in Gr.10 . They haven't told us to much about it, so I don't really know what it's about. Apparently it's supposed to change our whole point of view on other people. What is it about???

our highschool does events similar to this.
In grade nine there is one day in sept. where all the 9's get out for a day and hang with eachother play teambuilding games and learn more about the highschool and its traditions under the guidance of a grade 12 team leader.
We also have the Highschool Challenge at a county fair between the 4 area highschools. Brings alot of school spirit and a lot of fun!

We had Chalenge Day at my middle school in 2006 when I was in 7th grade. This is the best program for bullying ever! It makes you feel closer to everyone, and it forces you to face some demons, and overcome them. It was a real intense process, and I hope we have it at my high school.

even though i cried SO HARD, it changed my life. everything i thought about people is now gone, everyone was equal. the line part was the worst part, i cried so hard.

This is a REALLY powerful program. Every student should go throught this program..it really changed how I see the people I didn't even bother to realize, or even talk to, we are not alone in this..there are kids who will listen and help guide you! (I'm one of em') :D

i just had challenge day yesterday! i went in and i was uncomfortable around evryone! then we started doing the line exersize and all you could hear was people crying and whining!some people had to hold on to others to keep them up! :[ it really changed me! at the end of the class i felt like i could go up to anyone a get a hug from them!it was amazing!

I had one last year, it really fucked up my perspective of my peers, but in the good way! all of my old enemies are my friends now, and thats the best thing in the world by my standards... If your school ever hosts this then go! you won't regret it trust me!

we had callenge day at my school to day and i was crying harder than ever. i got a lot of appologies from people i wanted to die and all of my friends were like " i love you so much im so glad to have such a grteat friend like you!" i even got the courage to tell my ex i was sorry for every thing i did and that even though he was going out with some one else i still loved him very much!

Challenge Day seems like an amazing concept, and was shown to be quite capable of making students realize the things they do, and the words they speak...and how they affect others.
The only problem is that they need to go further. They need to allow the students to understand how these things arise from peer group selection and pressure combined with in-group/out-group labeling and attacking.
Wish I could have had Challenge Day back in the day.

5 months ago I had challenge day and I commented on this video 5 months ago on the exact day I had it. I'm upset, knowing that many of the students in this school that went to challenge day are rude and arrogant to eachother. I just had the worst day I had all year, and I hardly have any bad days. I'm pissed at people and just want challenge day to impact us again.

why are some people, especially in high school, so nasty and arrogant. Do they really think that bullying and teasing others less stronger then them makes them tougher? Do girls really think they can get attention by simply putting down kids who they think aren't as perfect as them? Bullying doesn't make you any funnier, smarter, stronger, prettier, popular, or even happier. In fact, bullying or being arrogant toward somebody else is actually a sign of weakness and lack of a sense of humor.

Today for me, was challenge day. The best day of my life, it really changed me. I was always nice, but some people judge me before they know me. Really really great day, all the guys and all the girls were crying because we said some really emotional things. I felt so good and loved today. LOVED IT!

every time you tease someone, it may hurt him it may not, but chances are hes more likley to tease the next guy, eventualy someone gets hurt but it just keeps going. it wont ever stop completly but be the REAL COOL guy and defend someone.
