Kobalt 227 Piece Socket Set unboxing, and review

Sweet set of tools, man. I have an old 1/2 inch Kobalt ratchet and it is great. Like you said it's just like a Craftsman. The new sets on the other hand are now made in Taiwan. I bought one recently and the sockets are still decent, but the new ratchets seem flimsy and cheap. I prefer my Craftsman tools, but most of the new Craftsmans are made in China. So, if anybody wants a set of tools I recommend buying Craftsman while they still have some of the old U.S. made tools in stock.

I just got the newer version of this set. I had ordered it on black friday and got the set for $92. It took 3 weeks for it to get here but after waiting i noticed someone at lowes messed up and sent me 2 of the sets!!! so basically i got each set for $46 and no way you can beat that

Now the new set is made in china, one downside and the tools dont seem as quality but still vary nice. The box is still a POS though but all in all im cary happy with the two sets

cool thing about kobalt even in you blow up your ratchet or what ever they will replace it because they have a no questions asked warranty i heated up a wrench and took it back to see if they would replace it and they did

People at home depot suck. Only go there last resort because its open a half hour later than lowes here. And the Sears by me closed about 6 months ago. Mosly I go to the local Do It Best Hardware though

That's a nice tool set. I need to get another socket set. I probably have them all but there is no way I can find them. I got my first google check today. like money for nothing. I would make vids for free but it's nice to get something.

That did look similar to the Craftsman set I got for Christmas a few years ago. That plastic box is a joke. Mine didn't last long at all, but I also don't have a shop or garage to keep them in so I always have them in my truck in an old metal toolbox. good deal though!

That's really strange that they skip the 9/16" size on the wrenches.. That is one of the most used wrenches because it goes on the nut for a 3/8" bolt.. Other than that, it looks like a nice set of tools. Thanks for the video.

looks good make shure the tip of sockets that fit over nut aint pointed

i had a set like that and with tip you slipped off nuts,

if its to thick wall cant fit into tight spots.

ive seen lots o junk off latey . my choise is stanley tools,or high grade

and i got a hand that can tell whats good whats not age don't matter
