  • ALL the British shows are GREAT. The US shows are very 1 dimensional. It's all about giving the money. Not about bonding with these people as in the UK series. With the US series, I couldn't feel the heart of the givers. It's about THEIR importance. bragging about 2000$ dollar suites and $5000 dinners. I am a millionaire... so what? Aren't you a human being first? Yup it's great to give away 300,000 $, but did it change THEM?

  • @shanna1950 how do you know it didn't. how do you know they didn't go home and start more charities for the people of katrina, or others in need, you don't know they didin't.

  • @xXxXBleedPurpleXxXx - Indeed I don't. Maybe you do.

  • so these people had no idea that something was up with the camera crew around?

  • Our version the british version does not care about themselves only the people they are giving the money too...This is just an advertisment for themselves..Pathetic.

  • Good show

  • i really dont like how they alsways dress up as they are "rich" again. as if "poor" people couldn't be well groomed, shave on a daily basis, wear a suit or heels or make-up!

  • @amyyyamy i totally agree with you!

  • ...how the hell can they putting on all their fancy clothes and jewelry and go back and face the ppl??!?!?...how arrogant!!

  • It was all great until she put on her $100,000 diamond, which is worth more than what they donated.... way too flashy, they should have never done that. You don't have to dress up to donate money - that's intimidating, have a heart - Any millionaire can give away a check without intimidation. They were too boastful in the beginning as well. This show is about helping others.

  • dhdus

  • u dont know what poor is until u do a show in latin america...u cry bububu...any of those people live 10 times better then most mexicans.

  • Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity. My family is in desperate need because of illness, both my daughter and her 2 year old son have been very ill and I am disabled and limited in what I can do to help. Watching these videos helped me feel soo much better and gave me hope for a better tomorrow.

  • on the British show they gave money to all the people they met where they could make a difference,

  • americans stealing british ideas as usual.......this video showed jack shit, watch the british version.......million times better

  • This is such a poorly edited video. It should show these guys visiting the helpers a few times, getting to know them. There's not an ounce of personality in this. It's pure media hype, although I'm sure their money is useful to the communities and fair play to them. Shite television made for the gullible me thinks.

  • some people are just lucky and some people are just unlucky, its just the way the world is but it will change when the lord comes very soon. Read REVELATION 21:4

  • your god - that you can't prove at all - supposedly created this mess, so gtfo and stfu - spare us the phony superstitious boloney ffs.

  • whatever good deeds and money someone does and gives away, he/she will be rewarded from God here and in the after. So people, keep doing good, the world needs it specially at times like these. Whatever good or bad you do, it will all comes back to you.

  • Fact is they are giving time and money! I think the point is to set an example for others and live the life of someone impoverished before blindly cutting a check. Both the U.K ad U.S shows are great, charged with real emotion and shows a little of what humanity is capable of (both rich and poor). Please, take the main lessons home guys in the spirit with which it was given.

  • The real heros are millionaires who do it without publicity, only because they can imagine themselves in other peoples shoes, which most of the people in these episodes can't seem to do.

  • That's EXACTLY what I was thinking the whole time watching these shows. SO TRUE! People who do it silently, without that "look at me, look how generous I am" attitude, are the biggest heroes.

  • Must be the year we were born in lol. We just rule :-)

  • She says she is sick of all the devestation and ready for a break from it and then cries - she is just sorry for herself! As if that car ain't a dead giveaway. Good on them for giving the money away, BUT don't forget his food chain got free advertising to the whole world, worth millions - these savvy business people would not have overlooked that.

  • This show seems like a lot of it is pre planned or something...Like in the beginning they say "they will have to leave all of their possessions behind"....And they have their jewelery and fancy clothing the the they reveal their identities.

  • "I'm really glad they created this show. It opens up peoples eyes to some of the poorest communities in the U.S."...Secret millionaire is originally a british show. The british version is a bit more realistic than this version.

  • @mooneepondskid yeah.. I can't believe what I saw, I thought that was in some poorest places in China or SE Asia! I also liked the British one better, at least we don't keep hearing the millionaires complaining.....

  • I'm really glad they created this show. It opens up peoples eyes to some of the poorest communities in the U.S. to see how hard life is for these people. I hope it stays on the air for at least 5 years and they give us update episodes at the end of the season. I'm inspired to go work for a non-profit organization.

  • What about part 5???
