God, people like to bitch, don't they? Fuck the past ya jackasses, I live in the fucking present. I welcome this album, and if you don't, then who fucking needs you
Sounds very Green Day-ish. I like it, feels like a new chapter in the NFG story with a real nod to their roots :) bye emo-bullshit of 'Coming Home' (and its aftermath in Not Without)
@TheRenoReviews what haha coming home was trash (but is still a good jam) but how can you say not without a fight was an emo aftermath of that CD haha? NWAF was a perfect NFG record. It was them. It was like self titled, catalyst, and sticks and stones put together! The best yet! This song is green day haha wth.
I've listened to the entire Dookie album, and let me just say that that opening riff sounds like it could have appeared on Dookie. This is some good shit right here; hope it stacks up well with their last album, which, in my opinion, was their best since Sticks and Stones.
@mfnstudioschannel no one said you couldn't kid geez. oh and way to ban me from you page so we can't continue our discussion like adults. you personally attacked me and then i made a joke (at my own expense) and stated my opinion went to your page listened to what you said and gave you my opinion and made a joke (at your expense sorry if you got butthurt) and if i really gave a flying fuck what "true" nfg fans thought i wouldn't be in this discussion now would i? now its done. kids these days..
@mfnstudioschannel you know who else sucks MY MOM! but in all seriousness fan boys/girls need to calm down this song is the worst song in their whole catalog....bet your some kid who hopped on the bandwagon like years later. grow up and get over it. its a shitty song everyone is allowed an opinion even if its negative. fuckin savages i swear.
@drworm420 If you are allowed to speak your mind, so am I! What gives you the right and not me? And I hopped on the wagon in 1999. God, I'm sure all the NFG fans are ashamed of you right now. End of discussion....
the problem is with most bands they forget who they are and listen to their fans hoping to get what they lost. nfg peaked at catalyst musically, its not a problem cuz they are still really awesome live. but lets be honest here you guys. this song.....fuckin sucks.
@drworm420 My opinion is that their last CD was one of the best. Catalyst was good, but something about its vibe, I just couldnt grasp. It had a weird eerie vibe to it. But yeah thi song is just mediocre. Its like a Coming Home song. It will be catchy and you will listen to it, bbut you wont love it. Good damn NWAF was so amazing. Not sure how they did that.
@FreshNapp i really think it all is on the bands they tour with. when NWAF came out they were touring with ADTR and a lot of poppy hardcore bands. plus Mark Hoppus produced it and that man knows how to produce gold. really didn't feel this whole new album there are like two songs that are ok...but nothing special. i agree about catalyst it had like an eerie sad feel to it. thanks for being kewl and not calling me gay or something cuz i don't like the new stuff.
NFG has always been better than blink-182, and some are getting upset over "a new sound change" i really don't see a difference, it sounds legit, like classic NFG before they experimented with their easycore sound (example: not without a fight).
@sexhaie Actually with their album Not Without a Fight, they went back to their roots. That album sounded a lot like their first few albums (Nothing Gold Can Stay, Self-Titled, etc...)
This song is not that bad. It is growing on me.
Speaking of Blink-182, they're releasing an album this year too! Hooray!
@SxEMETALBLADE i guess, i just feel like not without a fight wasn't their best and everyone i knew loved it because of the "easycore" scene, i thought it sounded different, probably because a lot of bands were doing post-hardcore with pop punk, i'm actually more excited over this new album than everyone else is with blink.
@SxEMETALBLADE idk i've sense it more in catalyst and not without a fight, sticks and stones and coming home felt more alternative rock, and first album was more pop punk/emo punk.
@sexhaie Bahah the new pop punk scene was BECAUSE of them. Set Your Goals were basically a heavier New Found Glory/Blink. Not Without A Fight was amazing, yes it fit nicely back into that scene they helped create, but they kept it upbeat and never went overboard. It was perfect! It was your perfect NFG album. Some catchy as shit songs and some song that dragged on. It was just like self titled and sticks n stones. This song sounds crappy. I mean itll be a decent listen, but its a boring song. :/
@sexhaie Pshhh whattt? Search Radio Adelaide New Found Glory. This song came out 7 years ago my friend. Sounds just like the NWAF stuff. If not heavier.

At first I was a little hesitant with this song, but I bought it anyway to support the band. Now I'm on my hundredth time listening to this song. I love it more and more each time I listen to it. It's so catchy!
@passlane18 scuse me? I never said the new song was bad. I just expected a sort of follow up of Not Without a Fight. This song is just very different from what they used to make. I dont see it as growth though. More like a step back. Its just sad that people like you tell people like me that Im a hater because I dont like this song too much. Everybody has his/her own opinion and if you cant respect that, well thats just too bad for you. I feel dissappointed because I was expecting something dif
@Benji86NL Very different? Pop Punk is very different? It's really not. The only thing it doesn't have is gang vocals and a hardcore breakdown. But they've done songs like this before for sure. To say otherwise is blasphemous.
@mfnstudioschannel the real fans got dissappointed by this track. The "new" fans will love it cuz they'll love everything a band brings out. I bet you like the new Blink 182 as well..
What???"Real" fans like the not just the music but appreciate the artists as people and are willing to go along for the ride. How long you have been listening to a band does not determine whether you are a "real" fan. How much you appreciate them does. Obviously You don't appreciate them or Blink. The old rocks and new stuff does too. Just because a artist grows doesn't make the music they make instantly bad. It just shows your own inability to appreciate new things.
Are people really saying this sounds nothing like NFG? Please, the music sounds JUST like them. The lyrics aren't necessarily them but they've never been afraid to tackle different things(No News Is Good News for example).
NFG said that this album is influenced by Rancid and Green Day, so there's your answer as to why this song sounds quite a lot like old Green Day (they said the album was specifically influenced by Dookie)
This sounds nothing like NFG. I'm pretty disappointed... :( Wouldn't mind another album similar to Coming Home... MAN that album came outta left field for them, very mature but still rocked.
The tour this year fits, Pop Punk's Not Dead. :) My favorite <3 They never stop amazing me. This is an OK song but they always have one- three songs on an album that aren't that GREAT. But That's every band. They can't please everyone with every song. That
s asking a lot. Can't wait for November 10th! Denver, Co Baby!!
This song rocks!! It has a really great 90s Punk Rock vibe to it! Fuck all the haters! This album is going to be the best since "Sticks & Stones", no doubt about it!.... This song makes me feel nostalgic, and I'm sure the album will take all the 90s kids back to the good old days of golden music and television. They also mention on wikipedia, that the band drew inspiration from 90s punk music and albums such as "Dookie" by Green Day and "Let's Go" by Rancid. This could mean a punk revival again!
EXACTLY what i thought as soon as the song started.... And STILL think it does now that the song has ended...
It sounds more like Early Greenday... I DO thik that the album might have some potential to be as good as Sticks and Stones.. but Nothing will EVER beat Self Titled.
it reminds me a lot of chads solo project. i hope the rest of the album is more like not without a fight, this is to much like catalyst which is my least favorite NFG album. i still dont hate this song though
this sounds so much like Green Day. I like it, but I really hope that if the rest of the album is going to be like Green Day, that it's more like "Dookie" and "Nimrod" and not at all like "American Idiot" or "21st Century Breakdown" - that would be very disappointing.
Im not convinced. They're my favorite band for like 11 years now, but I sure hope the album will be better. Although I really doubt they will ever bring out an album that is at least as good as self titled or sticks and stones. Not without a fight came close though... I have hope :)
