  • i thought it was gonna have a Kid Koalla feel to it.

  • No... just no...

  • Hey kannst du mir den Playback schicken wir brauch den für den musicunterricht

  • is it suposed to still be called a music?

  • sick dude

  • this is one of the sickest scratches i have ever seen mang

    so chilll

  • Kypski ownage. I'd give my left leg to have that guy doing turntable magic on some of my own tracks. ^^

  • Most of the time i see americans reacting its not good enough.

And i am getting tired of it, so sorry for saying it.

    KYPSKI, Good job ;-)

And now you all go back on topic

  • here is my opinion explained: the sound of it (literally the *sound* - high pitched, scratchy, to my ears/mind/nerves = annoying) is what i don't like. yeah, scratching is an art, b/c you gotta do it right or it is just someone messing up a good song --- ya gotta tell me new 'scratch' artists don't sound like crap when first starting? ok then so settle down.

but that's NOT the issue for me. the sound grates on me like nails on a chalk board. not that the artist isn't crap - the SOUND is crap.

  • and for me that's not a testament from an *American* with low to bad taste in music, that's a statement from a human-being with good hearing and their own unique sense of what is or isn't annoying to *them*. we all have prefs of what is just plain irritating, bad sounding, nasty sounding, painful, pleasant, etc.- That doesn't mean 1 person is RIGHT over another about the level of those descriptors - it just means we're all different. that is ALL i'm saying C'Mon & Kypski fans... *NEXT!*

  • nuff said! he's real gud for turntablism n he have the skills to be a musician, stop hatin n post diss comments when people disagree wiv u, unless u have skills and post sum real gud vids for us to comment.

  • that was super shit

  • That's pretty fine!

    4/5

  • i love what he does and hes good at it (kypsi)

i just think the beatles cant be scratched, or maybe its that song, that normally has such an upbeat and positive attitude being lined with a minor tone background rhythm...

i didnt care for this one, a rare miss, i like your other ones though

  • he's part of a band called : C-mon and Kypski - you should listen to it.. they got some rly kewl stuff

  • morbid kiddy you just don't quite get it do you?

this is not about the sound ... per say here its a testament to a.. the clocktave method.. and the clocktave album/tool/record and dj kypski's crazy control over the record

  • Then you should bother to use your mind to find some other art. USING the same method ...

He does a ton of music.. In a way thats never been before.

Previously a DJ with a record would do percussive sounds using his fader/fingers

Now djkypski can actually turn a record out to play notes!

It makes a turntable an instrument in a more 'traditional' sense.. check out him using said method to perhaps a different song/tune/style.

  • no, you're showing an ignorance of the art you are critiquing. as in many other fields of art, those who are ignorant won't "get" how certain pieces sell for so much--because the fact that you can have one done in a certain medium, or done in a certain way is RARE.

so yes, thumbs down for expressing your uninformed "opinion".

..you'd criticize a robot who on its own gave birth, because the robot gave birth to only a battery?

  • you dont deserve ears.

  • and you don't deserve to have a mind, because you're not using it. not everyone's ears appreciates the same sounds. :) thought your mind may want to expand with that bit of knowledge :P

  • you obviously don't deserve a mind if you can easily disregard something as shit as soon as you don't like it. although, thats what the 2 last guys tried _very hard_ to explain to you, and apparently you can't indulge anything that contradicts to your moronic "opinions".

  • you also don't deserve a mind of you can't let someone else disagree with you. dude - it's called matter of opinion. and that's it plain and simple. i agree to disagree. this argument is so boring & senseless i don't even know why i'm replying. but you're such a hypocrite i had to - your moronic opinion says "i'm right and you're wrong". i never said any one of us were right/wrong. i just said "I don't like it". that's all. give up the fight dude.

  • hey Morbid, oke, i will not talk about brainless stuff like the others.

But, i dont know if YOU know C-Mon & Kypski...

i just visit your profile*youtube* and its about being creativ? if i got that right?

Well i think, C-mon & Kypski are doing new stuff, not the same old things, and yes there are pleople that don't like it.

But i think there are more people that will.. like it.

And sorry for saying this, but when i read your reaction,i tought..maybe its an american, and yes you are....

  • Shiftyden. thank you for actually thinking about your opinion, explaining it like an adult, and responding to my opinion with a lil more tact than the others'. yeah we all have opinions (you do as well, which *does* matter). my point is just b/c mine isn't in favor of these "artists" doesn't mean mine is *less* real, allowed, *or* that it means less either.

everyone's opinion does matter to an extent when it comes to an artists products - b/c the fans (or the lack) make or break them! :)

    ta

  • tof ja! grtz

    Michelle

  • lmao . . . thats sik

  • nothing but respect!!!!

  • oh my fuckin god

  • if you dont like this. maby then you have to chek some real songs of him withe his band:

    c-mon and kypski.

i hope that after that your vission on him is changed.

    sry for the bad english

  • stop spoiling great song!!! if u dont have fantasy for doing smthng real good may be try somthin else....hey dude this is really sucks....

  • man thats dope...delicate hands man...what sort of vestax mister is that?

  • k so you go out and buy pretty much 2 of the same record, then you just tune lyrics down on one deck and learn the songs place ment by heart, simple but nice good job

  • you type a real good point in cleer england

  • actually he has the beatles record tuned down .. but the other album is 'the clocktave' (he made it himself) its a scratch record with pitches and tunes all over it to play like an instrument basicly... its not 2 of the same at all

  • What decks you use? ... I prefer Tech 2's.

  • you should come up with a new act, other than the same thing, different songs

  • these were just example clips he was doing using his 'cloctave' album. he is in his own band and FYI they rule

  • That's !@#$%^ great

  • nice shit bro

    what is the vinyl?

  • weird......

may be u should try other occupation that needs public attention

  • Obviously you've never heard of Kypski.

  • if you're interested in buying the clocktave scratching record go to clocktave dot com

Thanks again all for the support i really appreciate it. Keep scratching alive!

    Peace Kyp

  • Thanks peeps for checking out my clocktave videos, im so busy touring lately but i'll try to make some more, maybe some more beatle stuff or whatever... The turntable in this vid was slightly out of tune so i'll try to make the next few sound better in tune.

you may not believe me but it isn't THAT hard to do really, just practice like you would on a guitar to master it.

  • never heard the original version...so i dunno how its meant to sound...but it was cool gud job.

  • Go Kip

  • Dude..i just cant watch it enough...KYPSKI IS FUGN SICK

  • I know, same here.

  • kate. hip hop is combining what exists into something new. thank you

  • holy crap...this is amazing...

  • If you a-holes knew how many hours he put it to this ,I've been battle DJing for quite some time ,and trust me ,this dude has skills! hardcore battle DJ's live for this s##t ,

    Keep up the good work!!!!!!

  • Dope! Volgens mij moet je half autistisch zijn om dit te kunnen. Zoals in de film Rainman dat die gast in een oogopslag ziet hoeveel lucifers er in een doosje zitten. Bewondering en respect! ..

  • Man. This is really amazing.

    Congratulations.

  • Nice work, don't let any these fools tell you this isn't fantastic.

  • If you people knew what was actually going on here, it would blow your mind!

This is one of the most incredible turntablizings I've ever heard.

  • That OK, but IMO you need to turn up the gain for the scratching turntable.

  • uhm... if you just got a guitar or a keyboard you could do much better. Turntables were not meant to be used as instruments.

  • wow...just seems like so much work when you could just use a sampling keyboard

  • SO NICE!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !!!!

  • nice try ... but pretty poor

  • i can't believe it...omg, thats so sick..damn it

  • Thats the best scratchin ive ever seen, its insane man! Must of taken a long time for you to get to that stage, well done to Kypski!

and to all those who said its like not really scratching, stop being so ignorant and go and learn some more about turntablism, you'll be amazed, then come back and watch this when you know some more, this guy is sick.

  • cooool!

  • COOL! Please watch " Snowy2 " ???

  • WOW. That was very good.

But I think that maybe you should explain a little more in the decription of what you're actually doing, because some ignorant people don't understand how hard that is.

  • well actually hes not really scratching? he's more of cutting the record and altering the pitch of it. none theless very nice

  • No, he's using the note generator thing and altering the pitch of that, like how u do on an actual instrument... So he's basically "playing" it, albeit on a weird "instrument"... hehe

  • "No, he's using the note generator thing and altering the pitch of that, like how u do on an actual instrument..."

No, he's not. That slider at his left hand is simple a volume control. The record ("clocktave") is a disk that has musical notes on it.

    (1) He turns the volume off.

    (2) He rotates the disk to a specific position containing the note he wants.

    (3) He turns the volume back up and let's the disk play the note he has selected.

  • the clicking is from the little thing he keeps messin with.

  • What was on the record you were scratching?

  • nice scratching son

    really enjoyed it

    *favorited*

  • the lejo is better :P

  • A worthy attempt. I like his other works.

But i agree, try recording this from LINE OUT to eliminate the clicking from the mixer.

  • I preffer the original version. Scratching is for other music. Sure you do better with others than with The Beatles.

  • ummm i dont know if im hearing impaired which i doubt i am but i heard like 0.999999999% of scratching....no offense this sucked arse

  • Holy shit! You have no idea how badly i wanna beat the shit out of you! This is harmonic scratching, it's just about 15x harder to do.. HE IS MAKING THE FUCKING MELODY WITH THE RECORD!! FUUUUUUUCK!!!

  • ooo my bad, didnt realize it

  • beeter songs available from their catalogue would've helped,I couldn't do tho

  • your audio sucks, try line out clicky.

  • i LIKED it. And yes i like the beatles too..and this very song of them TOO. Nevertheless or neverthemore..i DIG this version *smile + smile again*

  • i think it was pretty good....you added a new "spin" on old music....lol bad pun

  • Sorry mate, but that's a shit!

  • The beatles ROCK hard!!!!!!!!!

  • It wasn't horrible, but come on..

  • this sucked!

  • That was kind of cool, but i think you should not scratch legends unless you are Guy Manuel or that other dude i cant remember.

  • Interesting vid. Great technical ability.

  • i don't know anything about DJing, what is the left hand doing here, and what is on the vinyl if you just let it play?

  • The left hand is on the crossfader which in a scratching context is used to cut the sound of the record on and off. He's using a specialized record called the clocktave (clock + octave) which has scales from various instruments arranged so the notes progress with the rotation of the record and one complete turn is an octave. With this arrangement the notes in each octave are always in the same rotational position. Allows the DJ to effeciently scratch melodically.

  • thank you very much! now i understand.:)

  • haha stinkerd!! vet hoor

vet dat mensen het ook kut vinden dat je die track verneukt, die stinken nog erger waarschijnelijk

  • ja en jij bent een eikel

  • Moron

  • totally sick, mad skills

  • very beautiful. nicely, very nicely done.

  • Thats really cool! Using a deck as a melodic istrument! Good Job!

  • VET!!!! Jullie zijn gewoon super!!!!

  • insane - takes skill to play it like an instrument that way

  • ringo star is proud of you !

  • DOPE!!! oud schools rocks
