Awesome. The anatomy is a tad bit off, but good job none the less. I'm learning to CG but CG only. I'll probably learn to draw later on but I wonna CG. I'm gonna try and learn how to do a more professional job at it too like you see in Manga renders. Hopefully I can analyse what they do and use those methods.

tell me what settings for brush do you have?

y'know, opacity, flow, hardnes... like that.

for sketching always use brush size 3 with normal setting ( remember always brush size 3 )

for coloring

base colour i just use standard brush 100% flow

for shading i use airbrush... u can tweak the flow and opacity depend on what effect you want..

I have the basics of what you're doing, but there are a couple of things I'm confused about...

[1] Did you use air brush tool when you were shading for 5:18? and

[2] How did you adjust the line thickness when you were using pen tool?

1 ) yes i use air btush tool

2 ) before u make the line .. chose brush tool . u can change everything at brush tool from thickness and anything then --> go back to pen tool and start making line..

Well.. based on the amount of time actually DRAWING, the person could have used either a tablet OR a mouse. The straight lines were the product of the pen tool.

She's using the pen tool. It always makes straight lines, you could use it with your mouse.

Just getting to use it right takes some practise :]

But i guess she uses a tablet, because of the sketch,and, I draw without pentool and tablet and get straight lines, it's all about practise :]

wow nice work ive been working on an anime for about six years now mostly just paper an inking but i was thinking of moving it to computer an after seeing this videos im gonna say hell yes to the computer

Is it possible to do the outline (black/dark grey colour) and and go over it using colour (blue for example) and not have the two colours mix. When I do it the black outline turns darker (sometimes the grey turns into a greenish colour!!!). Please help me with this problem. I'm not lazy I've been trying to figure it out for the last 2 hours. Thanks in advance :)

1) u can set the layer u using to normal so the colour wont mix,

or

2) u can use hue/saturation - colorize .. and change the outline to the colour you want

At the moment I use ur method 1). But sometimes I accidently go over the black outline and it gets tough when I'm going over the hair outline for example. I just thought thee must be a simpler way to colour without changing(the black colour) or going over it completely (which is basicaly erasing/replacing the outline). But thanks a lot anyway.
