Jimi said "kiss that guy" on occasion in the live versions because the studio version, when he says "'scuse me, while I kiss the sky" sounds remarkably like "'scuse me, while I kiss this guy" Jimi had a well developed sense of humor, unlike some of his fans.

no, those are notes where you can use the touch strip on the neck of the guitar, so strumming required.

yes, but don't take it the wrong way... the actual lyrics are "Excuse me while I kiss the sky" and many, many people thought he said "kiss that guy" so in live performances, he would change it intentionally as a joke.

If Zig Zags has no Hammer-ons, then you can either strum fast while moving your hand along with the frets or you can use the Touch Pads on the lower neck of the guitar to do that.
