  • I'm cambodian. and I'm american, and we've seen this dance before. jeez french people. always thinking france is superior.

  • wtf? you are taking her comment out of context.

  • are all yike performances different? i've seen the one from Royal univ of fine arts in cambodia and a khmer kampuchea krom one.

  • a yike is like a play. theres a "Tum Teav" one, a "Sopasith", "preah pithumondit" and many many others. this is just the homrong, something like a "sompeah kru". The play is very musical, like a lakhon, except the music and singing style is different.

  • thanks !

  • love the live music!

  • It's strange that you (american) had never seen this dance before. In France, it is as famous as the dance of coconuts or with bamboos and all folk dancers learn it here.

Thanks for your comments and ratings!

  • i've never seen this dance before either.

  • this is a khmer dance? cool, i've never seen it before, thanks for sharing

  • it's danced before a yike, a play. it's like sompeah kru for regular Classical dancing
