@BlazejLW10 Launch control is a rev limiter.. thats all.... his was an automatic all he had to do was push the gas... haha and no he was catching up because i let off at the 1/8 mile.
Looks like the STi totally got the Pontiac from the line. Would like to see more in car video since the T/A was catching up FAST! I am an 09 WRX driver with a pretty nice Stage 2 setup that can beat a lot of V-8s in the 1/8th...a 1/4 mile, the V-8s start gaining ground fast and usually win by a small margin. Gotta love V-8 grunt :)

@SSCAMAROKIDD Ya i don't think you have any clue what you're talking about. The 6 speed has short gears aimed at keeping the engine in its power zone when doing something other than taveling in a strait line as fast as you can, for example auto cross. I raced a few new SSs at the 1/4 last spring in my 09 and beat them... based off factory 1/4 times it's mostly a drivers race, the camero does trap higher but the 09+ WRX tends to get better 60ft times when both are stock.
@aaronacj ok dude obviously your an expert but even when I asked my mechanic at my local subie deal what the big deal about my 6th gear was he said that 6th gear is mainly for fuel efficiency Ive NEVER heard of a 6th gear being for power but again your the expert here so sorry everyone was wrong and wow you must either be one hell of a driver or have raced shitty drivers in the 1/4 because theres quite a few 5th gen camaros where im at and sti's will beat them but not by much

i have the same setup but different exhaust and my sti is an 08 but i got boost creep once but only because i had my cobb tune on the wrong setting. once i change it ive been fine since and its been a few months.

@SSCAMAROKIDD hate to break it to you but the 2009+ wrx is quicker in the 1/4 than the STI mostly due to gearing (5sp > 6sp in 1/4)

i have the same setup but different exhaust and my sti is an 08 but i got boost creep once but only because i had my cobb tune on the wrong setting. once i change it ive been fine since and its been a few months.
