  • @ShoyruDrag0n

    ccs = CardCaptor Sakura

  • There are 2 languages of chinese mandarin and cantonese

  • This is japanese anime

    XD

  • 小櫻真係好好睇...自從細個睇完之後,就覺得冇一套卡通可以比得上佢...

    到而家都仲好想沈溺於小櫻幸福既世界入面!!!

  • @konokokoko

    果然是"誰能與我可相比較"

  • What lenguage they speak in honk kong i think it was chinnese

  • @antonello09 they mostly speak contonese in hk and it is a kind of chinese too

  • @antonello09 it's either cantonese or mandarin there are two chinese languages

  • what year was CCS broadcasted in hong kong in cantonese???

  • @awesomelemons22 I've been buying the VCDs for the series since.....2002-2003? So around that time I assume. They're pretty quick on the dubs. I was watching Gundam 00 when I was there this summer.

  • 無論係廣東話定係日文的主題曲我都喜歡!!

  • do you know where i can download this song

  • @Calypsiis If you are interested to try this on a piano or keyboard, I think the left hand chords are C major, G major, A minor, F major.

  • Does anyone know where can I buy this anime in cantonese and other animes in cantonese?

  • Where can I find CSS cantonese version?

or where can I BUY it?

Because I want to watch it in cantonese, well I'm cantonese, but it's kind of for me, but also for my mother who doesn't speak english or japanese XD

  • actually... m`goi sai and dou jie is pretty much the same, but m`goi sai is more polite.

  • dou jie = thanks for like a gift or something

m'goi sai is basically just saying thank you very much

    Slightly different usage but yeah.

  • CCS is my favourite anime :).

And I deemed that it was one of the most memorable kid songs in my childhood memories, and certainly better than today's "kid" songs.

  • 0:37-0:47

the way she changes the clothes is wonderful!

  • Better than the japanese version! Probaly one of the only other language openings better than the original

  • this was one of the worse kid song in hk kid song history. The repeating of the same sentence over and over again through the whole song was plain ridiculous.

btw, the worse of the worse was that "super black cat" song by kelly chan, oh man, that one was way beyond crap if you wanna put in any description

  • oh man , to you, which one is the best?

  • the "best" one depends on personal reference, but most of the song in the 90s were good songs. Go look at my videos, i put up a few one there too

  • finally sumthin i understand♥

    i wish i new japanese♥

    sounds awesum♥

    ♥♥♥♥♥

  • The name of this cantonese song is "百變小櫻"

  • Yay~! I can actually sing along~! (I'm taking Chinese classes)

    Xie xie~!

  • xie xie is mandarin dumass! dis song is cantonese, lemme teach you: Dou jie

  • Translation: Thank You

  • Oh and there is two "Thank You"

One is if you get something i think it's dou jie,

and if you tell someone to do something for you it's : M' Goi?

  • M'goi is like please. m'goi lay hor yi dang ou, please can u wait 4 me (not good at dat pinyin stuff). & it can mean thank you very much, m'goi sai la! =] cantonese is compliacted, it was my first language

  • Mmmhmm.. I can't even read or write chinese.. -__-

  • love this song

  • wad is the name of tis Cantonese song? at least a name?

  • go hong kong!

  • Could someone help me translate the song to english? please :)

  • From Japanese to Eng, or Chinese to Eng? Cause the lyric is different btw Japanese and Chinese, and the Japanese translation can be easily find anywhere

  • japanese version: fast

    cantonese version: medium

    korean version (my favorite): slow

  • Cantonese > Japanese

    fuck you

  • Do the canton OP are as mush attractive as yours?

  • @"@....?

  • cute, but I like the japanese version better.

  • OMG! this brings back so many memories! i remember watching this way back when i was around 3

  • im Cantonese =]

  • it's okay...but I'm not very fond of the language ^^;

  • this song is soooooooo cute!!!!!

  • I remembered hearing the Cantonese song but I never saw the opening. I think this is pretty good, even though they used the same Catch You Catch Me sequence, they had some parts that matched.

  • wtf? this is a very cute-sounding version.

  • So? The english one was pretty cool tbh it had a good singer and it appealed to kids - yet people hate it wtf.

  • true..but mostly americans didn't know about the japanese and cantonese OPS so they'd mostly have to get appealed to them...-.-..like me of course thoughh I could've watched the cantonese version first, but...anway, still u have a point..but still the american one WAS kinda a lil bit weird...

  • The show has to do with it though, and the term "dubbing".

  • The problem is that the US did a bad job interpreting its audiences(In THIS case, not every time-I'm from US). CCS's shojo romance, but US used a very adventurous tone. The Canton's more romanc,slow-sweet like:much closer to the JP original. Even if it sounds "cool", it doesn't match the show's atmosphere. US thinks that the audiences're always little kids who just like cool repetitive sound, but many of the CCS audiences generally like songs w/ more graceful, cute lyric(It's by Clamp, after all)

  • Dont Forget They pronouced Sakura Wrong they said it Sakurrrra. And Sharan Name is LI

  • Well, you misspell "Sharan" as well...

Ok, I was making a joke, don't kill me! ^v^ His official name is"Li Syaoran". Syaoran's his 1st name, Li his last. The Eng have to pronounce names that way because JP R(such as RA ら)is different from Eng "R". JP don't really differentiate R&L sound, so ら sounds like somewhere btw Ra & La. This is more of a native language difference than actual neglection. Most Asians have difficulty w/ R&L, B&V, H&F. "Syao"is also very rare in Eng & difficult to pronounce.

  • Stab Xd

  • *Grabs heart(?) and fell over* X-X

  • Syao is also another way to type "Shao" (just like "tyu" and "chu" on a Japanese keyboard).

His name is Li Xiaolang. I don't know why "Syaoran/Shaoran" is written the way it is without "Li" being changed to "Rii." It's like... half of his name is in English and half of it's in Japanese XD.

  • *Comes back from death*

Li Xiaolang is the spelling by the Chinese pinyin system(Mandarin to be more exact). Syaoran is from the Japanese pronunciation system. Li and Ri is pronounciate the same way in the Jap system - they use a sounds that is between the English L and R . They can be use interchangeably in writing, depending on the preference of the translator. In this, it just looks better, and is more true to the Chinese last name (L and R is different in Chinese.)

  • But the only correct pronunciation for "Syao" is "Shao," since there's no real "Sya" sound in Japanese (si/ci/sy/cy aren't pronounced as "see"). I think if translators have one of his names translated to match its English equivalent, they should at least make the other name in Anglicized Chinese as well (Xiaolang instead of Syaoran or Shaoran - though I prefer Shaoran to Syaoran). Shouldn't his Chinese first name also be more true to his Chinese last name?

  • ???

    *Slightly confused*

But CN system have Li&Xiaolang, & both CN&JP have Li?

His name, officially by Clamp, is Li Syaoran. Syao is possible way to write it, at least to Clamp.

This also have to do w/ location. His name on his CN passport would be Xiaolang. But he got another passport in JP, so he have a new name: Syaoran. My CN name's spell differently depending on where I am, too. (Getting passport w/ foreign name is really a mess, & you have to use that new spelling in that country, too)

  • Perhaps "Sya" was a misspelling (there was also a misspelling for the name of Toya and Yukito's school with "seijyo"). I spend a lot of time with Japanese exchange students and never does anyone anglicize their name with "Sya" unless it's a misspelling. Sakura says "Shaoran" in the show. "Sya" is only a Japanese-to-English misspelling. When we write "Syaoran," the spelling is misleading for pronunciation.

Since he changed his first name in Japan, his last name should be also changed (to "Ri").

  • You really want to be absolutely correct, don't ya :D

But like I say, Clamp consider it a possible way, so you will have to bring the issue to them. And like I say, both Ri and Li works, it's just a preference matter. Clamp prefer it to be Li.

It doesn't really matter with me. I am trilingal, so I tend to be not be that up tight w/ spelling now because system r flexible. In my case, I like Sya better, because it sounds closer to Chinese. Prehapes that's why Clamp spell it that way.

  • Wait a minute, I know why u r getting confuse now! Think like this: If u r Jap., would u spell Amy as Eimi, or just Amy? U may say Eimi if u're not good with Eng pronunciation, but when in a manga character book, the Eng would be"Amy", right? Shaoran maybe how be the strictest way to translate, but visually in a character bk for native Jap. ppl, pronunciation system doesn't matter: looking good does since they'r native and not language students.

  • r/o:For ex. I've the DGM character book. The name Road, is Ro-do, but the author spelt it Road. Another one:Lenalee Lee. By ur translation, it would something like Rinaree Ree? But she's Chinese & no one ever spell Li/Lee/Le ("plum", she has the same last name as Syaoran) using R in CN system & repetition of R looks bad. So the intended name in the character book is Lenalee Lee instead. It's not a language class, so culture factors is a bit complex & the system gets flexible. Hope that helps ^-^

  • ok thx

  • this is so cute!! thanks for uploading XD

  • funi has had its ups and downs. they screwed up dbz and db gt's music but kept the original for dragonball. also, there have been some dubs by other companies that were pretty mediocre. not 4kids bad but not all that great either.

  • this is a good song what chinese actress sings this song?

  • fire is fo and sky is tien

  • pung ngo sakura ho yi sai hoy juy zao

  • in Jyuping that would "yan" and "seoi"

  • really..interesting. Canto sounds so weird when its sung lol.

  • Its only older anime that they totally change the melodies of the songs, but they did a really good job on this one (ah, the memories) The more recent ones (eg: Digimon, Kaleido star, fullmetal Alchemist) they just recomposed the song (with exactly the same melody and rhythm, slightly different instruments, but not noticable) and adapted into cantonese... thats why i prefer canton dubs more than english ones... the original-ness ^^

  • U r so rite! fire is foa and sky is teen'. Okay i'll give u a friend request!

  • I'm kinda the same. I can talk in cantonese but I'm better when I hear or eavsdrop. umm... do u know how to say people, fire, water and sky? If u don't, tell me and I'lltell u how to say them in chinglish! Also, wannna be friends?

  • Well, since I'm cantonese i'll tell you y they change everythin' always. It's because(well I think) they want to just make chinese very popular, as u know a lot of diff. chinese cultures r very popular and they have so many shows and stuff also the china region is very very popular too. Wat have u learned? Can u tell me in chinglish?(Chinese words mouthed out in english) I really wanna see wat she taught u even though I mite not know, but if u don't want to that's fine with me.^^

  • cool man

  • I'm cantonese! And I love it ^^

  • GOOD

  • i use to watch ccs in cantonese when i was little visiting china for teh summer. sigh... chinese gives teh weirdest names.... ive always wondered how teh cantonese song was when i watched it in japanese now i know and ive remembered that i use to love it. i just fell in love with it again lolz.

  • Or, better defined, a child's innocence, rather than childish. The last line is something like "Because of chasing after Clow cards, she must battle with life and death"

  • Yup.

  • Who can stop ever-changing Sakura's mystical magic

See my Sakura wave her wand and seal curses

Ever-changing Sakura's magic has never failed

    Magical transformations! Change! Change!

Evil forces are all driven away

Who can stop ever-changing Sakura's mystical magic

See my Sakura wave her wand and seal curses

Ever-changing Sakura's magic has never failed

    Magical transformations! Change! Change!

  • The sky's lively and soulful

Always filled with friendship and love

    Always carefree and active

    One may feel lonely

But my schoolmates also know my kind side

    And my exceptional ability

    Who can compare with me

and be on par with me

In my heart I'm afraid to past by him

    After all, magic's not bad

  • You don't want to know the lyrics, it spoils the song... can't figure out the very last verse, but it goes something like this:

  • The sky's truly lively and soulful,

Always filled with friendship and love

    Always carefree and active

  • It's nothing to do with the sky - the first two words mean something like naive, child-like - as in the adorable way. The first line is something like "child-like lively little creature" or something

  • Oh, yeah I just noticed that, yup you're right. My traditional Chinese isn't too good and I don't speak Cantonese either. =/

  • Wow really? Your Chinese is very good then if you don't speak Cantonese :O It's my mothertongue so I know quite a bit but...wow I envy you!:D
