I'd like to make some suggestions, All of these are my opinions. Its your choice weather beleive it or not

So first of all, I think that the police is not really "readable" like.. its hard to read it quickly, if you make other video you should change it

Then, "tu t'en voudras" doesnt mean "you'll want it" it meens.. you'll be angry with yourself cause you didnt do it, or something like that.. My english isnt so good so.. im not sure i could explain but.. yeah.

I think your translation is right on. I'm a French teacher in the States and I agree with the others that gai should have been "gay" especially since Mika himself (though he doesn't want to choose one sexuality) admits to liking boys and girls. I think he put gay in the song on purpose. However, I disagree with the others giving you a hard time about putting it in the past tense. It makes much more sense as "She told me". Tres bien fait. :)

First of all, excuse my english, I'm french.

At the begining of the song, he says "Qu'est ce que t'as t'as l'air coincé, t'es défoncé ou t'es ..." You chose to translate "gai" that, and you're right, means "happy". But, in fact, I'm thinking tha he says "gay" (that's the same prounonciation in french) that means gay just like in english. It makes more sense and I think the in the english cover it's "gay" as well...

@clemclemoi That is okay, you're English is good. Excuse my French, of course, I am American. I had trouble concerning this word. There were many debates on it. Some people thought it meant happy, some people thought it meant gay, as in homosexual. The reason I chose happy is due to personal reasons (I didn't want it to sound so offensive) and due to the lyrics I had translated, which wrote it as "gai". But gay in English also means happy. Thank you, though, for your suggestion.

However, "happy" not only makes less sense that "gay"; "happy" actually makes no sense. The mother is asking her son why he seems stuck in a rut (in the video, he's embarrassed that she catches him dancing with a plant). She asks whether he's "stoned" or "gay," both of which would explain why he hasn't left home and found a nice girl to be with. It's a cheeky joke.

@Paulienae Yes, I was aware of this as well, but I decided to go with "that everybody WOULD love" instead, because it just made more sense in my mind, because his mother is telling him to write a song that he has not written yet, but he WILL. If that makes sense. I don't know, but it was just one of those phrases I decided not to take word by word.
