thunderclash3 is right, the sensor bar is only used for the pointer. Motion is detected by a built in Accelerometer. Next time you play wii sports tennis, unplug the sensor bar and you'll notice that you can still play.

To those saying this is fake, it most certainly isn't. I haven't actually used the script provided, but it WILL work if using GlovePie, a Wiimote and a Bluetooth adapter, and the script. I play many PC games using a Wiimote.

the sensor bar only senses the curosor.. i.e. pointer... you don't need a sensor bar for detecting motion..

But whereas football can be played ANYWHERE, its hard enough in URBAN areas to play even that.
Cricket is very hard to play in such areas and most people do go down to the park (those that are left) or join cricket clubs when they csn.
Wii idea is great idea, although i think you could only really use the remote for batting.
Also if this is a bad idea why do we not just stop making ALL sport games because "you could play them outside"?
