  • At least I still have Disney World.

  • I get two coupon codes for Six Flags October 2011, $25 Off. In this page sixflagsfreetickets(.)com Please, share it if works for you!

  • I miss that six flags my.famiy useto go every summer

  • is six flags in ohio gone, cuz if it is ill be FUCKING PISSED OFF! whenever theres a park i wanna go to its closed

  • I had no idea that it closed!

  • Dear Six Flags Associate to whom this may concern,

F*CK YOU FOR DESTROYING THIS PARK,NOW ALL I HAVE IS A WATERPARK!

    (un)sincerely,Name and Adress Without!

  • @nintendork2000 it wasnt six flags that closed down this park and made it into a waterpark it was Ceadr Fair that did it.

  • Its not Six Flags America, its Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. Six Flags America is in Baltimore. >.>

  • Its not Six Flags America, its Six Flags Worlds of Adventure.

  • i just cannot believe it's gone--my godson and iw ould go there every year several times b.c we had a season pass--now it's just gone

  • where iz this at

  • @dapatriots1 It WAS in Aurora Ohio. It closed in 2007 because things in suits closed the beautiful park down because of money.

  • @dapatriots1 It WAS in Aurora, Ohio. It closed in 2007 because things in suits from a company called Cedar Fair, after buying the park in 2004, closed the beautiful park down because of money issues as well as low attendance.

  • i spent the best times up here when i was a kid...now they took away alot of memories that i can't exp. with my kids. well there is always Cedar point

  • awww to bad cedar point ran this park out of buisness

  • i always thought this park was beautiful, if u look on the other side it looks like they might be building houses or something now, i am wondering wat it is

  • if this park stayed open it would have made ohio five times better great memories i got more memorys here than idora park

  • Funtime did a great job running the park, then Six Flags came in, spent a ton of money, then ignored it. Cedar Fair bought it at a fire sale price and completely f__ked it up. Today it's an abandoned wasteland that looks like it was bombed out. Sad. So sad.

  • i disagree....i don't think sixflags ignored it.....they were just offered ALOT of money for it....so they accepted.

My opinion is that Six Flags did the best with the park (but then again i'm only 17, i have no memories of Gl. before Sixflags) But at least Six Flags knew that to run a park, you need to put money in to get money out...not just sit there and hope that it pays back and shut it down if it dosent....Cedar Fair really pissed me off over this. It was our park....not their's.

  • @HooverDrumMajor but six flags tried to expand to fast to try and make competition with cedar point, with sea world it was a big hit, but sadly when they took out sea world they lost alot of money and sold it to cedar faiur which was alrready in debt and couldnt hold profit to a park tht was tht big but bringing in so little ppl

  • @coltarmadillo I don't know where you got your info from, but Six Flags NEVER took out Sea World (properly, the "Wildlife" side). In fact, the Wildlife side was there in 2003 when they sold the park to Cedar Fair. The park maps prove this. Cedar Fair were the ones who got rid of the Wildlife side.

  • @HooverDrumMajor and how many times did u go to geauga? im 14, and i have been there every year my whole luife we get season passes every year

  • @coltarmadillo the first season pass that i still have is from 2000, I remember having passes from before that, but i don't have them. Im 18, and have been going every year since i was 5 or 6. The only year i did not go was 2007....WHICH SUCKS BECAUSE THAT WAS MY LAST CHANCE!!!! Anyways we had gotten cedar point passes since 2005, and getting the "Geauga lake add on" every year except 2007.

  • the drop ride were she got her feet chopped off was in kentucky

  • this park was okay but cedar point is wayyyyyyyyy better.

  • Unfortunatly Geauga lake closed down :( only Ceder Point is left :(

  • And Kings Island

  • which ride was it that a woman got her leg riped off there?

  • that was in teaxs she got her legs cut off on a drop ride

  • it was in georgia

  • i remember going there that summer. lol

  • When I was a kid every year we went to Ceder Point, Geauga Lake, and Sea World. When I got older I worked for Cedar Point, and Geauga Lake let it's self go so to speak. After Six Flags bought it out it sucked. Now it is ruined. I have not been to any of them in years because I don't live in Ohio anymore. But I will ALWAYS have fond memories of them all.

  • Six Flags made the park better. Their mistake was building 4 new roller coasters at once and then no more. They would have been fine and given people something to look forward to if they would have released one new coaster every year or two. Cedar Fair wouldn't invest any money.

  • If they would have left it a water park it would have survived.

  • I was thinking the same thing... although they built four one year, 3 one of a kind coasters, and 1 kid coaster, and did nothing to promote them... the next year they built another one of a kind coaster.... and then nothing else for years...

  • well i love six flags more my family stoped when going to ceder pont and started going to six flags cuz it was way better and cooler two day pass's the shows was awsome the rides were fun plus if we didn't ride the ride we wanted we didn't get mad we knew was going to ride it the second day i really do miss this park

  • wtf is 4:25 and 4:45 no wonder they closed down lol

  • I really wish I could have gone to this park, if I become a million air I will re-open the park exactly to look like this.

  • @eflynn22 I know,right?I didn't ever get to go there either!

  • @eflynn22 Sadly, it might take tens of millions to even a hundred million to do so.

  • i looooooooove roller coasters

  • no deaths happened while mr. hydes nasty fall ride was at GL. It just broke down a lot.

  • omfg! thats me on batman nightflight in the first row, i remember because my brother told me to put my hands up the hole ride and i put them up as soon as the ride started ha!

  • i was in the back row

  • Why did Six flags sell the park?

  • lack of attendance[ Face ti with ceder point so close it was not surprising] lack of new ride, ceder fair destroyed the park by not adding rides. They took out the wild side of the park when ceder fair bought it.

  • chobo500: yeah I agree w/ eflynn22... no way to compete w/ the legendary Cedar Point being so damn close...

  • i cant believe its gone :(

  • who the hell ever said ne thing about deaths happening here? haha absolutely not!

  • six flags worlds of adventure

  • Is It True People Died Here? O.O

  • yep. on mr. hydes nasty fall i think it was called.

  • exact same thing as V2!

  • The Superman ride there is basically V2 vertical vilocity but painted differently and called a superman ride.

Not that thats a bad thing in any way oh no.

  • Yes but Ultimate Escape opend before V2

  • Good video content and quality.

  • damn i will love to get in dis last ride ...to do pipi on myself

  • I LOVE Vekoma rides.

  • the ride at 3:19 is coming to dorney park!!!

    they're naming it VOODOO.

    ITS GONNA BE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i saw it yesterday at opening day! it looks so awesome! it opening the end of this month!!(may)

  • ya i went its called VooDoo i hated it...too scary i dont like the part when ur looking at the ground...thats what i dont like about it

  • Im devasted cause My dad was part of the Six Flags Improvements which I thought was awesome.I was looking forward to showing my kids what their grandpa build. How the heck can this happen?Isnt there any monopoly antitrust stuff??One thing Six Flags failed at was Hotel or campground where guests can relax. Its a living hell driving out of the park going to the freeway. They quit after profits instead of watching it grow.I thought with Cedar Fair they would finally put in hotels like Cedar point.

  • Was Dominator new that year or was it 2000

  • Dominator was 2000.

  • omg! i cant wait for the one ride to move to Dorney Park! i always go there! i cant wait..they r naming it "Voodoo"!!!!!

  • Dominator is gOing to Kings dominion and superman is going to Dorney

  • luv dis ride

  • they are putting this one at dorney park. in pa. omg i cant wait to ride ittt!!!!!!

  • its amazing how crowded it was back then

  • i have a bad feeling in my gut that the DL is going to get scrapped, and if they relocate the Villan the track is going to get scrapped if not the whole ride, i loved that park and now i have to find a new park. i refuse to go to cedar point. and plus if you went there for a whole day youd only be able to ride like 6 roller coasters because the lines are always so long. oh well

  • okay.. well the ride at 1:59 yeahh well that is comming to my house.. close by .. at dorney park! =]

  • i am sad this park looked good... at least most of the rides are getting relocated..

  • actually it didn't make enough money so it shut down

  • Geauga lake wasnt as good as it was anyway. they would get better business with a full park then a summertime park... longer business

  • Evn tho i was mad at geauga lake for not making new rides..imma still miss it becuz of the childhood memories. The Headspin Aka. The Mind Eraser was my first roller coaster i rode when i was 9 :-(. If they wanna keep wildwater kingdom they should jus keep geauga lake open that dont make any sense tho

  • Guys, breaks my heart to hera this. So glad i got there while it was still a blast - loved Superman. I used to live in PA and have fond memories of all the aprks in that area, but especially Geauga, Kennywood and Cedar Point.

I'm due for another Northeast coaster tour!

  • Geauga Lake is no more. ='( Thanks for the memories.

  • ya i know i hope most rides and up at the point

  • I hope they will find new homes for the rides.

  • ya at the point

  • Figures now, none of this is left. Sad.

  • i no they want it to be a family park but c'mon more coasters

  • Geauga Lake was always the traditional "family" style park with a little bit for everyone and no major focus on just coasters. 6 Flags was trying to compete with Cedar Point and that can't work. The coasters are better at CP but GL is good for families with kids who don't want to spend an xtra $50 per person to get into the water park. The new owners understand this - that's why they aren't adding a ton of coasters. Since I live midway between the 2 I might go to Both when the kids are bigger.

  • I was just here 2 days ago (my feet still hurt) I think Geauga Lake is in sort of a transition period..origional owners let it sort of run down, then 6 Flags buys it and Sea World (on the other side of the lake) dumps some quick money into it and then ditches the whole thing because they didn't make their profit quick enough. Now that Cedar Fair owns it things will improve because they know how to run a good park and more importantly they understand the area better since they own Cedar Point.

  • i recommend Cedar Point in Sandusky OH real close to Geauga Lake I think

  • trust me you do not want to go here anymore, Im SORRY but Geauga Lake just isnt fun anymore i mean come on they havent made a new rollercoaster in like 8 years, they keep making punk ass water rides plus they just tore down the X-Flight, shit bring in a new fukkin coaster already damn...

  • Dude, That's the reason they took Steel Venom (Superman) and X-Flight out! Because they couldn't get enough business!!

  • and steel venom

  • It's owned by Cedar Fair LLC which owns Cedar Point, Geauga Lake, Knotts Berry Farm (in Ca.) and a few others. I helped build the new waterpark. The lazy river and a few pools for the slides. I didn't even get to go for free, granted I left Ohio as soon as the job was done cause your weather sucks! Get snowed on one day then it's 85 damn degrees the next. I might be back there soon to do some additions. If I do, you guys can catch me at Sneakers, or Slam Jams when I am not working. Have fun

  • This is a great video from the park. The footage of the coasters is awesome. I have moved away from the area and haven't been to the park in 2 seasons so this was a site for sore eyes. Do you have any more footage of the animals that were at the park?

  • Afraid not, but glad you enjoyed the footage. I hope toget back there someday!

  • I've never actually been to that area yet. I've made it to Disneyland and Magic Mountain in California, Six Flags (The Original) in Arlington, Texas; and Astroworld here in Houston until they destroyed it last year and sold the land. Six Flags has been selling off parks to fix their debt from the 90's. That's why they sold Geauga Lake to Ceder Point. It'll be next year before I go to Geauga Lake.

  • Thanx for the cool video! I heard this park is once again called Geauga Lake and owned by Cedar Point. I hope to make it there one day. Cheers!

  • Hey, I didn't know that! It doesn't get better than Cedar Point! In a couple of years I'll have to do the tour again - Kennywood, Conneaut Lake, Waldameer - any recommendations?

  • @redsquaredigital it closed in 2007

  • @redsquaredigital The park is owned by Cedar Fair, not Cedar Point. Cedar Fair owns Cedar Point though...Sadly now the park's closed....And left to rot, and abandoned. Only things standing is the entrance, some building (Some were torn down), the Go-Kart track, Footers, Raging Wolf Bobs, Parking Lot, and Big Dipper. I think the indents from the water rides (Old water park, and water rides themselves) are still left. Pathways are left too.
