I've been playing guitar for four years and held my pick wrong for those four years until recently. I also have really shaky hands, but I don't think that would affect me playing these arpeggios. I can play "The Song of Storms" and "The Song of Time," but those aren't as impressive as this song. :3

Trust me, there are much harder games out there, though. Just not for this-gen consoles.

Ninja Gaiden 2 for 360 is much harder on the hardest difficulty, thoug, but that really doesn't count. What's counts is how hard it is to plain beat a game to see its contents and resolution, in which case Zelda is much harder.

@Sikora360 I tried taht. It was a living nightmare and it took me 9 precious hours just to defeat Dark Link. I'm new to the series by the way. I'm 14 and a Zelda-fan for 7 years now. Sonic-fan for 12 years always will be. Anti Mario-fan for 9 years, I just hate Mario fanboys. Bethesda-fan for 5 years. And it was worthwhile playing through the end, I kissed Zelda. eeeeee. @grim10fire I'm also 14, I have been a Zelda Fan ever since i could remember, I also grew up with sonic and that is one of my favorite series. And i have hated Mario (love the gameplay) since Galaxy. Although i am a super crazy Zelda fan i have not beaten the game.

All i'm saying is that this game does not deserve to be the "black sheep" of the series, and if only more people knew how to play it and understand that NES games tend to be the HARDEST OF THEM ALL, than this game would be loved.

@0Uruha0 I agree with you. The game is challenging (and sometimes cheap) but I love the sidescrolling part and the combat has strategy put into it. It was a breath of fresh air and a different experience, but noooo...... people had to bitch about it, calling it non-Zelda and the generic excuse of calling it bad because it is a sidescroller. It saddens me that Nintendo haven't made any other Zelda games like this. I enjoy the game (But ONLY after I get the hammer) It's still a good game, though.

(Took me weeks to get through the first Palace, myself) But after beating the first 2 levels and going through Death Mountain of DEATH!! The game becomes better, but you still need patience, though. This game is like a spoiled brat, but after awhile you become better at handling it. Like me; I can now breeze through the first Palace without problems, but that's because you get used to the game and its harsh rules.

Any tips for Death Mountain? I can't stand Dairas or Goriyas. Any easy way to kill them without getting yourself maimed?

@Japancommercials4U2 I don't know which guys you are referring to but I think the toughest part of death mountain are the orange/red guys with the axes. The red guys throw axes at you, the orange ones swing them. Its all a timing thing. Get in a rhythm. Stab then jump then stab then jump. You also have the ones who throw boomerangs high and low, thats just a matter of turning to deflect them with your shield and if you get him in close keep stabbing so he can't throw any more.
