Hahahaha! Nooo get AIC outa #1 and put Nirvana in there. Nirvana is one of those bands that can touch people like none other can. My folks and I are huge Nirvana fans...and they're #1
Love NIRVANA's pic... n ironically enough straight after that is RHCP's Under the bridge... a song about Kurt... cuz Anthony used to hang with him under a bridge .. hehe wow
Under the bridge was NOT directed towards Kurt Cobain at all...it was directed towards Anthony's drug habbits..... He did refer to Kurt in Californication, but that's about it....
@atheistunicorn They were famous in the late 80's dumbass. and anything they put out after what they were famous from(which was late 80's) was probably shit.
9. Pearl Jam is boring derivative corporate rock; an untalented Tesla that wore flannel and rode the fashion fad of the times to become big rock stars.
8. Rage is a bunch of posers. The whole thing is a post-modern media marketing stunt: the corporate creation that hates corporations.
7. Soundgarden was severely overrated.
6. Throughout all the shit, they remain the Led Zeppelin of our generation.
5. Weezer is the Cars of our generation. They were subversively heavy and rocking!
4. They were a good band, Grohl an excellent drummer, Cobain a witty lyricist, and they had a new look and sound for their time. However, while they had some catchy songs, they were nowhere near the end all/be all these media-drone posers claim them to be. They faded away because they weren't THAT good.
2. The AC/DC of our generation. They've released the same song for the past 18 years, yet have been able to ride it out for the long haul.
Marcy Playground-Sex and Candy? Train-Meet Virginia? Cracker-Teen Angst(What The World Needs Now)? god dont pick big popular songs in a Best of video. never pick smells like teen spirit or under the bridge or ENTER SANDMAN!? what are you thinking? terrible list
god I loved pearl Jam Sandman oh yeah good times lol stupid Buddy Holly that song drove me crazy they played it over and over on the radio Red Hot Chili Peppers I loved them too
hey just wanna say thanks for NOT putting nirvana-smells like teen spirit as #1. It was the definitive grunge song but not the best of the 90's. and besides alice in chains kicks ass!
I wouldnt classify Godsmack as a 90's band even though they technically are. The same goes for bands like Creed and Blink 182. Might have hit in the 90's but they're more "modern" than the 90's music that I love
Pearl Jam, Sound Garden, Weezer, and Godsmack need to be excluded from this list. Metallica were better in the 80's. "Give it Away" is a better song than "Under the Bridge" in the 90's for RCHP. Overall, great job.
@AmplifiedRock I was kindof sad Nine Inch Nails and Stone Temple Pilots weren't on there. Stone Temple Pilots definately should have, they were a huge band back then.
Metallica 90's??? it's from 80's dude =)
