  • @Blu3sKLUZ Ok to do a burnout you have to rev rpms to about 4k then pop the clutch then hit the brakes, to peel out from a burnout simply let go of the brakes and give it a little less gas.

    in Australia we have the 5.4ltr cobra block as standard (with DOHC) because we would not tolerate a p!ssy little engine then didnt make anymore power then our home grown straight sixes! but power fans hang onto your hats because Australia are expecting the return of the 5.8ltr and there is talk it will be with Quad over head cams in 2010 :-D

    when i say GT i ment our Falcon GT (5.4ltr Cobra R block - quad overhead cams!! ), if you want speed you should check out our XR6 turbos (4.0ltr straight 6 - double overhead cams - massive turbo strapped to it) it will blow your socks off - and little Hondas into the weeds lol

    Mustangs still use a primitive live-real-axle and are completely under powered compared to the Australian built Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore (Pontiac G8)

  • 2010 Mustang is the best handling Mustang ever and way out performs Camaro and Challenger in almost every category.

    Its also the best looking Mustang since the original. Ford really outdid itself on this car this year. And considering it cost thousands less to own than the competition makes it a super terrific value. I would love to own one just like the light blue one shown here in this video.

  • They do, it's called wheel-hop, it's been around as long as that axle has been in that car. Trust me, I absolutely love the changes they did from the 2005 GT, but I just wish they put an independent suspension on all four corners of the car. Then, it wouldn't only beat the Camaro & Charger, but even some of it's foreign rivals.

  • Well first of all it's just the speedometer almost every car on the street goes faster or slower than what the speedometer says, and secondly the Mustang GT is electronically limited to 149 mph and the GT500 is limited to 155 mph, and we all know that a 5.4L V8 producing over 540 hp can go faster than that!

  • What I meant was that stock to stock, it was one of Fords shitiest V8's. Since it was based off of the 351W one would expect more than 200HP out of it stock. What did the 289's make? 1950225HP? And the 302's? 220-250HP...So this is a newer used almost 25years after the original 302's/289's and it lost HP...yeah it sucks.

    As I said, building it up doesn't mean shit in my book, anyone can do anything to any engine off the showroom floor matters to most people.

    The new Coyote also displaces 5.0L but makes 2X the HP. The Coyote follows a similar design to the new 6.2L Boss and produces a confirmed 405HP and 400Ftlbs trq. The V6 will now use the Duratec 37 3.7L engine making 315HP. Oddly enough the 2010 GT makes 315HP with a V8, dropping almost a full liter and 2cylinders Ford is making thesame HP

  • No, I'm not. Lets look at the original 302. It make between 220 and 250HP depending on Carb setup. That means by say...'91 during the 5.0's peak, it actually LOST hp...

    Lets look at the BOSS 302. It claimed 290HP in '68, yet it actually made in the area of 385HP...same displacement and almost 25yrs older and made almost double the HP. The 5.0 was a bitch engine stock. Yeah if you want to build one up it could totally be a beast. But stock to stock its terrible. Look at the new 5.0, 405HP.

So the 5.0 was put to major restriction plus noone in their right mind is gonna keep a car stock if you want it to be fast. You obvoiusly haven't been to street races.     Well the New 5.0 is pretty fast stock. The 6.2L Boss is fast. Even the EcoBoost 3.5L Is Insane fast. The N/A 3.5L is still pretty fuckin fast too.

    I bet I've been to more street races thaqn you have and I know plenty of people who swear by the 5.0 and Have seen them get raped by 4.6L 2V, 4.6L 3V and 4.6L 4V. The 5.0 is a good building motor but not the best motor in any category whatsoever.

    I've driven plenty of 5.0's and they are all slow. one had 400HP and it was quick, then I took out a GT500...yeah, not so fast anymore. And the GT500 is a better looking car and the interior is so much nicer.

  • i did not say they are the same engine but basically theyre are only a few differences like the heads and cam and a couple other things but you wouldn't know about that cause you think a crate engine is a factory engine. Crate engines are made by the same manufacturer (in this case ford) and do not come in any car period therefore they will never hit the showroom floor. and you have alot to learn about cars if you think just a twin turbo set up on a 5.4 will make 1400hp.

  • Guess you never heard of Stage6 or Heffner since they basically only add TT's to the Ford GT. Yes they do other upgrades like intercooler and S/C delete, I don't own one or work for them so I don't know all the mods. But I do know they add the intercooler and the TT's.

  • A Boss 302 and a 5.0 are so incredibly different and you comparing them makes you look like you know absolutely nothing about Ford engine.

    The Boss was built for T/A racing and needed to be shifted near red line for best performance. The red line was ~7K RPM mind you. All the while this little beast made near 400HP and could absolutely run circles around a fox body despite the weight ration of a '68 Boss vs any Fox Body. For has small block crates making over 500HP get your facts straight.

  • the boss 302 is still a 302 which is 5.0 liters and still created in the same plant in michigan so therefore they are not that much different, and 5.0 stangs love reving to obviously you know nothing of these engines, I own one so i know wat im talking about. and i seriously doubt you have been to more street races then me. My friend owns a 5.0 that made 505whp on low compression pistons then he put a twin turbo set up and on street tune (low boost) it puts down 858whp never seen any 4.6 do that

Ive worked with almost every mustang motor there is and the ones i like the most are the 302, 351, and the dohc 4.6. Plus comparing the 5.4 to the 5.0 is rediculous i can get a 5.0 fully built for like 2gs it would cost me over 6 for a stock 5.4.

  • yea i have heard of both and its more then just tt's in most cases the gt comes with forged internals stock so there is no internal work necessary. But a normal 5.4 like the one in the f150 or cobra type r which is wat a everyday buyer is gonna get if they buy it cause ford gt 5.4s would be outrageously overpriced. Those 5.4s don't have forged internals or even the same cam ect so they would require alot more work then just tt to get to 1400hp. I could make 1400hp with half the money outta a 5.0
