  • I would be happy to help anyone who want advice. I've been helping people all these years to get better through food!! That's why people get autoimmune diseases. It's usually gluten-dairy intolerances that develop into severe health problems. Anyone with these diseases can get MUCH healthier and children can some times completely cure themselves over time if they eat what they were created to eat! Wheat & dairy in America have been modified and are too hard to digest. They are making us sick!

  • My daughter was 8 years old when she had EVERY tough symptom of Crohn's. She started the SCD diet and it worked!! After she started the diet (which is not easy but WORTH making the changes to get healthy!!) She stayed on the diet for 13 months with NO cheating. Then she slowly added foods off the diet. She will never eat dairy or gluten anymore however. Our whole family of 6 helped her by eating the same foods. We are ALL so much healthier!! 4 years later she still has NO more Crohn's!!

  • tiniest kitten i have ever seen omg <3

  • i had to get this same surgery when I was 4 years old. I still have it now at 13. Later on this summer, I'm gonna get the surgery to fix it back again. This was very inspriring. :)

  • hi, i have had ulcerative colitis (UC) for 6 years and had a severe case of it. i was diagnosed when i was 4 in 2005. my doctor had gotten it under control for a long time, then in late 2011 i had a huge flare-up. there was nothing else my doctor could due and i had to have ileostmy surgery. i had abcesses twice, and had to stay in the hospital 4 a month thoughout christmas 2011. nov. 29-dec.27 . i really do understand your story and i know how it feels. much love, rachel

  • Hey, so first off, I don't understand why anyone would dislike this video. And second, thankyou!. Your video was touching, I'm 17 and have been living with crohn's disease, and colitis since i was six years old. I also have an ileostomy, and have been on TPN, remicade, humira. & so much more. You're such a strong person, and through all of this , you still manage to keep a smile on your face. (: I hope everything only gets better for you, from here on out! god bless you and your family!<3

  • Thank you so much for sharing your story! On October 3, 2011, I went to the hospital with severe stomach pain, I had pain for about a month, every time I ate I would get pain on the left side of my stomach. I went to the Dr. and was told that there was nothing on the left side of stomach that would cause pain. Finally I got a fever and went to the hospital and after a CT and some other tests I was told I had a perforated bowel and need surgery. I woke up the next day with and ileostomy.

  • Hello to everyone who have posted comments here. My son underwent a total colectomy this June due to crohns and unfortunately the internal join failed two weeks post surgery. He then had to have emergency surgery loosing over half of his small intestine and now has an ileostomy. He has suffered since age 10 with crohns and has been on all the different drugs from pentasa to two years on remicade every four weeks! every one who suffers crohns is a brave person it is a wicked disease.

  • I stumbled upon your video when I was trying to research my daughter's upcoming surgery. My daughter is 4 years old, although she does not have crohn's disease she needs to have an ileostomy done, she has a muscular disease. She had a cecostomy done less a month ago and it was unsuccessful. She is going back into surgery in 2 weeks to have the ileostomy. I am petrified over this next surgery, but I am glad to see that things do get better. Thank you for sharing your story, it helped me.

  • There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. :) 1 John 4-18. I recently had a colectomy and I hope this verse brings comfort to you as it has me. God Bless :)

  • Hi. I am 15 and a crohns disease patient, diagnosed in 2006, when I lost my granny and my sister was going to college. I feel your pain and Jesus is with you and will take all our pain away! I have been on a medication called Remicade every 6 weeks for about 2yrs and seem to only be in remission for about a couple of weeks to 2 months. But keep trusting in God, u have very STRONG faith.

P.S. the nurses do make it better!!!

  • Hi there Gloria. I am a father that had a son who had crohn's disease. It was diagnosed when he too had bad pain in his bowels. We went through a lot when he went to the hospital and had a huge amount of test's. He had to get a type of colostomy like yours and that was hard on him. He was only 14 when this happened and he was doing well until he suddenly was very tired and the doctors were too late in finding out what was wrong. He passed away in 2004 at age 18. We really miss him.

  • This video has left me with tears rolling down my face, you are such a brave, brave girl and I hope that you stay well for many years to come. I was diagnosed with Crohn's about half a year ago now and seeing your strength has helped me find some strength of my own. Thank you for sharing your story, lots of love ♥

  • @MTHKITEBOARDS I was thinking the same thing. I had this surgery 4 years ago and now don't eat anything that is tough to digest. No red meat, raw vegetables, grains, milk,, etc. Whenever I feel the pains start I immediately stop all food intake and do a liquid diet for a day or two. This works everytime. Haven't had a flare in 6 months

  • I'm not alone :') I've had Crohn's since i was 7 and im 13 now... :(

  • your so brave! I've been wanting to study all about the "stomas, urostomys or ostomys" theres so many names that they've called it lol. Really love the video, God Bless.

  • and I'm 14 by the way

  • Hi there, loved the vid. My name is Sean and I was also diagnosed with crohns at the age of 6. Last week I had a Colostomy Stoma done and I had so many tubes and what not in me. I know exactly what you've been through, and are really nevous about getting my picc line taken out, ANY TIPS haha but be strong and yes I am from New Zealand

  • What an absolute inspiration you are. I have Crohn's and you remind me of myself when I was younger. You look so brave in those pictures. I'm having a rough time at the moment but you've really touched and inspired me with this video.

    <3

    xxxxxxxxxx

  • :p cute video, i have to get my ileum taken out :[ but that's crohn's for you. Gl with everything. Cheers.

  • Gloria, you are so brave and even more brave to share this video. I am a 50 year old mother who has to have the same kind of surgery. I had it once before over 19 years ago and I wasn't afraid. For some reason, this time, I'm afraid. And then I see your sweet video. I wish there was a way to meet you and your mother. You don't realize how much you've helped a 50 year old chicken. My kids tell me to be brave all the time. I guess I'll find my strength thru them. Bless you.

  • you are so courageous!!! i applaud you...thanks for sharing :)

  • May the Lord Bless you

  • Everyones saying sweet things here, but I will be honest, Why are you eating wheat "gluten" That shit will kill you if you have Crohns.

My parents did the same thing, gave me any food I wanted when I was sick,

But today I regret it knowing what I know now.

Read the SCD book, takes about 2 hours, then decide if you still want that hamburger again. Take care!

  • Thank you for sharing your story. God bless you.

  • Dearest Gloria

Hello my name is Wendy, i have Crohns disease as well and i was given my ileostomy about 12 yrs ago i named him Russell. i watched your video and it brought back alot of memories for me, i was 25 when Russell was created i am now almost 37, i was amazed to see someone so young be so strong in the face of something so scary you are a true battler and i commend you for your strength My thoughts during all of my dramas was "what ever doesn't kill you makes you stronger". Thank you

  • big hi from the uk...i have spent the last two years in hospital on and off...i had ulcerative colitus...i had to have a total colectomy as my intestines had began to rupture, doctors and sugerns saved my life as i only had about 6 hours left. They took my entire bowel, 6 metres of my large intestines and some of my small. i am open for a reversal but am not going to take it. im healthy again and it has not stopped me doing anything. i spent my 21st birthday going through all this. keep strong x

  • hi i have uc and i must say your a very strong person

  • Hello sweet angel, I'm very glad you have a loving supporting group of people around you .I'm so proud to see how you are helping other people.

Make sure your docs don't cheap out on any pain medication you need.

  • Great video. Crohn's disease changed my life. When I was diagnosed I felt so alone..I didn't really want to tell people at school about it because not many had a clue as to what it was and what it does to you. All you can do is just get up each day and appreciate even the smallest of things.. you will also find out who your true friends are. It is a difficult life.. 38 years of it and two resections but you probably already know this from watching my videos. Keep your head up and keep smiling

  • Hi Sweety, your video really touched my heart, I cried while watching your video from the begeninig til the end. I just had my ileostomy, but they did it to save my life, I was so sick that my large intestint was bleeding by inside.. so they remove all of it.

I had the crohns for 15 years.. I had my surgery done last august... Finally !! It make me so sad that young kids have to go through all this...God bless you xox

  • Hi there,

Your video was really touching, especially when you quoted Revelation 21:4. I think your Crohn's was worse than my Colitis, but I can sympatize with what you went through. I had Ulcerative Colitis for about 10 years and had J-Pouch surgery on June 2. I'll go in for the take-down surgery on July 20th. I'll have to show my wife this video. She will be blessed. I wish you the best. :) 2 Cor 4:18

  • hey crohn's friend the way to keep disease under wraps to me is to positive never fails and its workin for you see ya and good luck in da futur o i also have crohn's peace

  • You are wonderful.

  • My wife had an emergency ileostomy two months ago at age 57. It's been two months and we are still learning what works best. We are getting better, but still not getting as good results as we want. We continue to experiment and adapt and expect continued improvement. Thank you for sharing and wishing you all the best, With your strength and friends and family, i am sure you will have a full well rounded life.

  • Bod bless you.

  • Hey everyone!

I started a blog so when someone posts something, everyone can see it and those with the same questions will be answered, in one blog post.

  • @JesusRedeemsMe Thank you for watching my video! I appreciate all of you!!

  • i was diagnosed with crohn's when i was ten...i tried all these meds (remicade, cimzia, humira, etc) but im only steroid responsive, so im getting an ileostomy on the 25th, its not a permanent one, just for 2-3 months probably. good luck to you and everyone else

  • need to have this done soon, but I have been putting it off for years. Mine would be permenant and can't immagine living with it and still being able to do everything I want to do - how clothes will fit - and pain. Im an adult (40 something) and commened you for handling this with a smile. I need to remember your face when I go through this. It can't be put off much longer, and I hope I can face it with the same courage as you have shown.

  • I have Crohn's as well. I had my first surgery at 21 and had my second a few weeks ago (at 23). I also dealt with the serious infections that you seem to -- I've had a "monster pole" before. :) I can't imagine how terrible it is to spend your childhood this way. I am very happy that you have such a supportive family to help you through this. Having no close family has been the hardest part of this for me -- never forget how lucky you are to have them. Best of luck to you!

  • i admire you so much your so young and your handling this disease and surgery like an adult would im 18 years old and almost died from my chrons disease but lucky i didnt thanks to surgery and im glad ur ileostomy wasnt perminant mine isnt either

  • I had to have a illistomy installed in 1990,,because of chronze Iwas also told that Iam also a dibitec,,which makes things worse,

  • I have Crohn's. Had a foot of my ilium removed, have felt great ever since. Although there is no "cure", there are ways to lessen or get around it. Good Luck Everyone.

  • i have crohns and im 11. you are so sweet and to have that much cheer and love us and inspiration! i was diegnosed when i was 8 and i dont like it but it makes me who i am! god loves you and wont let you go babydoll' i promise. -Emily

  • You have Great family support , get well ,wish you all the best . Ive had crohn's 29 years.

  • gd luck kid. you and your family should check out 'Dr Raphael Mechoulem' from the hebrew university of Jerusalem he goes into great detail on the Endogenous cannabinoid system, its no big pharma quack crap!! its genuine science, also there is some great info from Dr Bob Melamede an associate professor of biology at the University of Colorado. good medicinal cannabis has immune modulating power to surpass any pharma drugs ,im currently cutting down on 6mp and eating gd Q hash high in CBD.

  • Just wanted to thank you for posting this. I am a medical student learning all about GI diseases and it is good to see the human side of it. I wish you the best of luck in the future, and thanks again

  • :29 is the reason why you are in the bad state that you are in. I have Crohn's too, and I can not stress enough, YOU CAN NOT EAT THAT GARBAGE. Anything fried, dairy, or too sugary damages your intestines' lining.

  • ewww contrast that crap was nasty!

  • can you tell me guys what is the cause of crohns??

  • My grandmother just had an ileo yesterday. I haven't been able to learn enough about it, or at least i feel like i can't because i want to understand. She is 80 years old though & we're all so worried. You are such a blessing. I cried when I saw this but it touched me. God has been the best salvation I have found and I have felt so lonely & depressed over my own illness that i forgot how much happier i am that I have God by my side. You were just one of the things that brought it to light! =]

  • I'm 12 years old and I also have crohn's...

You're an inspiration, you have so much strenght!

  • You are an amazing little girl. Like some of the people before me I cried when I saw this. I study medicine and lately I have had a lot of trouble coping with the stresses and demands. I was left very humbled by you.. Very humbled. Tomorrow, I am going to go in with a new attitude. I feel like I owe it to you and people like you to at least try. Faced with a stoma I would have just fallen apart, you call it "Rosebud" and charge Barbara to watch over it! I cant tell you how much I admire you.

  • Well done such strength shown from someone so young. I had my entire large intestine removed but they hope to reverse it in the future. I had ulcerative colitis so I'm looking forward to a much better quality of

Life in the future. Take care and god bless. Simon from Ireland

  • im an 18 year old boy. i suffer from crohns to. i just want to say i cried at this and i dont cry at things that easy. your fantastic, your smiling in every pic. Thank you for your story

  • You are such a brave little girl...Your video made me cry :( I am 31yrs old and need an ileostomy due to a bowel defect that cannot be corrected even after multiple bowel surgeries. I could not even imagine what it has been like for you given that you are so young. I was only 16yrs old when my symptoms began and I had my first surgery at 18yrs...You are an inspiration and I won't lie that I am afraid of what lies ahead.....Thank-you for sharing your story - keep fighting little one!

  • i have a ostomy and i got a transplant at cincinnati childrens hospital

  • This video brought back so many memories, I know exactly what you went through. Thank you for posting this video, I know I would not have had the guts to do it. Hope your feeling alot better.

  • You are so young to go through this. I hope you're well now. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis 16/11/10. Unfortunately, I had/have an extreme and rare case. 6/12/10 I went in for an emergency Total Abdominal Collectomy with illeostomy end. In 2 years I have lost more than 180lbs. I was in hospital 3 weeks but am finally home. They've told me a minimum of 1 year for reversal, but it is a cure. It's nice to know were not alone. It's just a matter of learning to live with myself now. I'm 21.

  • i was in my local hospital (john radcliff oxford) l for 8 weeks with a i was near in a critical condition but the fantastic docturs realy helped and i have a stoma now thanks for a great vid!

  • you are a brave little girl, you have some amount of courage, im struggling with my condition and it is not a patch on what you have went through. Keep fighting kido

  • Thank you for putting this up. I have Ulcerative Colitis (diagnosed in 2004) and am going in for my fist of the two surgeries in a couple weeks. I have been in denial and havent wanted to research any part of the surgery. This was the first video I watched. You are so brave, I'm 17 and this surgery scares me to death. But I know that He will get me through it. Thanks for the encouragement.

  • @hollisterbabe59476 From one UC sufferer to another, I hope your surgery goes well! After 23 years of this lousy disease I've so far avoided surgery...it's not looking like I'll get away with it forever though and I'm just as terrified as you. Hopefully by the time you read this, it'll all be over and you'll be on the way to getting on with life. ;o)

  • I feel like this should be obvious, but what are the blue styrofoam things at 1:17, 1:25, 1:39 etc. Are they just some sort of prop or do they signify something? My favorite nurse brought me something similar to these so sit on and arm/head rests and I didn't know if they were the same thing or different. My reversal is still looking good for next spring-- hope you're doing very well :)

  • I have an ileostomy myself and as a child I suffered so much from stomach pain. I was born with Cloacal Exstrophy and have had over 100 surgeries on reconstruction of my abdoman....I'm am still young and 18 and let me tell you that you are not alone! You will, and have I assume, go through many challenges with the ileostomy...always keep the skin around it very clean...try not to bump the skin...its annoying with a lot of bag changes...man...i wish i could meet you now!

  • I am 29 and have struggled with Chrons Disease for 5 years now, and that included a bowel resection and an illeostomy, and your video made me laugh. Because when you suffer with this disease, humor is how you keep going. Isn't contrast yummy? And the clear liquid diet..mmm can't get enough of the hospital "beef broth"!! And the pain button is your best friend! NG tubes are the worst! You are a brave and fantastic girl, be strong my "poo bag" sister!!

  • Stay strong kiddo! I have CD and am going for my operation this winter. Peace crohnie! PS: @ 2:40 is that a morphine drip or a nurse buzzer ?

  • You are so very brave, My brother has severe Crohn's disease and uc to, He has been so unwell it breaks my heart to see him like this. I will pray for you and my brother x x Keep well honey x x x big kisses and hugs from England x x x x

  • Amazing! I hope you are doing well. I was diagnosed w/Crohn's 9 years ago at age 26. Immediately, I had to have surgery, then two more surgeries w/in 4mos. the second surg. included a temp. ileo, I had it reversed 3 mos. later successfully. I pray yours will go well, too. It was tough on me at age 26. I couldnt imagine having to face this disease and surgery at your age! You are handling all this with such class, keeping your faith, & finding your smile even in bad times. You are my inspiration!

  • Comment removed
