@roman9900354345345 Eh? Don't know what you mean about the oxidizer, but as far as stability goes the molecule is stable. It doesn't readily decompose or rearrange at room temperature. It's a secondary explosive, so, stable.
@DamersenNetwerk I believe what you mean is the molecules bonds don't weaken or degrade into a less stable structure, a molecule is fixed at a stable temperature in such a way as to reduce steric strain, yes isomers exist but the term "rearrangement" is not correct. I am not sure I would class it as a secondary it exhibits some primary properties such as impact and friction detonation, it is loosely heat initiated aswell when confined slightly. it's between classes.
Im currently working on an ideal dynamite and this seems the way to go. Except that i think i would add some AL to make the AN a slightly higher velocity as well as help the nitro out with that extra oxygen. Although im looking to store them for several months though. Seems to have worked good nice vid.
See what happened when the MythBusters set off 1000 pounds of thermite, and see demonstrations of how thermite can cut steel girders, box columns, and bolts. See my video:
@nevonja mix glycerine and a nitrolising(spell check) mixture (sulfuric acid and nitric acid are the most popular) slowly over ice water. by slow i mean slow as a drop every 2 seconds or something to that degree. after that just dissolve it on dead earth.
@nevonja first of all if you havent had some sort of chemitry education. do not preform this synthesis. its very illegal and very deadly. just mix sulfuric acid and nitric acid. if you dont have access to these ingrediants, you are not prepared for it and i cant support your actions. mix it over ice water means submerge the beaker in a bath of ice and water slurry. which ratio? the acids? mix it stoicheometrically.
Nitroglycerine breaks down to oxygen gas, and other components. Ammonium Nitrate, is an oxygen rich compound as well. I would suggest adding some al dust to balance the equation.. Too much oxidizer, and nothing that burns. If you correct this, your hole would of been huge.
@gothbro111 No, if you blow up and it's explosive black powder it will not knock a deflogratsiya, ie, the mixture does not detonate but simply burn out very quickly
Very nice! I've always wanted to detonate some AN/NG; but I've been afraid to make the NG. I can see it's well worth the trouble and easier to initiate than AN/NM.
@guidocreusen Totally, there seems to be an excess of people thinking ng is going to murder you and your family members. It's really not as dangerous as everyone makes it out to be. I believe that if you forced a runaway nitration of 100ml's of mixed acids, you couldn't do it. It's the 1000lb batches that are more select to running away.
I was considering making this, but I was wondering. What was the legos:NG/AN ratio? And at what point did you mix in the legos? In all seriousness, though. :P Nice video
waste of NITRATE gases --take big old log of Cherry wood 2 ft in diameter and 2 to 3 ft in length and place over this explosion and run like hell cause that B##ch is going to drop somewhere LOL....sucker will fly about 100 ft in the air....
hmm sure i posted a comment on this before :s. anyway i wasnt aware corn starch was basic or a buffer .interested to see ur source if i am wrong though :D. should add some al powder or the sort use up that lovely excess oxygen.
@nixrate I started thinking about it, and I'm not sure exactly why cornstarch. This was a time before I started calculating for oxygen balance. It's a shame with all the extra O2.
fucking idiot nitro glycerine doesn't need an oxidizer the molecule itself is unstable

where the hell did you get nitroglycerine
nevonja 8 months ago
@nevonja ng is easy as fuck to make
shidoink 8 months ago
@shidoink how is that?

shidoink 8 months ago
@shidoink could you send me the correct nitrolising name cause i can't google it
and what do you mean mic it OVER ice water (mix it in water? or the mixture has to be cold by it self?)
and what ratio do i mix it 1:1 , 1:2 or some else?

I say put Al into this mix. Put that oxygen to work my friend.

Did you add
E2qNX8btraQ3zRD6J7fc 9 months ago
nice, but why did you contain it in legos, you could have put it in a pill bottle and had the same effect.

here strongly positive oxygen balance, it is the same as blasting net ammonium silitru better to add there aluminum

would a black powder detonator be sufficient to detonate this kind of explosive? does this kind of explosive requir pressure?

@Yehudi NG is actually pretty stable, acetone peroxide is 10 times more sensitive.
when handling or making NG, there's no reason to freak out

@deltaalpha21074 Care to calculate the extra oxygen balance? Maybe we could add some Al? When you have credentials I will credit you.
DamersenNetwerk 1 year ago
@DamersenNetwerk Oh real experts AL you mean an metallic Oxidizer hmmm also acts a energy reactant
hmmm gee maybe use BLACK powder which is not a detonating mixture until confined as well...I need NO STINKIN credentials SI???

Was the charge under the ground or on the graund?
fesss83 2 years ago
It was buried about 10in. (24cm) underground. It was my first nitro detonation and could've been further underground. Nice channel!
