You have to think, what company didn't buy into being cheaper? correct, BMW. b/c BMW did not merge with Chrysler Group and made cheapo SUV's in the US. Mercedes Benz quality is going downhill. you're not too smart, i've driven both an E55 & M5 and i give it to the M5 EVERY TIME, mercedes are not made for track work, their diff's are garbage, you hit the gas and spin-o-rama, there goes your left tire up in smoke, while the M5 would lay down a nice 10 ft patch from and rip it.
