@GaijinGarry Take a trip along the quayside of any tourist destination to see many yachts like this.

Although the percentage of the world's population that is able to afford this type of yacht is very small, if you put them all in a hotel, it would have to be an extremely large hotel.

As far as douchy goes, having money and not being douchy have no correlation, but many millionaires are actually quite tight.

Having said that, someone I know sort of knows a guy who tipped £400K, in 1 Night!

@pineapplepenumbra Any links to boats that look like that?  I've seen a few youtube videos of what are supposed to be the most expensive yachts in the world. Of course they're huge and beautiful boats, but none of them look as crazy as any of these rendered videos and pictures.

@GaijinGarry I can't find any that are Very close to this one I'm afraid (I had a look round google maps at some quays in luxury destinations, but couldn't see any decent pics), but there are a few that look sleek and modern, with elegantly curving sections, rather than the boxy look of older yachts; failing that, I can give you a link to the cost and timeframe for building a Death Star :-D
