Gold tools mine,cut,dig faster than any other so if you have enough its good for clearing but the down side is there durability

if you place a ladder in the hole you made int the ocean it will block off the water. signs work too

When you were tracking the zombie/spider around 11:25, they were probably in a cave, but the cave flooded when you collapsed the sand. If you noticed, there weren't any splashing sounds before you took down the sand.

if you place a touch under the first block of gravel it destroys the rest.... try it. if you dont know how you can watch my 3rd minecraft vid where i do it. it makes it much quicker
