I have too Phobias one of which is this. and there is another one but I am too afraid to say it. cause I've been judged and these have both ruined my life. Phobias are difficult to live with. when people found out my 2nd Phobia I was bullied and teased nd my older brothers didn't help the situation I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I know how you feel, it's good that i'm not alone in this, but however, i'm not afraid of the balloon itself, but of the noise they make when they pop; it is really difficult for me, because that also affects me when is the 4th of july, and the noise of the fireworks just freak me out!!!.... i wish i could find a solution for it and one day see them without feeling any fear, or going to a party without being worry about when the balloons are gonna pop!.... Hey, It's weird because I can blow up a ballon but I get nervous when I try to tie it. I can't pop one or be in the same room with someone that might pop one. I never filled one with water and let it fall to the ground. I can pop lots of stuff but the cheap rubber ballons scare me terribly. I hear people squeak them and then I'm so uncomfortable I have to leave where the ballon and person are so I feel safe. It's weird but ballons like that make me so uncofortable. I thought I was the only one.
ive had Globophobia ever since i could remember and it really sucks because i could like never go anywhere normal kids went i could never go to any partys because i was soooo affriad of balloons and its so embarassing!
I've had Globophobia sense I was 5 or so. I remember I'd always get teased by the baby sitters daughter. (Who was like ten) She'd take the balloon and squeeze it and say "Lookie Jennnn!!! Its gonna pop!" and I would always run into the back. I am so terrified of balloons

They are used a lot, but I've been lucky and not had to associate with them too much.

That's really got to suck! Phobia's aren't rational but they do exist, and Balloons get used a lot more then most people think.
