  • ZACH THOMAS, JUNIOR SEAU, DERRICK BROOKS, AND DERRICK THOMAS...you are making me pull my hair out. Willie Lanier and Bobby Bell are two Chiefs linebackers that blow the roof off of Derrick Thomas. Nick Buoncionti's cover skills would put Zach Thomas to shame in down in Miami.

  • Ray Lewis is an amazing linebacker, but he still can't touch Lawrence Taylor

  • butkus number one r u kidding

  • wtf lewis 4… are you kidding me going into his 17th season beast leadership he has more tackles and picks then any of these guys only linebacker ever to have 30 sacks and 30 picks only 2 guys have ever done that hes number 1 all day !

  • No ray nitschke. WTF

  • @birdboy30001

Revis is a cornerback you idiot.

  • Ray Nitschke? (spelling?) He was around the same time Butkus was. The Packers retired his number. (66)

  • L.T is the best ever he is better then ray lewis and he most importantly changed th ewhole linbacker position

  • Dude no fuckin way dick butkus is num 3 dude he fucking terrified teams they made songs about staying away from butkus i don't like him personally but you cannot argue that he was fuckin amazing and dampening every team in the NFL's morale has gotta count for something revise and retry

  • LT is not the all-time sack leader among LBs, Kevin Greene is with 160, which happens to be 3rd all-time in any defensive position. Only Reggie White and Bruce Smith have more. The fact that he's not on your list is a damn shame.

  • one name DICK BUTKUS that is all

  • seriously your on some good drugs if you think seau was better than butkus ray lewis and derrick thomas yes seau was a good linebacker but these other 3 guys actually made game changing big plays lewis has 30 ints and 30 sacks and thomas over 100 sacks butkus was as feared as any defensive ever seau was a great tackler but to put him above them 3 is insane

  • no > d.ware

  • what about derell revis?

  • Ray Lewis should NEVER be #4 on ANY list.

  • jack lambert 1

  • yeah my ass says dick butkus is #3

  • Ray Lewis #1 Every one already says he's the best

  • ray lewis should be #1 bro everyone knows he is by far the best linebacker to ever play the game

  • butkus is #2

  • hell no ray lewis at only 4 and fuck patrick willis being greatest middle linebacker ever, do you watch even football

  • Dick Butkus should've been #1.

  • You all suck. This video sucks, but I thought some people that commented probaly caught on to the 1 person that was not on the list, but none of you seemed to mention him. Ray Nitshke you dumb fuckers. And Lambert and Ham should be higher on the list.

  • good shit man i agree

  • OHHH HE HIT WITTEN! FUCK HIM!

  • Derrick Brooks should be #4 not 5.

  • @gtafanatics63 ........I do..

  • Becoming, Domination, Cowboys from Hell, Mouth for War, Walk. Anyone of those would have worked better. Shit, even Incubus is harder than those tracks.

  • Good video, great linebackers. I might have changed up the order a bit, but to each thier own, however, I have a bone to pick..... How the hell are you gonna have a list of ten of the meanest, bad asses ever in the NFL and attach those extremely gay ass songs? Homeboy sounds like he has yet to hit puberty. Ever hear of Pantera?

  • 77 JENKINS!!

  • SEAU SHOULD BE FIRST MOST TACKLE, MOST PRO BOWL.AND INTERCEPTION. ....NO STEROIT...ALL NATURAL..

  • SEAU SHOULD BE FIRST MOST TACKLE, MOST PRO BOWL......

  • hey retard you kinda forgot that beast that is now the most feared linebacker in the league?? JAMES HARRISON dumb ass. you know, that guy who was fined over 100,000 dollars for hurting players

  • Dick Butkus at 3? what kind of tyranny is this?

  • dude, you gotta have clay matthews. not clay matthews III, with the packers, but his dad. 19 years in the NFL. kinda has to be on the list.

  • jack lambert 7 mike singletary 6 are you kidding ok everyone hop off ray lewis yess hes great but not better then lambert or mike singletary and please LT was a pass rusher he was not the complete linebacker you my friend are a giants fan

  • BOBBY BELL

  • dick butkus should be first

  • @jrockjones94 butkus dick should last

  • 1. Fuck junior seau

    2. I think Thomas should have been just a little higher like 6,7, or even 8.

  • whats the second song

  • learn how to spell, willis is 3 years pro, you look retarded mentioning him as the best of all time already. next time choose a better song, and junior seau isnt number 2

  • OKK DICK BUTKUS NUMBER 3 MY ASS HE IS NUMBER 1 JUNIOR SEAU SUCKSS AND ALWAYS WILL SUCK YOU NEED TO CHANGE THIS

  • you have to be shitting me with zach thomas at 10! no way is he a ten he is definitely a top 5!

  • could you have picked any gayer songs

  • How come Derrick Thomas isn't higher i'm not saying he should be #1 but he should at least be at least higher than #9

  • Oh come on what about Joe Montania? lol no but Seau should be number 1, he was good on and off the field, and jack lambert should be higher, he was one of the toughest.

  • KEVIN GREENE IS THE ALL TIME SACK LEADER AMONGST LINEBACKERS

  • Brooks was and still is a beast. There are at least 15 NFL teams that could be upgraded by signing him including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

  • Does anyone remember Brian Bozworth or Dino Hackett?

  • Hackett no, Bozworth yes, why do you ask?

  • They are just a couple of the best linebackers of the late 80's that have been forgotten. Dino Hackett was a monster for the Chiefs in one of the best defenses of the late 80's.

  • @Pandamatrix85 Comparing Middle linebackers to 4-3 outside linebacker or 3-4 outside linebacker is comparing apples to oranges. It makes no sense when people debate who's better LT or Butkus. Or Demarcus Ware to Derrick Brooks both are outside linebacker but much different players the 3-4 and 4-3.Next time make a video for diffrent types of linebackers

  • @TheTice33 yeah and bill romanowski

  • @gtafanatic63 NO STEROIT PLAYER COUNT...

  • @donjohnjonathan who cares he was a best just sayin

  • i forgot how about bill romanaski,up for debate.

  • @cuff1957 Were talking about football players here not roid heads.

  • @lastardriver how many of these players do you think, might have experimented with shit outside the lines, sure romo admitted to the shit,i would take a whole team with romos sack and drive period.

  • Understand I actually played linebacker at Ucla. Junior Seau is a friend of mine. I see what you're saying but when it comes to pure talent I think Romo was and is lacking when comparing him to Butkus,LT,etc. That's all I was saying.

  • i believe andre tippett, mike curtis should be given some consideration?

  • Move Derrick Brooks up about 4 more spots, then you've got it right.

  • Junior Seau #2?? You gotta be crazy or somethin

  • i thought Derrick Thomas was better than Seau

  • As far as pass rushing he's better. But all around Seau was all over the place just played for those sorry Chargers. I'd put Seau #1 and DT #2.

  • hahaha Ray Lewis #4....

  • @SportsEinstein, Junior Seau to me should be number 1. I think he's by far the most gifted linebacker. He played on a sorry Chargers teams and wasted his youth there.

  • d.thomas should be higher

  • like the lis but like a lot of othr ppl say i dont think mlb and olb shuld be compared cuz there two diff positions

  • Yeah. Ive heard that a lot. And honestly you cant argue with 14 Pro Bowls. And there's no doubt that they all have better stats.

  • sorry my bad, Seau had 12 pro bowls, that was a typo in the previous comment, but he still has the record for most pro bowls by a linebacker

  • Ok. My personal opinion, the top three are Jack Lambert, Lawrence Taylor and Dick Butkus. In any order. Lambert is not 7. I am a Steeler fan but he was an intimidator. Nobody wanted to run at him. Seau was good but I wouldnt have him at two. Lawrence should be 1 though because he was in a league of his own. I just think Lambert should be higher.

  • Seau is #2 because he has 14 pro bowls and 1800+ tackles and a lot sacks and INTS, Lambert isn't higher because the people ahead of him have better stats but if this list were based off talent Seau would be outside the top 5 and Lambert would probably be top 5, also Lambert had Joe Greene and Jack Ham on his team so maybe thats why people were afraid to run at him, also Greene is widely considered the best player from that defense not Lambert but Lambert was known as the tackler and intimadator

  • @Pandamatrix85 That is one weak ass response. Lambert had more double teams than Greene. anyone who puts Lambert out of the top 3 is a retard and doesn't know crap about football !!!!

  • @Pandamatrix85

Dude it's obvious your not going by talent as well because BUTKUS come the fuck on man the boogie man looks under his bed at night for Butkus google the most feared tackler of all fucking time then revise this bullshit bias list lol

  • @FalconsGoose76, Don't u notice steeler linebackers excel at that 3-4 which benefits the linebacker position, I put Derrick Thomas in front of LT. But I put Seau ahead of the rest. He should have never been a Charger. What Polamalu at SS position is to the steelers is what Seau did at the LB position 4 the Chargers. Seau was a complete linebacker and still able to do it past his prime. Wish he never was a Charger and the Cowboys almost drafted him.

  • Lawrence Taylor WTF!!!

  • I would have to mention Sam Huff, Harry Carson, Chuck Howley, Tommy Nobis, and Cornelius Bennett too. I think you did a good job. If you are interested in basketball, I invite you to check out "Need To Argue-Make A List". It is book on its own website and is on Amazon.

  • I like your list very much. I have been working on my own for many years and most are in the same ball park. (I have Zack Thomas a lot lower). The key reply to the comments you are receiving is someone suggests a player added then they have to subtract someone as well and that is what makes it difficult. I would look at some older guys like Mike Curtis, Willie Lanier, Nick Buoniconti, Chuck Bednarik and Rickey Jackson. There are so many great ones, probably about 30 in the top ten conversation.

  • i really think shawn merriane will be on here on day he had a leg injury bug he is back i know it!!! how do u get 39 sacks in 32 games when he was heatly lol

  • Merriman sucks! He's just a pass rusher. He suck in coverage! If its just ranking pure pass rushing outside backers. I would put him at #3 when he was at his best. Derrick Thomas was in my opinion by far the best pass rushing OLB. Better then LT.

  • wheres Ray nitche?!?!?!

  • 1 pro bowl, thats all I think I have to say, but talent wise he's a top 15 all-time linebacker.......maybe that'll make you feel better

  • Derrick Brooks is the perfect NFL linebacker, I don't think there is a more complete OLB than him. I just wish I was a bigger football fan during his prime so I could truely appreticiated him.

  • mike singletary at # 6???he should be way higher

  • Tatupu is better than Willis or Urlacher. Willis is one dimensionnal and Urlacher is old and washed up. Tatupu is looking like a HOFer more each year.

  • Seau best LB ever. Overall I agree with your top 5. Seau was unstoppable when he was with the Chargers.

  • As a current NFL player for the last 15 years, In My opinion, IT IS SO HARD 2 SAY WHO IS what. Stats are a real good indicator, but to me players that are great impact game situations bro. guys like derrick thomas and ray lewis bro were game changers. we really used 2 game plan for derrick thomas and ray lewis ect. on the real, there are about 10 total LB's that were game changers in the history of football, even though many more are in the HOF. My professional opinion bro.

  • Derrick Brooks #5? wtf? I feel offended. Brooks will always be the greatest no matter what team hes on this year hes goin for 12.

  • Derrick brooks #1? okay.....idiot.

    1.Lawerence Taylor

    2.Jack Lambert

    3.Ray Lewis

    4.Junior Seau

    5.Derrick Thomas

  • STEELERS STEEL CURTAIN!!!!

  • Whats the song? lol

  • 1st song is Last Call Casualty

2nd song is friends o' mine

(the songs are by Bowling for soup)

PS I don't think that I spelled the songs names right but its close enough

  • Hey its cool, thanks.

Your list gives alot of info and everything, it really good. You should do current players so people are educated with whats around, nobody knows football no more.

it would be cool if you did more vids.

  • thanks, and I know what you mean about people don't know football anymore, they just listen to the media, and they never look at the stats

  • Right. Thing is, i don't look at stats sometimes.

I believe Derrek Brooks is the greatest LB ever.

There's convincing evidence of stats that would put alot of other players ahead of him, but talent is what i look at.

I'm the guy that believe Ronald Bartell from the Rams is a top 10 CB in the league. He only has like.. 3 int's, but he shuts down alot of WR, big names too.

  • I'll watch Bartell and see how he does, and Brooks is very good, he made the Bucs one of the top 10 defenses for like ever and he plays great coverage great tackler and he's very smart and very fast, if he was one a better team he would probably have been considered the greatest of all-time, and as it is he has a strong case for #1 if he makes 2 more pro bowls he'd unanimously be #1 all-time(cause he'd have 13 pro bowls which would break Junior Seau's record of 12)

  • Talk about Jr! Jr was a mean SOB! Remember back when he was with San Diego in the early 2000's? WOW, that guy had a mouth after he slammed you, i love that guy!

Brooks scared people big time! He moved so fast, yet, silent! That guy is like a horror movie on mute, lol!

Patrick Willis is looking good to, give him 6 more years, he will be top 10, give him his whole career, we talking 2000 tackles and 15 pro bowls, two super bowls. HE IS GOOOOOD!

To bad he faces my Rams Steven Jackson twice, lol

  • Derrek Brooks should be #1

  • finally somebody that recognizes derrick brooks. thank you!

  • I been saying Derrek Brooks is the greatest on every Youtube Linebacker video, lol

    I love this list!

    Derrek brooks is #1!

  • zach thomas is great sad to see he leave the dolphins

  • no chance seau is better than lewis. Ray is top 2 right now and could be 1 by the time he retires especially if they win another superbowl

  • Look at the career stats......Lewis is still actively playing at a high caliber so he'll probably move up on the list, but for now Seau is higher

  • @Pandamatrix85 what stats are referring to? Ray Lewis is the only linebacker in history with 30+ sacks and 30+ int's. 2x defensive player of the year, superbowl MVP, and 11 pro bowls. Only one other player in NFL history has done that and that's LT. Plus he changed the way middle linebackers play forever. They used to play hashmark to hashmark, but now because of him they play sideline to sideline. Seriously watch him from '98 to '03 when he was in his prime. He changed the position forever.

  • thanks for pointing that out about the only LB with 30 ints and sacks, maybe he should be higher but I strongly believe Seau and LT are the top 2 but I think Lewis could pass Seau with enough time and he would have a bit to do to pass LT but at his age it won't happen, so he's either #3 or #4 at the moment disregarding stats from the 2009 season since it aint over yet

  • To be honest with u i really don't like comparing middle lb's to outside lb's as they are two completey different positions with different responsiblities. it's like comparing qb's to rb's. having said that i respect your opinion and i remembe Seau in his prime and he was great. One thing you have to consider was how good these defenses were with each guy. The Ravens have always been an elite defense since Ray has been there. They statistically the best defense in the NFL over the past 10 years.

  • great video finally sum 1 thinks derrick brooks should be in top 5

  • It should go like this 1.Dick Butkus 2.Lawrence Taylor 3.Jack Lambert 4.Mike Singletary 5.Ray Lewis 6.Jack Ham 7.Bill Romanowski 8.Junior Seau 9.Zack Thomas 10.Brian Urlacher
  • Why, and btw support your reasoning with stats and facts

  • bill romanowski?? are you high on crack?? he did steriods he was a cheater! he sucked!

  • FUCK FUCK all looks perfect untill butkus at 3 and seau at 2 it's a fucking insult move seau tto 8-10 no fucking way is that high you almost hade it but come on... seau at 2 your must be a patriot chager fan

  • what's wrong with Seau? he has 12 pro bowls(tops for a LB) and he's like #3 or something in career tackles, and he has a lot of sacks and INTs, he was great, 1st ballot HOF, whats worng with Butkus? he played his whole career on 2 bad kness and was the most feared hitter of all-time(according to NFL Network), and he was a 2 time Defensive POY, Butkus is kinda like the father of the position

  • ahh nono BUTKUS RULES. Belive me him i love i have no love for seau i just don't like him and i think at top he deserves a 5 position but to have seau before butkus is crazy as you says butkus is the father to the linbacking position

  • what do you dislike about Seau? look at his stats in this video he is #2 cause he brought a model of consistency never seen before(12 pro bowls) at the linebacker position, and he has a lot of INTs and sacks, he did it all

  • yeha yeah i now about his stats and all that by stats he is a beast. But he dosent have the IT factor. Please atleast swich him with butkus cuz he aint bettter then butkus and i personaly feel like Jack ham is a bit far down the list if you look at jack ham stats he was also a beast and he hade the it factor.

  • I'm not really sure what the it factor is, so may you explain that too me?

  • it was all great you put the pics perfect and the stats were right just everything was perfect

  • thanks

  • I couldnt stop watching it it was great but you forgot brian urlacher

  • well, he doesn't quite have the stats yet but he's also had a bad year in 2008 so he may be on the decline but when it's all said and done he'll be in the HOF, by the way he'd make the list if it was top 15 though, and maybe in a few years he'll be in the top ten, and I just wanna know, what was so great about the video? was it the tackle pictures? Stats? Music? or something else?

  • Great Great Video very good job!!!

  • thanks, I appreciate the complement
