  • 4:52 is my favorite, the flowing music is perfect for the languid water and the turmoil the pair are feeling

  • The original score of this film moves the scenes along so effortlessly, much like John Psathas’s score in the new Modern Western “Good for Nothing”. I have no doubt that this film will gain a wide fan base as well as make it to the Academy Awards for its score! If you haven’t seen it you need to check out the trailer. youtube . com/watch?v=gRYZNCVeZDY

  • brilliant quality:) thanks a lot :D

  • So I putten this song so my mom would think I was doing my homework instead of watching porn and when it was over she came and said !!!!WHERE'S THE FUCKING NOVEL!!!!!!

  • what does robbies note say exactly?

  • @slimithy13 It declares is love for Cecilia uses seemingly (ahem) INTIMATE diction. It basically says how fond he is of her " sweet c**t"

  • this is my favorite part in the whole soundtrack.

  • tu0et0moi on another video noticed something really clever: the pronunciation of Cee, You and Tea spells out CUNT, a pivitol word in the film. Cee (c) you (U) and (N) Tea (t)

  • @cartergirl3of3 hahah already said it! :) Clever isnt it!

  • Part 2??

  • See You and Tea. C U N T. ;)

  • @Richtherichisrich thanks for actually spelling it out! It took me a while to figure it out, hehe

  • Of course, it is wonderful soundtrack. :)

  • I love it at 2:52

  • Dario Marianelli is a truemaster of melody and the use of the orchestra; he is a true genius when it comes to pure musical beauty, as is evident in every piece in pride and prejudice, as well as Atonement! :) <3

  • the whole story is just so sad it makes me wanna kill myself; wonderful novel/film

  • Can you put up the other parts? Please?!

  • gluko ....

  • pretty clarinet.

  • Happy Birthday Dario Marianelli (June 21)

  • I love this film and it's soundtrack. Beautifully shot, spectacular acting in my opinion and wonderful music :)

  • This may sound werid, but "Cee, You and Tea" reminds me alot of The Bourne Trilogy (John Powell).

  • @blondiepianist I LOVE John Powell! :D

  • for the only person who disliked this : FAIL

  • @jnctf very good

  • @jnctf yes, very grea ! :).

  • lovely!

  • Brilliant Song!!!! Outstanding composition. It pops up in the movie in unexpected ways, and always incorporates what's going on in the scene!!!!!LOVE IT.

  • Why is this a unique soundtrack? as RT puts it. I'm not saying it's bad, just why unique? I believe I've heard a lot of similar scores.

  • @PrimaveraPictures i'm thinking maybe the inclusion of the sounds like the typewriter, banging the car and things like that ?? I really can't say for certain but when listening to this movie I hear the score and the foley blend into one and I personally haven't heard anything so seamless in any other soundtrack.

  • beautiful and intense film... i was bawling during the last few minutes. i still feel guilty about not reading the novel before watching it though

  • I can't believe I missed this wonderful movie in 2009 .. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to watch it later :D It's so intense...loved it

  • This is genius.

  • A Profound and bold film.

  • a beatifull movie and music, life would not always be rosy

  • definitely deserved the Oscar

  • I just watched this movie... and I... feel... really sad. That film was just so dreadfully sad. :[

  • Very intellegent and intruiging. Just the whole way tension rises in those scenes. The type writting makes it perfect.

  • boskieee

  • The film is magnificent, the music draws your tears from far within your heart and the actors' perfomances are simply perfect.....How can we forget Briony's gaze through the window at Cecilia and Robby by the pool...

  • The use of the typewriter in the music is genius.

  • I watched the movie 3 times and love the music. I am a fan of Dario Marianelli. He also wrote the music for Pride and Prejudice. Also received a award for this music.

  • one 'tiny misunderstanding' changes everybody's lives forever!

  • That movie shows how crappy people can be to each other .

  • fantastic movieeee

  • whats the plot of the movie? anyone?

  • A man and a woman are separated when the woman's little sister accuses her lover of rape charges of her friend under false accusations and a jealousy raging through the little sister. And because of the war, they are separated even further.

I make it sound dull and boring, but it's a really good movie. If you get the chance, read the novel. It's absolutely beautiful.

  • I know it does really sound boring, and the first 20 mins can be considered so, but I finally watched it. I was doing a school paper and put it on, so I was half involved. Then I had to stop the paper and finish watching it. But I missed the final 20 minuets. I bought it, watched the whole thing, and cried my eyes out. Imma get the book now!!!!!!!!

  • Okay, but just a forewarning: the movie is based on Robbie and Cecila's romance, but the book is based on more of the war.

  • yeah i was planning to read the book too once i saw the movie. Is the book better im assuming?

  • Oh yes, indeed, but I'll let you know now that the novel focuses more on the war ships and the movie shows the romance

  • @violetsky35 The book is AMAZING. I just finished studying it.

  • @musikplayer610 i havent' had the chance to read the novel but i'd love to!!! if the movie is great i can't think of how good the book is!!!

  • @musikplayer610 would you say there's an age limit on it and if so how old do you think you should be before you read it?

  • @musikplayer610 I'm starting to read the novel for the second time. I just thought it was beautifully written. Plus, I think the movie was one of the most faithful adaptations of a book: the places and the MUSIC were fantastic

  • a rich girl and the son of the maid fall in love. But then the son of the maid gets blamed for the rape of the cousin of the girl. He gets the choise of staying in prison or go to the war in france and holland. The one who blamed him was the sister of the rich girl.. and she tells her story, for what she has done, because when she gets older, she finds out that he wasnt the one who raped the girl. its a complicated story to tell in a few words, but the movie is worth your time and money, really.

  • i loooove this movie!

  • i loooove it♥

  • loooove this soundtrack. i have yet to buy it

  • part 2,3,4 please ?

  • OMG Jean Yves Thibaudet made the soundtrack for pride and prejudice which is simply beautiful...another wonderful performance by kiera knightly.

  • I believe it was again Marianneli that did the soundtrack for that one two, I have it

  • i love the cover of this movie/soundtrack. sometimes cecelia will be on the top and robbie on the bottom but either way briony is always seperating the two.

  • i love it so much :)

    thank you!!

  • so did the director and kiera knightly. they are like a group force kind of.

  • not to forget the pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet who played the piano part in both movies

  • the composer also made pride and prejudice

  • yes! wasn't that good?

  • @gracemlinde im not surprised... i was actually listening to pride and prejudice soundtrack and its sounded vaguely familiar to the music i had heard in atonement... and so it lead me to this :)

  • @gracemlinde

Which is one THE MOST amazing movie scores in the world!

  • @gracemlinde LOVE.
