Whats so bad about sit downs? Sit downs and stand ups both have there ups and downs. I like sit downs just because i can ride a lot faster on them and have more than one person on at once, stand ups are just fun because you can do so many tricks, its really preference though, not one is better than the other.
Back in my day we called the sit-downs " wetbikes ". and the stand-ups were “ jetski's “. I think here in Texas it can be a tongue twister because of our southern draw so several times I have seen them listed in the newspaper as wetbacks. LOL
Funny wipeout. I do the 360's and I have an older RX (2000), which works great for this type of stunts, as it is only 600lbs. Also jumps like a jackrabbit.
My worst day on a wetbike is much better than my best day at work.
My jet ski has many safety features in it .. Like if you let up on the throttle, it won't turn ... and if you are going .. say 50 .. and you turn the wheel sharp, it will not turn until it reaches minimum speed to turn quick ..
@NewYorkCityBoy123 sorry to say but all older jet ski's do not turn unless you give it throttle. its not a safety feature especially if you see a log. instinct tells you to slow down and turn. slowing down is the easy part. slowing down and turning is impossible unless you have some kind of paddle to drag on the side. just sayin. feel free to reply and proove me wrong. im always into learning new things but dont say im an idiot. this is what i know and im sorry if it concerns you.
to all the haters of sit downs... grow up. i'm a stand up rider (superjets all the way). i sold my sit down and bought a boat last year and love it. but who the hell cares what you ride as long as you're out on the water having fun and being respectful of others?? who cares what you ride... as long as it's not a doo! :D
@kingmanairsoftteam - If your talking about MrJaymech. Here it is: "to all you stand up guy`s i have a stand up and a sit down nothing wrong with any of them !!!. you should shut the fuck up all of you and stick together against all them anti ski knobheads and protect your sport!!! "
@cbrl06 Standups are amazing and you can do lots of tricks on them. The only reason I was able to out jump them was because we had several barges moving down the river near a sharp corner. They created huge rolling wakes that I was able to stay on top of. The standups had a hard time on them, they kept cutting though and were not getting the air that I could. Only because I was displacing more water. Otherwise on a normal day, they can out jump me.
ye well i slipped off a couple of times and you feel like this is it, but then you realize nothing happened to you somehow. once however i was riding swells during a hurricane and the sea opened under me, so instead of landing onto the other side of the swell i fell good 7 feet into the water and almost broke my legs, that was much worse than falling off at 60mph. But i assume you can dislocate your shoulder and such, even though nothing ever happened to me...
@apm285 All I know is I fell off a kawasaki ultra 250x yesterday going only like 45mph and it knocked the wind out of me for about 15 seconds. Really hurts, cant imagine falling off at 70!
I own one of the fastest production jetskis they make kid, you clearly have never been on a jetski and need to take some of your own advice.... shut the F**K up... any one can see they are going at least 40mph if you can't you are clearly stupid
Ha, nice one. Can't do it if you don't try eh. Although I have to disagree with you on the not falling thing. I personally prefer to stay ON the jet ski lol.
Just being on the water is fun, no matter what you ride. The ultra 150 is very heavy, so you will need to lean over the bars and use your body to help pull that move off. Remember, half the fun is falling off! Good luck and have fun.
I was heavier then my Kawasaki ZXI, coming in at over 650 lbs. And that is with the full gas tank of 22 Gal. The only thing I didn't like was the fuel economy. If I pushed it, I could burn through the tank in about 3 hours. Otherwise, it was a great ride and I miss it a lot! 72mph is about right. But with the right water conditions, you can get it up over 75+. Thanks for commenting, and have fun!
Sure you may get to the other side of the lake faster on your couch, but the person on the standup is going to have a lot more fun getting there, and is also going to be in better shape. =)
kawasaki sucks so bad...every single one i have had has been awful with repairs and what not. bought a sea doo rxt-x last year and has been 10X better than any kawasaki i have ever had.

LOL ok. STand ups actually take skill to ride. You don't just have to sit there and pull the throttl. On peice of shit sit downs all you can do is go fast and turn. maybe a 180 and jump some waves. on Stand ups you can do barrel rolls nosestabs, submarines, backflips you can do hood tricks. and are a hell of alot more fun to ride. Stand up, waveblasters, and x2 the only skis that takes skill to ride them. Lets see you do that on any other ski other than the ones i just listed
I agree Waveblaster, Stand-ups are much more agile and fun to perform tricks on. I was only out jumping them because we were riding on the Mississippi, and we were trailing a few barges near a sharp bend in the river. It was creating some huge wake... I cranked it up near 70 and hoped that the landing didn't hurt too much.
I don't understand why this video causes so much hate... It was something funny and embarrassing that happened to me, and I thought it would be cool to share? Ideas?
Again, you are mixing up brand names of Kawasaki and Yamaha... I will admit I am wrong if you go the links in the side bar that take you to Kawasaki's website and to a picture of the Ultra 150. If you can't find the name jet ski listed at the manufactures website or photo, I will pull this video down. If you find you have made a mistake, it's ok to admit you were incorrect, it's good for the soul :)
LOL... This follower guy is as funny as hell! The guy you are replying to also posted the video. Hint, the yellow highlight around his post means he posted the video. So I assume that ScreenRacer is the guy on the jet ski. According to Wikipedia: "The names WaveRunner, Jet Ski, or Sea-Doo, are brand names owned by Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Bombardier, respectively." As for falling off the of the jet ski, Hilarious!!! If you have never fallen off, your not riding hard enough.
Thanks for providing us with the hilarious replies! That was my Ultra 150 Jetski. Yes it is a Kawasaki (look it up). You're confusing brand names with identification. By brand name, Kawasaki's identify all of their PWC's as jetski's. If your riding Yamaha, they call it a waverunner. If your riding a Seedoo, they call them watercraft, and musclecraft. So as you already pointed out, you have a Kawasaki Jetski®. And a Yamaha Waverunner. You already pointed out why your wrong, you just can't see it
Maksy111 is correct above. If you go to the Kawasaki website, they call all of of their watercraft "jet ski's". CPFollower, you should Learn about pwc b4 you post stupid replies... Your ass is now owned + 1 - Read it at weep: kawasaki(.)com/products/watercraft(.)aspx
