Reg and Catherine did not just cure their fistula patients. They also financially helped and taught them.

Mamitu and Letekidan, two their former patients, illiterate and poor, were taught by the Hamlins to be great surgeons who could teach graduates from Medical schools!

The humble and devoted Dr Ambaye,a graduate of the good Black Lion Medical school in Addis and a practitioner of long experience,is their worthy successor.

I am praying for these women The are born into a hellish life where they have no choice but to marry young and lose their innocence then get discarded like trash by their own families if they get sick. Im glad there is an organisation helping them though.
