It is NOT a random occurance. It is an Easter Egg. This easter egg can be activated by putting Disc 1 in your DVD player. Then go to options and highlight the THX logo and punch in the numbers "11," "3," and "8," waiting for the pause after each number. (Depending on your DVD remote format you may have to push 10+ then "11.". If you cannot access it through the menu, it's title 10 on the disc).
