  • the song is great

  • R.I.P. Edmundo Ros.

  • it makes me completly melancholic.

i'm 40 years old, belgian, and i can whislte this song along. looking it up on the web i find edmundo (who just died) had a difficult time to find his ways. but finally he made a great career. most of all it makes me reflect about the power of internet. the song was created in 1957. some mrdeanmartin recorded the vinyl here in 2008. hope i live another 60 years to find out where this world will be moving next.

  • There is a simple, timeless elegance and beauty to this...RIP Edmundo Ros and thank you for the great recordings.

  • The great man died today, remember him on the bbc radio in the 1950s !!

  • What wonderful memories of nights spent dancing to this song....brings all my youthful days back.

  • My Mother bought this record for the Christmas of 1958 and played it to death the next couple of years. Of course, it became my favorite also. Christmas 1958 has always stood out in my memory.

  • This song takes me way back to when I was a child & I would hear it on my Mom`s record player....that`d back in the late 50`s. That wasn`t yesterday...lol! I`ve always loved it...Thanks for the memory<3

  • This is a sweet song and is so haunting.. and again is one of my favourites..

  • Thank you for sharing this old song.

Vielen, vielen Dank.

  • It's a great song. A very, very great song.

    Nobody waits for me. :(

  • Thank you for posting

  • i didn't know edmundo ros, until 2 days ago, when a bought a EP witch contains this song.

sounds a bit like Harry Belafonte (calypso style)

    nice song!

  • He really is good, Love it! reminds me of my childhood.

  • Klasse Song - nie vergessen!!!

  • Wonderful. When I was a child in the 1970s my parents allowed me to play there old and scratchy records. My mothers favourite was Edmundo Ros "Melody d'amour" and it became mine... Somehow the record disappeared - but no it's back. Thanks to modern internet. Fabulous!

  • Thank you for this post! My father and I knew him well, back in the sixties and seventies, and had most of his albums, but they seem to have gone astray, so it's great to hear him again! His was the most popular Latin-American orchestra in Europe. Does anyone remember the Edmundo Ros Club on Regents St. in London? We had a wonderful birthday party there one night, and danced 'til 5am! Now I see that he has a lot of music on CD's, so I'll go out and buy some.

  • Thanks for all the Edmundo Ros numbers.

  • i got a lot of good memories on the songs and music of Edmundo Ros, i like " come to the mardigras" and all of his music

  • I love the sound of Edmundo Ros . . his muisc and also his singing. Thank you for this post.
