TAX THE RICH!!! for decades many fake politicians have been giving tax cuts in exchange for votes. Firstly, this is fiscally irresponsible. Secondly, tax cuts help the wealthy more than anyone else. In fact they indirectly hurt the poor because of the budget cuts that come as a result of the reduced tax revenues. Nobody likes paying taxes, but they are necessary for a government to exist, and a government is necessary for a civilized society to exist. Look up Government in the dictionary.

I ran into the same roadblock when I tried to leave a message for Marco Rubio about the Jobs Act. After what seemed like 15 minutes of a 'speech' to the person that answered the phone, I asked him: OK what is the message? He gave it a one line summary which did not express my message at all. Good Grief - how can we depend on these people to give our representatives our message?

There is 100% convergence between the OWS movement and the progressive wing of the D party.

We are a democracy, a nation of laws. All of the policy/law changes we need will have, at some point, to be passed by a MAJORITY of our elected officials.

Street protests are absolutely necessary, so is voting and so is taking over the government through legal electoral politics.

Standing on the outside looking in and complaining is not enough, .at some point you have to get involved with governance.

Holy mother of god, this is the lamest, emptiest, most nakedly desperate try by the Democratic Party to use Occupy momentum in a partisan way to get Dems elected. Hearing these vacuous candidates robotically parrot Occupy talking points like they had first heard of these ideas that morning is painful. The Progressives are a kind of different group loosely associate with the Democrats, much how the Tea Party is to the Republicans. Though I think the Progressives should form their own political party. I doubt they're anything like the sell-out Democrats, thus at least they're being part of the solution, not the problem.

@NaziGOPBallmer - The Democratic Party is the party that has historically stood for all the things the Occupy people are fighting for. They have traditionally stood behind unions, public workers, the middle class, the environment. They believe in progressive taxes. So, what Occupy is doing is telling Democrats (and everyone else) that 99% of the people are NOT being represented fairly in Washington.

In some recently past TYT video, Cenk was reporting how Wall St. fatcats are getting their panties in a bunch when they found out Democrats were claiming to support OWS.
