immediately beside my condominium building here in Morumbi a plot of land is fast becoming a favela. Four years ago there was in invasion of 20 people, now its close to 150.The "elite" politicians you refer to are ONLY kept in power by these same people...its bricks for votes as you probably know. Real democracy does not exist here in Brazil... as as long as every "bairo noble" has a favela it never will. Favelas should not be tolerated nor should social injustice.
