When I said mediocre I meant in 1991 there were scores of bands around the world already on record labels that could play and perofrm better than this. As long as they just took it as a hobby, that's the main thing.
This guitar player cannot make his mind up whether he wants to mimic Malmsteen or Dokken and the song itself sounds like they keep on going into Iron Maiden. Pretty medicre stuff for its time, but the vocals are not bad so I agree with that comment.
It is funny because this is the first time I have seen Quick Shimmy live! Though I was travelling back in 91 so was out of Jersey for a long period of time. But I think it is a little unfair in calling them shit. 1991 is 17 years ago and you have to imagine what the band would be like if it were still going now? (Tony Kempster, crikey that's a name from the past...... I wonder if still wears eye liner..........? :-)
Hey Mightymuth89, in your opinion you may think the song is crap but that's a subjective comment. Track is 100% live with no overdubs. Sure there maybe a mistake or two (I doubt you can even pinpoint them) but I would love to see your offering. If you can demonstrate better then respect..if not shut the fuck up and start practicing!
