  • So are you still not buying the mountain house meals? What do you now for meals besides bacon?

  • @markshmily Still use mountain house. Some cheaper alternatives that I like are the instant potatoes. Just add water. I use them just like the Mountain house in that I pour the water right into the pouch. I hate doing dishes in the backcountry. The instant oatmeal. Same thing, pour water right into the pouch. Cup 'o' noodles. Much of it depends on what trip I'm going on. That will really dictate what I bring.

  • A Question for u. On your Moonlight escape trip wit nutnfancy youve carried a satchel along wit ur backpack. One that goes around ur stomach, wondering which brand ut is n how much you paid for it. By the way i enjoy ur videos from seoul s. Korea. Im originally from ny living n working in Seoul. Thanks for ur work, i get less homesick

  • @baseballman74 Ribz front pack. You can find it anywhere from about $40-$60ish.

  • You're in the Uintas, aren't you....

  • The beauty of what Heavenly Father has created is what you like about that area. Time to think and clear the mind and relax. What an area to enjoy your meal. Thanks for share.

  • @DennyRec I believe that to be true my friend.

  • I did my first solo into Bigfoot Country last year. It was a very special experience. - You must have had a blast.

  • @GungHo1032 It was fun. Fun to reminisce about having been there years before with some old friends too.

  • I'm not sure I'd set up real close to the base of that rock formation with all the signs of rock deposition. Chancey!

  • @ooberzoobersober That's something I evaluated when there. Felt very comfortable where I was.

  • wasatash mountain state park?

  • wat tent r u using

  • @DuckBoy266 The Zephyr 2. If interested, I have a review of it on my page. Tried posting a link here, but would not work.

  • @Cr0cket20 thanx u rock

  • Where is this?

  • this is my favorite trip video of yours. You should make them this long again (~20 min)

  • @IrishProductionsND Thanks Irish. This was a real fun one. Especially re-visiting an area that I had gone to so many years ago.

  • just to poke at you.... looks like you need some trekking poles on this terrain.... ') haha

good video.. been watching most of yours the last few days... thanks for the time and effort you spend making them.

  • @n2h20 LOL. Thanks for watching.

  • If you like mountain house(I sure do). Check walmart. They have them in the hunting area and if you can hold off until deer season is over they all go on clearance.

  • @basszack Good advice. Thanks.

  • @basszack Not to mention they are half as much there as everywhere else

  • What backcountry are you in? High Uintas?

  • @kyleyarn Yep.

  • Getting caught up on your vids another 5/5

  • @medicjimr Thanks medic. This was a fun solo trip. Not near as far as what you just went on though.

  • what camera are you using?

is the weight worth it to bring?

    how much does it cost?

    do you recommend it?

  • @milesgiordani Older camera Sony DCR-HC38 (should have a newer version out)

Weight isn't a huge thing with me (although I do consider it). I feel it is definitely worth it.

Cost around $300 maybe for the newer version (just an educated guess)

Recommend it. Yes, but you must consider that the mini dv technology is a little outdated. Most manufactures are going in a different direction.

  • Wow it's beautiful out there. I plan on heading out there this summer to backpack. Really looking forward to it. Thanks for taking the video camera with you...I know it takes extra energy to film on hikes...ppl don't understand until they do it.

  • Yes, taking the camera does add extra work. But I do find it fun. Hope you enjoy your time this summer. I can't wait to get up there again. I have spring fever bad.

  • the bee coming out of the flower...epic!

  • Just glad he didn't sting me.

  • If we only had more time to spend outdoors & make videos.

This was an awesome video, really made me hate the office today & am craving some outside time more than ever.

  • I hear ya. I'm getting spring fever bad. I'm thinking about all these trips I want to go on this upcoming season, but have no idea how to fit them in timewise.

  • No doubt, I'm always looking for weekend that are open, but as a husband & dad I'm mostly busy all the time.

  • haha "Couldn't stand the Weather" perfect song choice

  • Next time you can find some yarrow crush it up and rub it all over your self and it will keep those little vampires away.

  • Don't know what that is, but I will do some research. Cause I'm sure I could use it next time. Thanks for the comment and suggestion.

  • are u crazy go fishing did u see those trout

  • I went up the following weekend and fished on that trip. This trip I didn't have time to obtain my license. After watching the fish jump, I was really craving fresh fish.

  • Man you are so blessed to live in a part of the country with that scenery. I would spend 99% of my free time outdoors if I lived up there.

  • Agreed. If I got a job out of state, it would have to be an extremely good job for me to leave the mountains/outdoor activities around here. Honestly, don't know if I could leave.

  • This place looks great. Were you in CO? What's this place called?

  • Utah. High Uintas.
