  • thnk you, this is priceless

  • Best. Night. Of. My. Life.

  • They did exactly the same thing @ Main Square Festival (Arras, France) 3 days ago :D I was in the front row, it was amazing !!! They played with Richard Perry too, both Win and him were completely unexpected by the audience.

  • arcade fire ive seen twice now ,the last being at hyde park london and they blew the place apart, the national i discovered when they played glastonbury 2010, caught them live in warwick and they too lifted the roof, now im just waiting for the national to tour the uk again,i just wish it was the national surpporting arcade fire at hyde park instead of mumford and shit sons:0)

  • Is there any collaboration more amazing than Arcade Fire/The National??

  • I saw AF live for the first time in Indianapolis and was in the second row right in front of Win for this song . When Win walked out, my heart skipped a beat and tears began welling up in my eyes. This is my favorite song by The National and seeing them do it together was so amazingly beautiful.

  • Wow!

Now, The National and Arcade Fire, do this in the UK please?

  • I was there at this concert, and when Win walked out, it was SO INCREDIBLE. I don't know if I've ever screamed so hard. BEST. 16th. BIRTHDAY. PRESENT. EVER. I liked The National before I went to the concert, but I'm really starting to appreciate how remarkable they are now. I wish I'd been more into them prior to the concert.

  • Being on the floor for this show was incredible. Hands down the best concert I've been to.

  • this was such an amazing show! i traveled from canada just to see it!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you! The Arcade Fire and The National are two of my favorite bands, and this was amazing video. I love you!

I saw The Arcade Fire in Vegas. I flew 16 hours (I live really far away!), and spent a lot of money. Local Natives opened, and they were amazing, but I wish I could have seen The National, too.

When I see things like this, I feel bad I live in a country that doesn't get acts like this. Be happy you live in Chicago! (I assume you live in Chicago!)

  • @randomnumber89 glad you enjoy it. and i am unceasingly thankful that i live in chicago :)

  • I was up in the balcony and couldn't see shit around the speakers. nice to see it from this perspective. thanks for posting :)

  • I can honestly say seeing this in person was one of the best moments of my life.

  • Wow, nice grab!

  • nice to see win can sing an octave higher!

  • this is a dream...why this kind of things don't happened in chile? :(

  • @largeman Thanks for posting these. Saw the show on the 24th and 25th, the last night was amazing for both arcade fire and the National.

  • 1:04.. yes Win is desirable.

  • i'm guessing the people who were bothering you aren't monitoring this post to make sure you enjoyed the show. if someone is annoying you, tell them to shut the fuck up. it's not that difficult.

  • wow u should make an album together haven't u think about it?

  • Damn americans just scream for no reason at all. Annoying as hell. STFU and enjoy the show!

  • this was so great.

the drunk college/high school kids raging out and lifting each other up and shouting requests at the national -- interrupting the concert -- were not. in fact, they were the worst, and severely hindered my enjoyment of The National's portion of the evening. luckily i had moved far enough away from them by the time Arcade Fire took the stage.

  • @bobbylibby that high school kid was not afraid to show his love :)

  • @largeman it's possible to show your love without completely annoying and visually obstructing those around you. the way these children were behaving made the concert about THEM, and it was just the worst. my favorite part was when, during a song, they saw a guy in the crowd who looked like one of their friends and pulled him over to them to take a picture. during a song. directly in front of me. obnoxious. they'll (you'll?) understand when you're not 17-20.

  • @largeman Fuck those kids. We somehow got between their group of 35. Worst 10 minutes of my life.

  • @largeman If you're propping your friend who's passing out against other concertgoers, you are doing concerts wrong. But great video! I love reliving the magic!

  • @bobbylibby So agreed! Greatest show I have seen in a long time - most obnoxious crowd I have also seen in a long time!

  • @451JMJ Actually, the crowd as a whole I found to be great, just this one bad apple of a group. If you looked around, no one else was lifting people up, pumping fists (at The National -- a great band, not a "fist-pumpy" band), shouting requests. There was one girl who someone hoisted on their shoulders during "Wake Up", but that's fine for a one time thing. We kept track for Arcade Fire - the children sat on each others shoulders no less than NINE times.

  • @bobbylibby I, too, enjoyed 98% of the show - I happen to be in my late 40s and everyone screaming every word around me was driving me crazy - I wanted to hear those amazingly talented voices in the band, not the drunk girl behind me screaming at the top of her lungs - that was my only complaint! Sounds like fun was had by all!

  • @bobbylibby take it easy.

  • @bobbylibby They were highschool kids drinking vodka. "WE JUST GRADUATED BLAH BALHIJ SDOIJLKJ"

  • winnnnnnniiiie!

  • So epic!

  • Beautiful

  • tks for the upload!! you're my favourite person in youtube now cause of this
