America has so many problems that we don't recognize. Greed has become a huge problem. Thankfully it is finally being openly talked about(occupy wall street), but also our obsession with celebrity is out of control.
he said that hollywood(media in general) is very tightly managed and controlled... and it should change and be fair for black people and fair to the american population in general... the government controls us very well and because they couldn't get their way with Dave is why Dave dropped out of the mainstream... he cant try to fight them, i wouldn't be surprised if the man dies young or his life somehow turns extremely negative... this is the world we live in today smh...hes a legend!!
Intelligent guy, inspirational and i hate using this phrase but i feel like it's the only way to describe it...he keeps it REAL to the fullest. Most people would've done whatever for the type of money that was within his grasp. He's just honest about the way he is and wants to live. I really respect that, and that's what makes this guy a legend in his genre already
Damn that black chick who asked a question was so fucking ghetto! Big ups to Mr. Dave Chappelle. This guy is totally brilliant and incredibly laid back.
I KNOW THIS IS COMPLETELY WEIRD AND THE ONLY REASON WHY I AM ASKING THIS IS BECAUSE I READ THE ARTICLE EARLIER TODAY.. IS THAT AMANDA KNOX AT 2:24? THE U.S. CITIZEN WHO WAS ACCUSED FOR MURDER.
dave is a genius (period). when he was talking abou tthe institutionalization of racism that was on e of hte most real things i have heard in a long time... he is a wise, observant person and i think thats something many people admire about dave. its just real... thank you dave chappelle for the laughs!
HANDS DOWN my favorite 'Inside the Actors Studio.' Mr. Chappelle is such an intelligent man with an interesting and realistic view of the world. Great comedian, Great guy. I wish him the best of luck.

@kadirit Its got nothing to do with getting ahead of myself... I just admire the guy that much. Hes been my role mode (i know its crazy haha) since i was a kid. I think of him as the same way i think of family because of how much respect i have for him. To me hes like the Micheal Jackson of comedy to this generation. And you've seen how crazy people are about MJ lol
After watching this video, alot of things came into my mind about racism and the nation as a whole and I actually put alot of these things into perspective. This interview may not be classified as "educational" but I learned alot about myself and how the world works sometimes. Dave Chappelle is a very smart man who didn't succumb to the idea of being richer. He stayed true to himself and his beliefs and that's what makes him special and beloved. Probably the realest comedian of all time
amazing realism from a truly straight up guy i dont know why anyone would dislike this dave chappelle is a very funny and intelligent comedian one of the best of all time his sketches are comedy gold
"things like racism are institutionalized, it's systemic. you might not know any biggots, well i dont hate black people so i'm not a racist, but you benefit from racism just by the merit of the color of your skin"....................... very profound and it articulates a lot of what's going on.
my god, I never expected that dave, out off all the comedians, out of all the people I have met in real life and telivision that I grew up watching, I never once expected that dave chapel would actualy teach me a real deap life lesson
third time I saw this show in its entirety. Awesome every time. Richard Pryor is funny. To this day, his standup is pretty amazing. But Dave really is something else.
The crowd loves him. I mean they really love him. It's not respect or awe, which is there. But it's just pure love for the guy. It's beautiful.
@thefastshuffle i totally get what u meen if u ever bored or something check out the episode when he interviews lipton and check out the beggining when he gets introduced to the crowd . it is just amazing and beautiful the way they react to his presance and i dont blame them , Dave is an extrodinary man
hes right about the money thing. i mean, i would HATE to win $100 million in the lottery, because the amount of people comming out of the woodwork pretending to be your friends, and backstabbing etc. you just wouldnt know who your real friends are anymore and you might be sitting on a large amount of money but your lonely like hell. money isnt the root of all evils, its the love of money that is.....
I'm white. You cannot blame black people for any of their racism. that would be like blaming palestinians for their anti-semitism.. please don't kill my family lool
@shortlimb1 there is an educational series called "School house rock" and they sing songs about different things in history and so on and many school show them to children. I love how when Dave says his biggest turn on is a woman with nice titties and ass, Lipton says that Dave has shown more honesty per square inch than 12 years worth of guests. He says that because everytime he's asked his guests what turns them on, they always answer some overly sophisticated bs just to sound politically correct while Dave went straight to the obvious and true answer.
