Hey man. I have a song that I am working on and need some help and I think you will be able to help me. Please let me know if you can get a minute! Thank you!
Sorry to seem like a douche but I guess it was a glitch, I tried to figure out what was wrong for like an hour and then decided to ask for help and restart ableton, thanks for the tutorials btw they're great.
Nevermind all you gotta do is hit the control button. But I have another question while on ableton I sometimes accidentally hit a button and it makes my arm session, the track with the little red light on it, sound really low pitched while I play the keys off my keyboard, but when I actually insert the midi and play it off my song it's nit low pitch, so I was wondering what do I do to make it normal pitched.
I don't know if you have very much experience with ableton but do you know what button to click to allow more than one solo to play, it's painstaking to have to turn off each individual track just to get only two tracks to play at one time.
Easily best tutorials on youtube. I had been using this technique but have always been to afraid to consciously leave as many gaps or just use samples. Thanks to you and this tutorial, I now have full confidence in using samples instead of just using synths, which as you mentioned, guzzles cpu. You can have a great song no matter what, as long as it fits together which you have shown is very possible. Many thanks!
hey ryan, I'm a little confused on how you make all your music. do you mostly use samples or do you make all the synth sounds yourself and then play every little part? also, how do the guys like porter robinson and skrillex do their music - are they using mostly samples too?
thanks a million for the tutorials, they help a ton!
this program doesnt make sense to me. its not that its complicated, it just isnt practical. same with massive fl and cubase. i just like ableton and reason
@AceTheIntrovertMusic there not that complicated, say 2 weeks of using it quite frequently and you should know your way round quite easily, on the contrary logic is one of the most uncomplicated programs, it all perfectly laid out, and it no way near as complicated and pain in the ass as cubase, i honestly think cubase is garbage
@fepav Not true! Justice uses Garageband, and made most of there famous tracks using it. They even stated that people underestimate the power of garageband during an interview.
great videos. theres plenty on the web about making patches but not so much explaining genre specific production techniques. this "fills a gap" thanks for sharing :)
man you need to put together a sample pack with heaps of your samples in there! maybe like one drum one and then one with synth fills, and a whole lot of massive patches. i would definitely buy it!!!
@AlexRider001 haha i will try and find some time to have a go. Yea i have wobbles in my songs that i manage to fit in really well with other sounds, but to be honest i make pretty stock standard wobbles! but will give it a go.
Great vid thanks. Would love to see how you load the samples you found into the sampler etc. Like the back end to creating these fills. Finding the samples for this. Not sure what kind of samples, where do u find them or do they come with the VST? and how to load up 128 samples to a sampler? do u play the samples in or draw them in midi or what?
MAN I LOVE YOU. ty so much..

What program is this, and how much does Massive cost? I used the trial, but it only gives you thirty minutes, little time to get the feel for it.

Awesome video! The title is quite confusing though, usually a fill is what you call a drum fill at the end of the 4th bar or w/e, like a snare roll.
